There’s a lot of great content in this show. Unfortunately there are also ad breaks that go on for 10 minutes at a time and odd music in the background for long periods of the show. Those are the only things I’d fix. Still worth listening

These guys have a well ran show with excellent weekly guests. They are fair and unbiased with their opinions. The personalities of JB, JC and Phil complement one another very well

Long time listener of ITG Pod, back when it was just JC on his own. While I barely have the chance to listen live anymore, I think the current live>pod Chief Network format with JB, JC, Phil and Mike is outstanding.i can select which hours are of interest and go from there. Diversity in sports knowledge and opinions are shared and debated in depth. (It’s ok to disagree, this is America!) Mike is a special talent in media and we are blessed to have him on the show. Very happy we have a true Gamecocks show again. Listened to the Spurs Up show for years until Chris sold out the Gamecock's. Thank you Jamie, JC, Phil and Mike Morgan! This show is perfect for a sales guy that’s in his truck all week. Thank you so much!

JB, JC and Phil kill it. It’s now three hours every day and for four hours a week Mike Morgan who used to have the top show in Columbia jumps in. So you get a lot of content that’s on topic and for the most part Gamecock related even the off topic stuff ranges from hilarious to tear-jerking. These guys have improved the audio issues and I’m not sure what the guy who accused JC of being “political” was talking about in the other reviews because that’s not true. Great guests, great show that only gets better.

…is not uploaded in a consistently enough manor to work it into a normal listening schedule. You may get one between 5 and 6:00 same day or you may not get it for a few days then all of a sudden you get two or three episodes. Really frustrating. This podcast is my favorite and first on my play list but I am not going to go back and listen to episodes that are two days old, or more.

JC does give what I feel is good insight into the program and definitely knows recruiting, however it gets really hard listen to when he goes on rants based in his political views. I want to be clear that I don’t stop listening because I disagree with his viewpoints, rather his insistence on vilifying any opposing view point. I’ll come back and try the podcast again and I’m open to changing my review but right now unfortunately the bad outweighs the good for me.

I really like the show but I can hardly listen to the talking because of the noise from JC’s mic…..distracting from the content…..sooooooo annoying! Great show other than that!

The best Gamecock show out there. They need serious help on the audio. Sounds like bongo drums but overall great show.

Was a fan of Inside the Gamecocks when it was just JC but love the new daily format. One of my favorite parts along with all the inside information and analysis is if you ask them a question, it gets answered, which isn’t always the case with other podcasts.

JC is the best guy to listen on the Gamecocks. It’s amazing he can put out interesting and insightful shows all by himself even with less than ideal results the last few years. Listening to his show has refilled my Gamecock excitement for the future. Keep up the good work! Chris in st pete

JC common man don’t respond to losers on the air literally no one wants to hear that. Be a bigger man and not so butt hurt. I enjoy the show but common that was pathetic

I will start with the good: This is the best Gamecocks podcast, and that’s why I keep listening to it. Also, JC is prolific and puts out new episodes frequently. The bad, though, is this: There isn’t a good Gamecocks podcast available. JC covers the topics fans care about and that’s great if all you want to do is listen. But if you actually want to learn or gain valuable insight into the program, that’s where this podcast falls short. JC’s opinion on just about every aspect of the program is summed up as being the best case scenario. Did we just hire Will Muschamp, a proven failure? No problem, he’s way better now and his Florida tenure is meaningless! Are we starting a journeyman GA at QB? Well, here’s a list of reasons you can ignore his previous failures. Did we sign another 3* recruit? No problem there, every single one of them is a “great evaluation” and JC is of course qualified to tell us that before the prospect has played a single snap. New transfer player? He’s a stud for sure and the program he’s leaving is beside themselves grieving the departure. (And then it’s always shocking to him when those guys don’t pan out.) Was his game score prediction off by 3 touchdowns? Well, if these 4 drives had ended up differently, he would’ve been spot on. JC also tends to let his personal biases creep into his evaluations. When a rival signs a 5* prospect, he says don’t worry, most programs get worse when they sign 5* players. (What?!) He has a personal connection to Byrnes and the Bentley family and it caused a very obvious blind spot in his ability to talk objectively about Jake Bentley. He also clearly has a personal relationship with Shane Beamer because he insists it’s a zero-risk hire that nobody should question. He’s even said that even if Coach Beamer ends up failing, the people who are critical of the hire will still not have been proven right because they are being “irrational.” He’s basically already declared victory for Coach Beamer. Don’t get me wrong, I hope he’s right, but the lesson here is that being JC or agreeing with JC is the only way a fan can be right. Because even when JC gets one wrong, he was actually right and here’s why. Finally, the thing that caused me to write this review: JC has started espousing some serious anti-science and, worse, misogynistic views on the show. In one recent episode he appears to downgrade a reviewer’s opinion because she’s a woman, and he even does “lisp” voice that comes across as more than just a little a homophobic. Hopefully he realizes how inappropriate this is because I know, deep down, JC is better than that.

JC, Fan of the podcast. You’re a good listen and clearly tuned in with the program. I do wish you didn’t feel the need to address negative reviews all the time - it can come off as self serving and needing to stroke your own ego, which I’m sure you aren’t intending to do. Anyways. There’s my constructive criticism. It’s a good podcast and would recommend to any gamecock fan! Be well

Tried to listen for weeks despite the rambling, the lack of content planning (“ummmmm”… what should I talk about next… I’ll try this), and the overt tendency to apologize for multiple aspects of the program (even AFTER Beamer was hired). The last straw was his take that Clemson would soundly beat UGA. I’m done. Don’t waste your time.

Simply put: this is the best podcast not only in the South Carolina market, but in all of sports podcasts in general. JC is one of the best in the business and informs Gamecocks fans about their team, the players, and more. I especially love it when he talks about recruiting the state of South Carolina and the program’s ceiling. He can also turn a bad situation the team is facing and turn it into a positive one. If you’re a South Carolina, SEC, or college football fan, I strongly encourage to listen to some of his episodes as JC will give you a lot more knowledge about the program and college football topics than you ever had before. 👍🏻👍🏻

And from time to time, JC also provides historical accounts to support his viewpoints and to entertain the listeners. I highly recommend this podcast!

Great podcast to listen to on the daily commute or while doing your household chores. Brings a lot of information and keeps it fresh, a must listen for Gamecock fans everywhere!

Tell the whole family about this podcast. Since JC left locked on the gamecocks podcast we stopped listening. Glad I found this pod and he’s back at it! Also great for those long days in the truck driving around ATL. Way better than listening to the UGA mess on the local radio!

JC is as good as it gets for people starving for all things Gamecock related. Even living in SC, there are very few shows who go beyond the surface when discussing the Gamecocks (I’m talking to you 107.5 The Game). JC is connected, informed, insightful and sneaky funny. He has the ability to lead the show entirely by himself. However, his secret weapon is when Red shows up unannounced. Red’s timing is nothing short of perfection. Love Red’s enthusiasm and willingness to bring JC back to earth when needed. Keep doing work JC and Red and continue to be awesome in all things.

This podcast deserves two spurs up as it always covers the best content in an enjoyable and friendly was. JC shoots you straight, but always leaves you with a tinge of optimism (the true Gamecock way). This is the SEC Championship Trophy of podcasts. The one we’ve been waiting for.
