    The beginnings of autobiographies
My favorite books are autobiographies of people in show business , and these interviews are the beginning of those stories. Thank you for sharing how the sausage gets made! It’s my favorite part!

    Great Guests, Terrible Interviewer
The podcast has a great premise with a great guest list, but unfortunately, the interviewer / host is not up to par. When the interviewer speaks more than the person being interviewed, there’s an issue. (It makes listening very unenjoyable.) Take the Patti LuPone episode, for example. If you are lucky enough to have a theatrical legend on your show, you need to let her speak instead of saying what you would “imagine” her answer to be after every question. It was overall a TOUGH listen, especially when the interviewer (who was obviously out of touch with his interviewee) asked about the “‘Evita’ revival” that started the feud between Patti and Glenn Close. Really?! If your facts are that off, it might be time to make some changes in the planning process.

    True Gem
I tripped over this on social media during Alan’s Hadestown takeover, and I am hooked! I started with Reeve Carney, and look forward to listening to all of them. Alan has the emotional intelligence to bring out the best in each guest, skillfully moving them through their storytelling and never stepping on them. Great stories emerge!

    Engaging and authentic!
The Theatre Podcast is my go-to for backstage conversations with Broadway’s best. Alan truly holds space for each guest in the most engaging and delightful way. It’s organic, funny and raw. Love this show.

    He has great guests!
I generally like this podcast but sometimes he can come off as sexist with some of his questions.

    A great listen!
The time just flies by. Alan brings the art of conversation to a whole new level. He seamlessly lets the listener get to know his guests on a personal level in addition to their professional lives.

    New favorite podcast
Recently stumbled upon this podcast somehow during The Prom takeover and have been following them since. Alan is truly a wonderful interviewer. They are also quite interactive with their listeners from my experience. The creativity in their episodes, the quality of the interviews, and their appreciation of their fans are sure ways to have an incredibly successful run with this podcast!

Great conversations with theater movers and shakers!!
Alan is a fantastic host and interviewer, and his passion is evident in every episode. The conversations flow naturally, and we really get an inside look at NYC theater. It’s perfect for both audiences and people who work in the industry. Can’t wait to keep up with this podcast!

    Top-Notch Talent and Production!
Great podcast for theater enthusiasts - new and old! He gets some high-level talent on here, and it’s great getting to know these stars more intimately, as we don’t get a chance these days to know theater artists as well as we do movie stars and musicians. The sound quality is impeccable as well.
