The show gives a lot of very good information without leaning left or right. Seems like the only people who disagree are the trump zealots who can’t stand to see anyone question his poor decision making. Coverage is comprehensive over the bigger stories without droning on and on. Give it a shot, good daily listen for unbiased information.

As a left leaning person I gotta admit they are very quick to just talk about how to right is wrong. It would be better if they just talked about it. But overall very good bravo!

If I can listen to just one podcast, I would choose the BBC’s Global News Podcast. In thirty minutes, they cover the day’s important stories from anywhere in the world. The journalists are the best that I’ve ever heard.

For years the BBC was a respected news source. Now it’s no different than Fox or CNN. Not to mention the mispronunciation of people’s names & things like today’s report on Absinthe. The reporter was pronouncing it Absaanth. Disappointing

I have always revered BBC. No longer. You are so obviously biased against Israel, that you lose all credibility. Where are you daily (2x per day) reports about Sudan- losses worse than Palestine, Ethiopia- losses worse than Palestine, Mymar- losses greater than Palestine. Why are you not having stories of the daily suffering of families in these countries? The Israel/Palestinian war is terribly sad, but so are all of the others, and all deserve the same coverage and attention. I suppose I should vote with my feet.

The first issue was that you basically just accepted what they said and didn't challenge them at all. Probably because you agree with their agenda. The second issue is that with the way you worded it ("what would the world be like if young people were in charge?"), you made it seem like these people represent all young people. They don't. Not all of us are authoritarian control freaks like the people you talked to in that episode.

The reports are highly biased against Israel. Israel is not targeting hospitals or schools or apartments. They are targeting the death cult that is Hamas and Hezbollah. Both factions are so cowardly they hide among civilians. That part isn’t reported by BBC. Only that Israel bombed an apartment…etc. Just more of the same old story- the scapegoating of Jews. This reporting foments antisemitism. BBC has consistently some of the most biased reporting I have heard.

From the US, when I was growing up, we were often told to look at the BBC for reporting because it lacked the bias of national media. That time has passed. Every segment on the podcast has transparent bias. I’m not saying I necessarily disagree with the points of view, but I’m capable of forming my own opinion, I just want the facts. Please return to just reporting facts. The US needs an alternative from Fox News and CNN, not more of the same.

I thought this was an unbiased news network. I chose to listen to the bbc over our local clearly biased news networks because of this. Now I’m listening to free Kamala publicity. I guess the Democratic Party got in the bbc’s pockets as well.

(American here) So there was an article about Combover Caligula being inches from death, etc... Sure bullets were flying past him, hitting other people; but Im pretty convinced he was hit by glass. Otherwise he'd let his dr talk, and he'd release records. Just remember, he lies about everything.

I enjoy the podcast but I just heard President Biden stating he was in 15 time zones the week before the debate. CNN reported that as a false statement. Why would you end your reporting July 12 with him stating something false. It gave him an excuse for his performance. Now I wonder if the show is politically biased. I am trying to find news that is only fact-based so I’m disappointed.

Love this podcast but the lasted episode with Steve Bannon makes me want to rip my headphones out of my ears. Could he not be muted instead of repeating the same words and talking over the host? I’d rather not listen to that nuisance again.

The BBC’s coverage of Israel’s war in Gaza is shameful, but the 11/jan/24 episode was too much, even for them. Their usual un-subtle pro-Israel bias, the way they qualify with “Hamas-reported” every single time they must mention the almost 30k Palestinians that have been killed by Israel to invalidate them. The way they focus mainly on the Israeli victims of oct 7, 3+ months and 22,000+ dead palestinians later. The subtle and unsubtle ways they simply gaslight listeners. Just shameful. A disgrace, that a “respectable” legacy, traditional news source uses its prestige to bend the truth and disrespect facts just every single day now. To think that people rely on them for news, and eat this misinformation up, is just appalling.

Shame on BBC for broadcasting recordings or any representation of hostages made by combatants holding those interviewed. Broadcasting audio recordings of an elderly Israeli held by Hamas as if the portrayal represents anything other than the interests of the captors is so inappropriate, invasive and absurd as to represent a total disregard of a vulnerable person. BBC may be without a moral compass, or without a business ethics compass, if this is considered acceptable.

Some say it leans left or even supports Hamas. I don’t agree. To my ears it is reporting what is happening in the world, not placing a value on it.
