    Still…
In the book about fatherhood and the story involving the mother who’s a surgeon. It was just as puzzling to the listener when I told this in the early 2000s- and I told it to a female physician.

    A Narrow Reading of Psychoanalysis
I’ve enjoyed a number of these interviews over the years, though I find the perspective too narrowly post-modern. I would love to see more diversity and less ideological predictability. Also: Marxism?! Are we seriously still thinking that there is anything redeeming about it? Freud was (naively) critical of religion - and the fact that we still have psychoanalysts who think anything remotely positive about Marxism would be incredibly fascinating (if it weren’t terrifying).

    Terrible Audio Quality
I find the discussions interesting and I would love to enjoy the podcast more, but the audio makes listening really difficult.

    Hatred of sex discussion
I found this discussion very well guided by the excellent moderator M. Pieknik and very well explained by the articulate authors of this complex book. this is not a polemic but a very well reasoned discussion of the fearfulness that attaches to sex. thank you for introducing me to these authors and I hope we will hear more interviews conducted by Dr. Pieknik.

    Stop using the term “borderline”
With women and queer people more likely to receive the label “borderline” it’s a tool of misogynist and homophobic hate. It disenfranchises people from both mental and health care. As Marsha Linehan notes, “it’s a weird word.” Please get with the 21st Century and use Emotional dysregulation disorder.

    Book peddlers
Boring interviews with book peddlers—worse because by smoke & mirror academics. And see all reviews only shows 5 stars.

I love this podcast. I learn so much from every interview. I have been listening regularly for over a year, and today, I cried for the first time during an episode. Dr. Pinsky’s reading of her epilogue was raw, eloquent and deeply moving. I can’t wait to read her essays. Thank you to Tracy Morgan & all of the hosts for your thoughtful questions and understanding of the material that you bring to life in these interviews.

    Consistently High Quality Content
The interviewers on this show ask thoughtful questions that show they have actually engaged the material. The caliber of authors on the show is quite high. I listen religiously.

Subject matter is great, but that's about it
This is one of very few podcasts that provides a discussion on psychoanalysis but it leaves much to be desired. The audio quality is terrible. Listening to the recordings is difficult but bearable if you're interested in the subject. The host is overbearing and takes valuable time to talk about themselves and their understanding of the author's work. I hope the production of this project improves.

    Keep this podcast going please
I came across this podcast just randomly searching for some intelligent podcast. This podcast is thought provoking especially podcast #3 Analysis in the inner city-class, race, etc. Even if you don't agree with everything it'll broaden your understanding and maybe help you even improve your life.

    Please more....
This is an incredibly interesting and informative podcast. The interviewer is clearly well prepared for her interviews and her own personal experience in psychoanalysis adds enormous depth to the programme. There are so many more new books out there...Frank Lachmann, Joe Lichtenberg, Nancy Chodorow..please can we have some more!

    This podcast is great!
For psychoanalysts, patients and the rest of the public - - this podcast is a real find. Ms. Morgan, a practicing analyst herself, conducts skilled and engaging interviews on contemporary topics in psychoanalysis. She makes the material very accessible and real (not a ton of jargon or "inside" humor). What is so special is to the have the opportunity to listen to the most contemporary practitioners and writers discuss their work in conversational tone. Very enlightening - a fabulous resource.

    Psychoanalysis is alive and well!
I have listened to the first three episodes- and they just keep getting better. I like the open and honest interview style of Ms. Morgan and the way she puts the author (and listener!) at ease with what could otherwise be technical jargon (psychobabble). The episodes so far also help show how psychoanalysis can really make a contribution to the world we all live in. Thanks and I look forward to hearing more.

    Finally, a podcast about psychoanalysis!
I'm so excited to finally find a podcast devoted to psychoanalysis. While there are some great psychology podcasts out there that sometimes address this topic (e.g. Shrinkrap Radio), I've yet to find one devoted completely to this fertile area. It's a shame when there are so many recordings of presentations and discussion available online as recordings. Distributing such material via podcast could potentially introduce modern psychoanalytic thinking to a much broader audience. Thank your, Ms. Morgan and NBN, for breaking new ground for psychoanalysis in the world of podcasting.
