PaintedCliffsPlant based without processed foodsI loved episode #159 with Rachel Dreskin but was frustrated to hear her give stats on vegans based on sales of vegan processed foods. Many vegans like me rarely use processed “meats,” etc., so when you’re estimating how many vegans there are in the world, don’t forget that lots of us are literally plant-based. Veggies, beans, nuts, seeds! Thank you for your podcasts.

ken swensenThe right questionsRecently discovered this podcast and listened to a dozen episodes. Nil is a talented interviewer, going deep into the question we all want answered - how do we fix this food and animal and planetary mess we created? No easy answers but asking the right questions, and shining some light on the path.
-

Dana PolenaLet the guest speak!I arrived at your podcast because of a search for Captain Paul Watson. He is a phenomenal interviewee, and is filled with more life knowledge and experience than most conservation-minded people. The host spent so much time talking and babbling, that I kept wishing he would be humble enough to let the Captain do most of the talking. And save his own chatter for the podcast where he interviews himself. But thank you for having Watson on and spreading his words!
-
rnhansenInspirational and information-packedNil talks with so many great people and is a great conversationalist with all of them. I have listened to every episode and feel like I learn something from the various guests or Nil himself with each new one. I’ve learned about some new products while getting to hear the backstory about many that I’ve eaten or used for years like Tofurkey or Follow Your Heart, which we’re both standouts. Other standout episodes included both of the episodes that the Sarno brothers - Derek and Chad - separately did, John Mackey, Audrey Lawson from Balanced, Michael Gregor, Next Level Burger, Rich Roll, Julie Piatt, Jacy Reese, captain Paul Watson, Ethan Brown, Rob Laing, Myoko, Paul Shapiro, and Bruce Friedrich. The EFTP book is also awesome and essential. I look forward to each future episode and learning more from each new guest Nil brings on!
-
aflm7Highly informative and inspiringJeffrey Harris is on to something transformative with his vegan fast good idea and the Plant Power enterprise he's created to drive it. And Nil's knowledge of the vegan / plant based movement and thoughtful questions made for a very interesting hour. Well done and good luck to you both! We need you to succeed!
-
Pluto247Good but....Stop saying “at the end of your the day” so much. And why “sort of” so much? Also stop agreeing with literally everything. Challenge your guests just a little bit. You congratulate and thank way too much
-
thechumasInspirationalI purchased Nil's book after hearing his amazing story on Rich Roll's podcast. I subsequently purchased a book for both of my office waiting rooms to share with everyone sitting there waiting to see me. His podcast is equally inspiring and educational. Thanks for doing what you do.

GhisleliGreen planetVery insightful and eye opening podcast with interviews that that prompt us to question the way we have been eating food and be more mindful about where our food comes from and at what cost to the planet, our health and animals. Excellent!!!!
-
MirnaFalknerGreat Sources, but #31 falsely denied biomass#31 - I have to dissagree with the assertion that plants need animals for food. They actually don't, they need biomass (organic matter) also known as compost (plant material) in combination with natural minerals (decomposing/leaching rocks and soil). Plants take these nutrients and make them biologically available (bioavailability) to human-animals and non-human animals alike. Sure, plants have adapted to also accept animal matter, if in small quanity and properly decomposed, but plants existed long before the first animal species, so the roots of their evolution stems from being self-sustaining (pants need other plants). Pollonation has changed for most plants to include animals, but this is managed by the ecosystem so long as it is healthy (pesticide-free).

stardust108Episode AvailabilityIs the Jan 15th (I think?) episode with Dr. McMacken not available? I got an email about it, but looking at the podcast now I don’t see it listed.
-
SerizyRiveting, eye-opening, mind expanding!I have listened to two of these podcasts (#31 on healthy eating and #34 on clean protein) and they have both lit a fire under me to take the leap into plant based eating. I am late to the party, but now I see that moving away from human, animal, and planetary suffering caused by animal based eating is the great awakening occurring now. I have tried many times to become a vegan only to abandon the effort, feeling sick, tired and run down. I was doing it all wrong! The two episodes I listened to were the perfect primer for my new commitment to plant based eating. So informative, helpful and confidence inspiring. I am very grateful! Thank you to all who contributed!

-
barbaraz8Excellent interviewI’ve been familiar with the Tofurky products once their launch. It was wonderful to see all the ways the company has grown. This interview was particularly exciting as to the future of food and it’s inherent systems and the collaboration required to move the industry into the future. Nil asked well balanced and thoughtful questions that shaped the interview effectively. I might have shortened his preambles were I asked for edits but the interviewee seemed agreeable. Well done.
-
David CorteseInformative, important podcastNils has some of the food industries best guests where he explores how all of us can eat for a better future - great work, great podcast!
-
Nils'fanTerrific series!I was already onboard reading onegreenplanet.org because it is a more hopeful newsletter than most. In this series, the founder of that site, Nils, interviews many different types of guests, on subjects to do with plant-based eating, and really gives us all a heads up and lots of information on what is currently happening, and how we got here. It is upbeat and thorough, the guests all leaders from all sides of the plant-based world, including production, medical, entrepreneurs, ETC. I am really enjoying this series and hope there will be many more podcasts to come. Thanks, Nil!
-
Paolars25Informative and innovativeI accidentally found this podcast, and although some of the first episodes could have used better audio recording, the information is valuable, interesting and hopeful about what individuals and companies are doing for sustainability of our planet and to find solutions to feed the human world.
