Fun, Joyous and addicting!

Ilana Levine’s “LKF” podcast interviews are as addicting as obsessing over Wordle. As soon as an interview is over, the array of artistic listening inspiration is there in spades with over 300 interviews to choose from. Ilana is a fantastic interviewer and her in-depth conversations are so natural and joyous. She knows every detail of the breadth and scope of her guests illustrious careers and dives deep with humor and admiration from long-standing friendships over decades of association in the Broadway, film and television community. First episode I listened too was Patti, who said its a Calling. BLOW Gabriel BLOW! My spirit totally received that term. Next was Ten Times Perfect with Back to One Steph. Good, Involving Conversations

The host occasionally gushes a little too much for me, but otherwise this podcast has been a real find. It’s a treasure trove of respected theater artists that you always wanted to hear more from, but might not have been famous enough for them to land a spot on a late night talk show. To Ms. Levine’s credit, she REALLY lets the more complex answers spool out, and doesn’t feel the need to jump in and interrupt them. It also helps that she’s in the biz.

Great Podcast

Really love this podcast! Loved the episode with Edie Falco ! I love when Edie said she probably wasn’t supposed to say acting school took away her confidence and Ilana said no someone is listening and thinking that’s me! Well that person IS me! I was very encouraged to hear what Edie said about how learning the intellectual side of acting made things less clear because that’s how I feel too. The more I study the intellectual side of acting the more confusing I find it and it makes me feel like I have no idea what I’m doing anymore. I thought I was the only one, but now I know there is hope for me!

This podcast is so interesting, heart warming, funny & the ultimate for any theatre lover. I listen to just about all the Broadway podcasts & this is my own my very favorites. Ilana asks such considerate and well thought out questions & is such a good friend to the hosts you feel like you’re just hanging out with two incredibly cool theatre people. Can’t recommend enough!

Rather than interviewing, Ilana gets on her soapbox

Ilana interrupts and talks over her guest quiet a bit. Rather than progressing conversations and interviewing her guests, she just adds her own commentary on whatever topic she brings up.

Amazing guests when she lets them speak

Such amazing guests but she hardly lets them get an word in! The constant interruptions and assumptions of what they are going to say next is very frustrating.

The Perfect Podcast

I have listened to every episode and have gotten the privilege of meeting Ilana herself a few times. She is truly as magnificent in person as she is on this podcast. Her authenticity and sense of humor in every episode makes my commute so much more pleasurable! I wish all interviewers were as insightful and open as Ilana was! For all fans of the entertainment industry, or if you just want to feel less alone, I highly recommend listening to this podcast!

Cozy conversations!

Ilana has this fantastic ability to make every conversation on her show seem like it’s happening between two friends sipping hot chocolate in front of a fireplace. All her interviews are uniquely personable, and make me feel like I’m sitting there with them. If you’re looking for inspiration and that conversation you always wish you could have with your favorite artists about how they got to where they are, both their greatest heights and most challenging lows, this is it!!

I wish I could!

I stopped listening for a while, tried another episode recently and just couldn’t. The guest lineup is always fascinating people, but this host hardly lets them get a word in. She’s constantly talking over them, adding her stories. She’s seemingly self indulgent and insincere. Sometimes the mic levels are off. She uses the word extrawwwwdinary at least once a episode, making each time less extrawwwdinary. I’m sure she’s lovely and I know she’s accomplished., but I simply can’t listen anymore.

This podcast is truly my favorite, Ilana is so inspiring and the conversations she has with her guests are all so intriguing and insightful. I feel like I'm getting to know both her and her guest so authentically and honestly each episode! I love broadway, tv & film and I get to hear my favorite actors talk about their journeys in depth with Ilana and it is extraordinary.

I FINALLY started getting into podcasts again and I love Broadway. I've tried TONS of podcasts and this is one of my favorites. The interviews are very well done and I'm enjoying them all. It'll take me a LONG time to listen to all of them, but I started with the most recent and I'm working my way back to as close to the beginning as iTunes will let me get.

I adore this podcast. It is deep, warm-hearted, truthful and just listening to a conversation is so simple yet so informative. Being an aspiring young actor can be so scary. Listening to this podcast helped me to realize that everyone starts somewhere, everyone’s story is unique and that kindness counts in this business. This podcast brings me so much insight and I don’t know what I would’ve done without it the past year! There are so many stories of what seems like a failure but what is only just a step closer to what your true destiny will be.

What a excellent podcast. This is now one of my favorite podcasts. The first one I listened to was when she interviewed George Salazar. I love him so much and I liked how she started from the beginning of his life and worked up until the present. Definitely 5 Stars.
