    Science Meets Ethics
Simon Hill clearly has his listeners’ health foremost in mind. Whether he supports a product or concept about health and nutrition, it is because he has given both a fair evaluation based on science and research.

    My Favorite Podcast!
This is by far my favorite health and nutrition podcast. Simon seems to look at all research from an unbiased lens and it is so refreshing and so needed. I’m currently working to make my way through all episodes!

    One of my favorite podcasts!
This is one of my favorite health/nutrition podcasts to listen to. I have been able to learn so much from each episode and approach all topics with a better understanding. I love the non biased approach to a lot of controversial topics as Simon chooses to follow what science and the studies prove to be true. Thank you for all of your hard work!

    Useful information
I really like this podcast. I listen to a lot of health and wellness podcasts and I appreciate Simon Hill’s approach He gives useful advice and enough of the science and research without going too deep. I also like that he often narrates and offers snippets from experts to support the narrative. I find this format creates a more straightforward message. Well done. Good topics.

    Thank you so much !
I love all your podcasts, you are one of my primary trusted resources. But this one on dietary fats is EXCELLENT! I’ve been so confused on how to eat to not increase risk of diabetes but also keep my cardiovascular health good. You cleared up a lot and so helpful to have it in this masterclass Thank you!!!!

Best Unbiased Source of Nutrition and Fitness Information
Short of reading thousands of nutrition studies and synthesizing them into a framework of living healthy, and doing so continually as new studies become of available, and finally synthesizing all of that into actionable science based frameworks for eating, moving and living, Simon is the best source of information. He does this work for you so that you can spend 2-3 hours a week (if you want) listening to summarized, though still highly technical and nuanced, information, rather than having to spend 40 hours a week doing it yourself.Simon is a vegan who often acknowledges that certain animal products can he part of a healthy dietary pattern, and that his reasons for being a strict vegan are ethical, not necessarily entirely nutritional. As a vegan myself, I view this as a rare sign of someone who is presenting unbiased information and isn’t tainted by tribalism or dogmas. I want the truth, so I can decide what to do with my life. Simon has enabled me to take control of my life and health, rather than have my actions driven by the perverted system we are all part of. Simon I’d love to hear your thoughts on this new study regarding olive oil: Recipe for Heart Health: A Randomized Crossover Trial on Cardiometabolic Effects of Extra Virgin Olive Oil Within a Whole-Food Plant-Based Vegan Diet Andrea M Krenek et al. J Am Heart Assoc. 2024.

    Wealth of Information
I have been listening to Simon’s podcast for years. I love his deep dive episodes, it really equips me with concrete information to make informed decisions about my health and wellness. episode 338 was mind blowing. Although I did find the females voice annoying, especially the giggles during silent pauses. But I think it’s a girl thing because I do it all the time too. we laugh during silent, pauses, or after sentences might want to take this into consideration when recording another episode. one of the main things I love of Simon’s podcast is the flow and professionalism. The giggles are offputting.
  • pkm670218
Not sure including giggling girlfriend is good idea
Incredible source of information. However, what has always been considered a serious podcast is marred by the presence of the giggling partner in the most recent episode. Hope this will be addresssed, either by editing or some media training.

    Solo episodes
I love all of the episodes where Simon does a deep dive into nutrition with guests, but I especially loves the shorter solo episodes he does that summarize a particular topic like dietary fat tips. I realize that summarizing this information while still trying to explain some of the nuance is particularly difficult but Simon navigates it beautifully. I also love how he emphasizes total dietary pattern over perfection. “Don’t let perfection be the enemy of good.” Thank you for helping me build a SUSTAINABLE diet and lifestyle.

    omega 3’s
I thought this was so clear and to the point with a second credible party as well. This is part of why as a paid intuitive and healer who has been plant based for 55 years listens to him. I want good science with a felt sense of alignment with life and our planet and Simon delivers that.
  • Lemonbrau
    Simon is an excellent teacher!
The most recent episode covering dietary fats was well researched, and presented in a way that’s very interesting and easy to understand. Future Simon-only episodes covering other topics would be welcome!

On point interviews with health researchers
Simon Hill asks the questions I would ask and then the questions that I didn’t even think of. He interviews the people researching the health topics we need to understand for our wellbeing. When things get technical, he provides a summary that anyone can understand. I listen mainly to understand nutrition and exercise better. Other topics such as mental health are also covered. I just listened to an excellent one of these. It is pretty easy to pick out the things that apply to you versus others. All this is so far from the sensationalized controversial anecdotal sound bites that some of my friends send me. Yes, it requires more thought and time, but it’s real knowledge. Thank you Simon!

    Always getting better ✨
I’ve been listening to Simon for YEARS now, and I’ve loved the evolution of this podcast. It’s so informative and grounded and I love his non-biased approach to health and longevity. You can tell that this is someone who cares, who gets it, and it here to deliver what we need. The episode he did with Axel is one of my favorites to date. Forever a listener 🤍✨

    Best podcast for health info
I really trust Simon and his guests. The information on the podcast is always so well articulated and researched. The podcast itself is really engaging and explains everything very well. Avid listener since it was ‘plant proof’!

    Scientifically Sound
Simon consistently invites specialists in the field of nutrition. The reviews of studies are communicated in a clear and concise manner. His book “The Proof is in the Plants” was reviewed by Red Pen Reviews and received the highest Scientific Accuracy Score (95%). If you’re looking for a podcast that reliably addresses health and nutrition, this is the place to go to.
  • mkenhan
Great way to learn about health science topics!
I look forward to every new episode of this podcast. The guests are all people with deep experience in their field, often leaders in that field. And Simon’s a great interviewer— he's clearly well read and can discuss the ins and outs of various studies with the experts. While the guests sometimes get a bit into the weeds, Simon is really good at pausing for a recap in more basic or practical terms. Strongly recommend this podcast!
  • feklempt
    Always excellent!
I don’t have a science or medical background but these episodes are so detailed that I feel I do. I so appreciate the variety of topics and guests that Simon chooses. What’s amazing is that he always offers opposing viewpoints and backs up every single idea with meticulous research.

This is The Most Important Thing
This is the most important thing I’ve seen. Episode #247 with George Monbiot is revolutionary, life changing/informing, and among the most important messages I’ve encountered. I’m reading his book asap, and supporting and helping the cause and the mission. Thank you Simon, George, and all your teams and connections. With loving peace and interbeing, Gav

    THE. BEST. SHOW. EVER.
Hands down!!! Best podcast, best show ever! I am constantly amazed at the amount of information I get from listening to Simon. Sometimes, as I’m listening and a question or two will pop in my head and I think to myself oh, but what about this or what about that? But he never fails to disappoint! All my questions always get answered. He is so thorough and thoughtful in that way. The thorough research Simon does, (because he is so conscientious, and truly cares about putting out only solid evidence-based information) is critical, crucial and accurate. I just listened to the podcast. He does with Dr. B on healing your gut after antibiotics, I would find myself shaking my head at the level of such important information….amazing! I am so grateful 🙏🏼 and sending this episode to my family (which I tend to do so many of his shows!) By the way, Dr. B (Will Bulsiewicz) is my all-time favorite Simon Hill guest and who is an exceptional doctor. THANK YOU @simonhill @theproof Mr. Hill for the EXCEPTIONAL work you do!!
  • Vegan Celiac
    The absolute best!
This podcast changed my life. I listened to the the optimising gut health compilation about a year ago. It had been 7 years since I was diagnosed with celiac and my Ttg Iga levels continued to be highly elevated despite a strict gfd. Misinformation on the internet had sent me down a meat heavy path, especially after my diagnosis, even though I grew up vegetarian. I did this to become healthier, it didn’t help. After listening to the two episodes, I adopted a whole food plant based diet and doubled down on plant diversity on my plate. My blood antibodies are now down in the normal range. Something I never imagined was possible. Thank you Simon.

    One of my favorite podcasts!
I have learned so much about health and nutrition from Simon Hill’s podcast. I appreciate the science-based approach he and his guests take to all the many topics they cover and kudos to Simon for hosting several episodes about menopause! Those were truly informative, important and necessary!

    Science backed, every time!
I’ve been listening to Simon since the very beginning. I was drawn in by his easy to listen to, balanced, kind, reasonable approach to the “nutrition wars”. I kept listening because he kept discussing relevant topics with brilliant guests who are experts in their field. And I’ll keep listening because I know he’s on the front end of nutrition, health, and well-being and that, as a health coach, I will learn something new every. single. episode. Keep going Simon!

    The best
Seriously can’t believe how well researched and high quality each episode is, even the topics that don’t immediately interest me end up being fascinating. I only wish I had been listening from the beginning, but have been gradually chipping away at the archives as well.

    My Favorite Podcast
This is the ACTUAL first time I’ve been compelled to write a review on anything. What I love about Simon is all of his podcasts are based on science and not emotion/personal feelings. Diet, lifestyle and nutrition is such a complex topic and I love to hear different points of view. Knowledge in this area is constantly evolving and this podcast highlights the main areas we should be focused on.
  • Reid.damnit
    Great Sports/wellness/science focused podcast

    My favorite podcast hands down!
Thank you Simon for your great work!
  • JessicaLCooper
Without a doubt the best podcast out there
I don’t say this lightly- you don’t need to be plant-based, an expert in fitness, or passionate about science to truly fall in love with all Simon has to say. I have learned so much from listening and while I am plant-based, taking all the knowledge I have acquired through hours and hours of his podcasts, all areas of my health have increased tremendously. I appreciate that there are no “blanket statements”, everything is truly based on science and data (all which are cited). The attention to detail is incredible and while I have pretty much listened to every single episode, I love listening more than once as I always learn something knew. This is truly the best!

    Listen and learn
I typically listen to each The Proof podcast with Simon Hill at least twice in order to absorb the great discussions and the extensive scientific detail. Worth every minute. Truth in disclosure: I am a retired biological scientist (nutrition/cancer metabolism) who just digs the challenge of learning new science and refreshing the old science. You don’t have to have a science background to understand the podcasts. You will come away with a new outlook. Thank you, Dr Hill.
  • Em0110!
