    Binge-Worthy and Well Researched
Recently, my family and I took a DNA test to see what our lineage is. I was extremely surprised to find that I am 98% Irish. I expected a wider mix as most people in America get on those tests. We looked deeper into our history until we found some of our Irish ancestors coming to America. Anyways, that isn’t the point. Knowing this, I wanted to reconnect with my family’s history because it’s common for most Americans to lose touch with traditions, history, etc. So I was searching high and low for podcasts on Irish history. Then, I found this one. I have binged so many episodes already, and it is something I look forward to listening to every day! Kevin makes listening to history entertaining, as if listening to a story (instead of being monotoned like all my past history professors). You can tell the effort and love he puts into this podcast. Also, extremely well researched. The more I listen, the more excited I am to learn more. Learning about my ancestor’s history has given me something I didn’t realize I was missing, and Kevin makes it so much fun. So thank you Kevin and his team for this podcast. Keep doing what y’all are doing. I’m going to recommend this podcast to everyone I know! :)

    Well Done
There are a lot of garbage podcasts out there, this one is, so far, excellent. They are well researched, the host is both knowledgeable and insightful. I wish the episodes were longer, 45 minutes is a better length for me, especially when driving.

    Look forward to each episode
My family started listening when visiting Ireland this summer on the long drive from Dingle to Dublin. We became obsessed. You would think that a blow by blow description of British-Irish negotiations would be tortuous, however Kevin makes the events and personalities come alive. I eagerly await each new episode!

    Terrific
Interesting, informative, engaging! I came late to this, when it already had over 60 episodes, but changed the settings so it played “oldest to newest” and was able to hear it in chronological order. Binge-listened while walking the dog or cooking. Short episodes, just enough to absorb each time.

    Good podcast misleading title
Interesting podcast and some very in depth sourcing and lesser known stories . Should be titled the History of Irish Revolution As we are 56 episodes into the revolutionary period and can't remember an episode not about this period .

    Great Podcast
I just found this podcast a couple of weeks ago. And all I can say is wow! Kevin has a wonderful voice and great comic timing. This is such as serious topic that comic relief is needed and he provides it. I usually listen to three or four episodes together since they are about 15 minutes each which at first thought they would be too short to get much detail, but he gets a lot in those 15 minutes. Definitely recommend!

    Great podcast
It’s a History of the formation of modern Ireland and its great. It’s in short digestible episodes. Oddly enough, I’ve since come to learn that de Valera met my forbears in his trip to the US and that his visit was viewed as a strange novelty event.
