It was very informative (4-5 stars) when alive, regardless of biases and propaganda coming from interviewees. I’d rather hear the adversary’s perspective unfiltered when presented than repeat analysis from other channels.

Coverage on items not generally covered by the MSM. Unfortunately in the last couple of years the reporting has taken on obvious bias with snide digs and commentary regarding the US. SCMP used to be a pretty decent outlet but no longer.

Propaganda from China via Hong Kong

The guests’ views are mostly confined into their own ideology or narrative with limited recognition of the historical context or actual underlining issues. This is either due to a very subpar understanding of the actual issues or done intentionally to spread misinformation with cliche rhetoric. Most views sound very superficial with very limited actual value or insights.

Excellent host and guests and discussions.

This podcast is a hidden gem for those who are American and have a genuine interest in China and things going on outside of the US. I love the non biased, non dramatic delivery. I walk away from this podcast feeling educated and at ease.

I appreciate the consistently strong analysis from perspectives not available in the US media.
