C’mon interviewer in 120! Listen to your expert!
The interviewer continued to refer to the dehumanizing “slaves” over and over again while the interviewee scholar consistently (with one exception) says “enslaved persons”. The interviewer just doesn’t get it and keeps it up without apology. Weird. Otherwise a great episode and podcast.

    Islamic Extremist
Really good podcast. Learned a lot!! I felt the comment about the number of Muslims that believe in violenc is a very small number or percentage is a little misleading. The number of Muslims who actually perform the violence maybe very small but I wonder how many Muslims support their actions? I’ve heard as much as 25% off all Muslims support extremists. Wonder if the show would like to comment on that thought?

Well Spoken and Good Information BUT....
Well Spoken and Good Information BUT all the ones I have listened to are definately replete with very liberal opinions woven into the 15 minutes. For example, on Brexit, more informational content and less opinion content would have made me want to hear more. Instead, the speaker expounds on her views indicating that the Brexit vote in the UK was a decision made by the uninformed who do not understand what is good for them versus what they voted for. I am always bothered such lofty analysis because it allows for less factual inquiry and does not provide a balanced presentation.

    Great History Brush-up in 15mn!
Love this program. It’s short enough to listen in morning or in car trips. Very helpful to brush-up on ones history knowledge. Especially helpful for parents like myself to listen too prior to my kids coming home from history class. Also very complimentary history background to current affairs. Thank You University of Texas!

    Texas History
Am I wrong or is there really not a fifteen minute capsule of Lone Star history? Or is it just too big a yarn to condense?

    Top Marks
History is obviously complex, though the hosts do a great job of summarizing important world events which lead to where we are now. Keep it up!

    So-so
It's a great idea - to have an extensive series of short presentations on history. But the talks and dialogs sound like these are young people repeating what a textbook says. There isn't a depth of understanding behind them. And small errors such as misuse of words reinforces the impression that they don't really know what they're talking about.
