    So helpful
Rhoda interviews the best experts to enlighten us on how to have better relationships. I learn a lot from every episode. What I like the most is the way she asks specific questions to enable the guest to talk about what’s going to be most helpful for the listener. Great stuff!

Great Content, but Rhoda speaks in a tone that sounds like shouting
I find it difficult to absorb some of the information that Rhoda so graciously shares due to her tone, volume, and over emphasis. The ideas are very helpful to me, so I keep listening to episodes. I also think that it often sounds like Rhoda is reading directly from a script more often than not. I think this also contributes to how aggressive the podcast feels. It feels like I’m being lectured or yelled at for trying to learn new things and become a better person.

    I like the words but
There is a awful noise in the background/ she talks like she doesn’t end sentences.

    Amazing for Growth
I love this podcast and how open minded I feel after listening. I have recommended this show to many of my friends in hopes they get the same depth from it I do. Just randomly picking one and having it speak to me on a deep level is the self awareness awakening I needed. The universe guided me to this podcast and I am ever so thankful!

    Basically free couples therapy!
I absolutely love this podcast. I started listening to it, not expecting to love it so much I would make my partner sit down and listen to it with me. We listen to at least one episode weekly, and we always do the challenge Rhoda provides. Miss Rhoda is doing God’s work fr🙏

    Political rants
The show itself is a mix of political rants and occasional relationship advice.

    Life changing
Just found this podcast a few days ago and I was given some life changing perspective that I would have never thought of myself. This podcast really opens up the vault on the reasons we have disagreements in relationships and how to counteract it. Me and my husband have been married for 6 year, thing were not terrible between us but we could use some pointers on staying healthy. Respect is so important in relationship and she explains why it is so crucial to never lose it.❤️

Wonder confirmation of my asks from my spouse
My mother Inlaw see it her right to abuse me verbally every time she does not things from her son. Her family says accept her that way she is elderly. Her son says he would rather divorce than to relocate her. Never stop her in her tirades that could be from 1-4 hours of verbal abuse. He is definitely a man baby. Am not is priority. He is still with his mom and family. And when I finally snapped after 3.5 years. I am the bad wife!😢

Anxious Attachment / Avoidant Relationship Styles
I listened to the podcast What Healthy Couples Know that you don’t. Episode #88: The interview with Tracy Crossley about Anxious Attachment and Avoidant relationship styles. Tracy explained how the chemistry between an avoidant and anxious attacker is so attractive. It starts off feeling so good… then boom! The avoidant starts to pull away and the anxious partner clings in desperation to the avoidant which of course drives the avoidant to run away, the merry-go-round, yo-yo relationship repeats the patterns of our parents. I experienced this in my relationships in my 20’s all the way into my mid 40’s until I started to get that the chemistry I felt was actually a toxic habit to the avoidant. In the podcast with Tracy today I saw how you can be in healthy relationship. I highly recommend listening to this episode. I am sharing it with my Sister who is attracted to Avoidant partners.

    Very interesting
I just started listening today. My relationship has been on the rocks for a few years now and we are in that 6-10 mark and it’s been very rocky. Thank you so much! I would like to hear one about being a burnt out or feeling so distant from each other and what to do. We are about at at loss to each other. But after listening today I’m seeing things differently.

    Great
Loved the content. The nail filing in episode 81 is distracting and makes your teeth hurt lol looking forward to the book for kids.

    Thank you Rhoda
I’m inspired to grow and be a better person to the one I love.

    Cadence is weird & distracting
She has some good info, but her cadence is so distracting, it’s hard to listen to what she’s saying. Listen back to an episode. Maybe you just need to better familiarize yourself with what you’re reading (to make it flow better). I don’t doubt your knowledge. You’re just struggling to to convey it. It’s like you’re just reading words & not paying attention to where emphasis or commas should be. I truly mean to give constructive criticism, not insult you.

    Good content
The episodes I’ve listened to have closely matched my needs and reinforced what I need to do to continue growing who I am. In one episode, Rhoda(?) commented on the quality of her voice. Her intonation often sounds like she’s reading from a script or notes. There’s a certain speaking style many of us have become accustomed to and this might not be it. Because there was a comment on the same episode about improving speech quality, I’ll mention that there’s always the option of voice coaching, speech therapy, and evaluating self-recordings as a means of improving speech quality. Tips for giving TED talks is readily available as well. The information is what I need and hopefully others can find what they need too.

So much great advice for yourself and your relationships!
They say that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. Rhoda is the ultimate advisor to help people figure out who they really are and what they really want out of life and relationships. I have so much work to do and some of it will be painful, but I truly believe that Rhoda can help me become who I was meant to be.

Very straight, but very good information
This podcast is short, informative, and not sugarcoated. I appreciate the information provided as well as the challenges to the listener. I find it extremely heteronormative, sometimes to the point that it conforms to stereotypes of male and female and reduces them to hetero-typical caricatures. But, even so, the advice given is overall very useful and important.
  • Faith4Truth
    Good stuff but the voice
The voice is like nails on a chalkboard but it’s good stuff
  • klor123
    Content is good
The content is really good, and I like that the episodes are straight to the point and don’t run too long. Unfortunately, I personally find her voice irritating which kind of affects my listening experience, but that’s just me.

    Regular Listener Here!
She has fabulous guests! I wish they could talk longer. The host has great insight, as well. I wish she had the show better produced because the sound isn’t fabulous.

    Love this podcast
I have worked with transitioning veterans in higher education for 15 years and am a veteran myself. After going through a divorce and seeing all the problems my students were facing with relationships I began really researching this topic. Rhoda's advice is priceless and my wife and I refer to it all the time. I have finally built a couples enrichment course and often refer clients to this podcast. Take a listen you will get a lot out of it.

Honest and Conversational with Tangible Anecdotes
Rhoda delivers an honest and down-to-Earth perspective in a funny and conversational tone. I especially love it when she does "show, not tell" with pop culture references and when she backs up observations with tangible anecdotes. I would love it if she spoke to guests so we can hear more of her conversational tone.
  • JimEnright
    To the point and insightful.
Rhoda's observations and questions are excellent. "Have you ever underminded your partner in front of others?" She also refers to movies in some episodes that have relationship lessons. Recommend.
  • GoodGood Soul
    Love it!
I really love the fact that Rhoda speaks to us as intelligent listeners. I wish that the podcast was longer, tho. I would like to hear more examples of the subject of the day. I know deep inside that everything she talks about is so imperative to a happy relationship and I am following closely in order to get my relationship right this time!

    Straight and to the point
I have listened to other podcasts that discuss relationships and a lot of time has elapsed before they get to the point or not. Rhoda gets right to the point in 8 minutes or less and she gives you homework that you can share with your partner that helps you open up a dialogue with them.
