    Such a transformative podcast!
I’ve been a fan of Tristan’s for many years and even have a signed copies of several of her books! I don’t know why I only now discovered her podcast. The recent episode with Stacie Ysidro was just what I needed to hear. Her discourse concerning the various sexual blueprints helped me realize more about my own blueprint (and shadow self!). Thank you again!

    I really tried
I really tried to like this show. It ticked off all my interests- sexuality, social justice, inclusion, etc. It was recommended on a few of my favorite podcasts. I just found the host condescending and sanctimonious. Clearly as a Cis, white, heteronormative, Christian male I’m not the intended audience. But I really felt demonized after listening to a few dozen episodes. We aren’t the enemy. Oh well I still glad I gave it a try

The New Yorker of sex podcasts
Very smart host with very knowledgeable guests. This podcast epitomizes everything good about the genre. Tristan’s enthusiasm, and the passion with which she promotes her work (and that of her guests) is inspiring. I never fail to learn something.

    LOVE TRISTAN AND THIS SHOW!
If you’re looking to learn about sex, gender, and politics, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! Tristan is so well-spoken and educated in these areas that I could listen to her speak for days. She invites on fascinating guests and traverses vulnerable territories with them. Tristan, thank you for everything you do and giving voice to those who deserve to be heard. Two thumbs way up 👍👍!

    One of the greats
Truly one of the best podcasts of all time. I have learned so much and felt so reassured and at home with myself because of the work of Tristan and her crew. The recent episode with Tina Horn (of Why are people into that?! Which is also excellent) about intimacy in the time of covid is especially great.

    Thank you Tristan!
Tristan Taormino has been making smart, engaging, informative, and sexy stuff for decades. What a treat to be able to hear her and her guests for free, anytime I want, as long as I have my phone with me. No more need be said about this icon of sex positivity; just listen.

Interesting and varied. Too many ads.
Enjoy the show. Way too many commercials for a podcast. A solid quarter of each episode is same ads over and over.

Tristan is my sex-ed guru goddess
I've been listening to Sex Out Loud since the very beginning and it only gets better with each episode. Tristan's passion for the subject and her dedication to diversity in all its forms is inspiring. I've heard the most interesting guests on her show and learned so much. Every book that's ever mentioned gets added to the list for my own personal sex ed library. Thanks for all that you do, Tristan! <3

    The Gold Standard
As far as we're concerned, Sex Out Loud is the gold standard of sex-positive podcasting, and we listen religiously (often in-store - customers dig it, too). Ms. Taormino has a rare, awesome combination of sharp insight, kind wit and a mellifluous voice that makes every moment of the 'cast a joy. There's virtually no one I wouldn't recommend Sex Out Loud to - heartily. Listen!! You'll be glad you did :) - Katz Boutique in the Galleria (HOU)

    Life changing
I received my doctorate in Clinical Sexology a year ago. I have not done much work in the field since then and was looking for directions on how to get started in the field. Tristan's podcast has changed my life. It is extremely educational and covers a wide array of subjects. More impressive is that she brings in the experts so I always feel like I'm in a classroom learning from the best professors. I absolutely love her show!
  • W Bezzy
    Absolutely love the show.
I learned a lot listening to this show. It's like the Oprah of sex positive podcast. I had no idea there was so much to learn about this part of life. A well thought out show. And Tristan you rock.

    Tristan is great
Tristan printed my now-wife's story in one of her short story collections years ago. But I listen to Sex Out Loud for more than professional obligation. Tristan and her guests are smart, unafraid, and say what needs to be said.

    Best Sex Podcast!
Hands down the best sex related podcast on iTunes. I tried listening to many others but found them to be boring, repetitive, or silly and sophomoric. I finally found Tristan's perfectly balanced show. Intellectually informative as well as sexy and stimulating. The show has the largest scope of topics and best variety of quality guests you'll find. The audio is also very well produced and easy to listen to in the car. Very well done in all aspects.

    I love this podcast!
I am so grateful for this podcast! Tristan Taormino's podcast is a wonderful place to learn about sexual health and exploration, sexuality and gender, and so much more. I especially love that she speaks to so many people from different backgrounds such as other sex workers, authors, teachers, etc. that tackle a slue of topics in a sex positive, body positive, and above all SAFE way.

    Wow!
Sex out loud is an amazing, informative, witty, fun podcast! If you are looking for information about all things sex, this is the podcast for you! Tristan does her homework on all of the guests that are on her show, the show is a great resource for those living in a sex positive way. This show covers all spectrums of sex and relationships. Also for parents, there are several good tips for you about how to speak with your kids about sex in more than one episode! Great podcast!

    Listen and Learn
Sex Out Loud with Tristan Taormino is one of my go-to sources for information and education on all things sexual. It helps if you're open to sexual expressions beyond the two-person hetero norm. Regardless of your previous attitudes and experiences this pocast will offer a glimpse and possible gateway into a more enlightened and varied way of experiencing sexual pleasure. I also recommend Ms. Taormino's other reference materials - her books, videos, and web sites.

    Fun Show!
Tristan is great! The sound is a little shaky, but I enjoy her point view on issues in the adult film industry, and sex in general.

    Great Interviewer
Aside from Tristan's other qualifications, she conducts the most awesome interviews with very interesting people. I absolutely love this podcast.

    Great show
Intelligent, respectful conversation about the diverse world of sex and intimacy. Tristan always has excellent guests. I never get to hear it live, but I'll catch it a few days later. Great stuff!

    Interesting topics and guests
This show is informative and interesting to listen to with a wide variety of guests and topics. However the ad breaks really get to me and I wish they would change it. They are so robotic and cheesy, even the ones that Tristan reads herself sound so flat and scripted. Other podcasters have found their own way to include ads but put their own personal spin on it so that they are actually enjoyable to listen to and even entertaining. This makes the ads more effective and improve the overall experience of listening to the podcast. Honestly, I don't even listen to the ads anymore and skip to jump past them which in itself is disruptive and frustrating as I often listen to it while doing other things. With all that said I do still love the podcast and recommend it to others as Tristan's charm overcomes a world of awful advertising and abrasive announcements.

Fantastic Information, fun & exciting listen
I have loved Tristan Taormino's brand of sex education since HBOs Real Sex many moons ago. I have read her books, listened to the audio versions and had the distinct pleasure of being a student in her first Sex Educator workshop at CatalystCon East, so sure Im biased. However I have done the same with many many other sex educators (sans the workshop part) and there really isn't anything else like Tristan Taormino's mind. She is quick witted, full of information, and you can tell is enjoying talking to her guests so you feel comfortable listening. And her guests... well they are the tops in their fields, wonderful speakers themselves, and so believe me this podcast is worth the listen.

    Great Show.
Happy Season Two is off to a good start.

Sound and production quality detract from fine programming
This is a fascinating, informative podcast that misses the mark thanks to distracting and annoying production values. Beginning with the looong, cheesy disclaimer from VoiceAmerica and followed by the crappy music that accompanies the advertising and breaks, the show loses its appeal despite the great content. And finally, with all praise and respect for la Taormina, a few sessions with a voice coach or maybe an intervention from a smart sound technician would go far to smooth out her voice. Otherwise, a fine, informative show that talks about sex in a healthy, positive way. I'm glad I found it.

    Great first episode!
Dan was an excellent choice as a first interview and the next two look to be just as engaging. I hope these set a strong president but I'm looking forward to the evolution of this next project. At some point Tristan will have to come out as the first & best example of the future of both physical and mental cloning. I know from my experience interacting with the results of some of her previous endeavors that I will never have to downgrade my five star rating. Always a top notch product irregardless of the medium!

Great idea, but the feed is broken
Dan and Tristan == hooray! Not being able to listen to them because it doesn't work here or on the website == boooo!
