Mac an tSionnaighA selection of mostly drivel as in Sunil Patel. More Miss Than Hit apart from Frank SkinnerPurile moronic drivel. What ever happened to the great R4 comedy of yore?
-
ThurasheI liked it!It’s hard to find good sketch comedy podcasts. This is one. I’d like to listen to these guys regularly.

The Shadow NoseHit and miss, sometimes hilariousRecently Nora Roberts was great with droll snippets. The four previous episodes were mostly lacking. There is 60 seconds of commercials to skip at start and more at end. I recommend giving each episode 1-2 minutes and quitting if not yet zinging. None seem to progressively improve.

Le Pew el PepéGreat showThank you very much for giving me a laugh every week. 😅😂🤣🤪

KatledoodleQuite EnjoyableThe Skewer is quite a well done political show. Reminds me of Vicki Bennett’s People Like Us work.
-
tybrinskiLaughter is annoying in it.I wish I liked it but the laughter was really annoying in the background. Take that out, it would be better.
-
tkyboyHopelessThis show is pathetic not one laugh in it they should be taken to the trade description department for using comedy in the title

darngoodtenorGetting tired of thisVery hit and miss podcast. Honestly I sometimes wonder why they bother. For quite some time I have been download, listening briefly and deleting. In the most recent Rich Hall episode I sat through several minutes of “Biden is as bad as Trump” crap and then stopped it. If you aren’t intelligent enough to tell the difference between the two then you aren’t smart enough to do good comedy. Should I lighten up? I try to in most circumstances. Unfortunately there seems to be nothing they can say about Biden except that he’s old. If the only thing you can go for as a comedian is low hanging fruit then resign yourself to mediocrity and find another line of work. I WANT to laugh but that may have to wait until you say something actually funny or my life is no longer hanging in the balance.

corgilover1965324SlowLots of commercials and really slow to get going.

boomdigglesIt’s a creeper. It starts out slowly but...Next thing you know you like it.

Ponterbee's2ndPhoneWonderful Funny PodcastQuite a few of these episodes would make brilliant podcasts in their own right - most recently Michael Spicer’s “Before Next Door” - and the off-chance audio sketch comedies are a particular treat (e.g. Rich Hall’s U.S. Breakdown, Alexei Sayle’s Imaginary Sandwich Bar, and last years John Finnemore special) This is one of the program’s that makes my Sunday night a real treat. (👏!!)

Maxcraft430Just listened to your showAnd I like it. I also think you guys need to check out the American Comedy Podcast “Community News” with Paul and Sasha. It’s definitely new comedy every week. And I would love to hear your review of it. Great reviews of comedy.

Domic57HILARIOUS material from all over the world.Voices I’d not heard and points of view I’d not considered, all rendered histerically.

Liberal Austin HawkWide varietyIf an episode or two are terrible, that’s just par for the course. Try another before abandoning.

taptwodogsIntrosHate the 30 or 60 second intros that try to tempt listeners to download other podcasts.

89concernedcitizen89I love this, but please stop Fringe coverage!Comedy of the Week is great, but the Fringe festival coverage episodes are so boring. If Fringe sponsors the podcast, I understand they have to do something, but it isn't really comedy of the week, then is it? It's just comedy news. Fringe, if you're listening, don't make us sit through these filler episodes. I love the real content, and I love the format otherwise. You can totally skip the "funny from the fringe" episodes, though. You'll fall asleep otherwise.

sarashubhadaA breakA funny break from my life. Pretty solid.

drydenfanEven funny in AmericaIf you like British humor (or humour) you will love the variety on this podcast. Great for getting you to try more podcasts from the weekly guests.
-
OneChicGeekI used to love this...This was quite good. I really enjoyed listening to some of the comedians presented on here. However, I feel like this has really gone downhill in the last few months. The current host, Sindhu Vee, comes off as trying very hard to be relatable - but misses the mark. There are long interviews with the comedians that are only moderately interesting. And while some of the shows can be quite funny, I find myself looking at descriptions and choosing to delete the podcast without listening more and more.

CharlesVashonOne of the best!I look forward to this podcast every week. The variety of shows and performers keeps it entertaining and fun! Well done BBC!

Roger KnightLemn Sissay's Origin Stories Oct 2016This episode by Lemn Sissay was the worst program I have heard in the five years I have subscribed to the Comedy of the Week podcast. It was completely self indulgent and not at all funny. Lemn blames all of his problems on being a foster child with poor foster parents. Lemn declares that his success as a comic (not in evidence in this program) is due to his extraordinary talents and perserverance. And Lemn compares himself favorably to Harry Potter. BBC must have been desperate for content this week.

windsor 707Usually funnyThere are only few episodes a year that don't wuite find my funny bone. Most the time though it helps me get through the morning drive.

OkieLaneUp there with The DollopBut a little more complicated but in a good way
-
ScottWatersGreat show, but what’s with the titles?Someone needs to pay more attention to entering the show titles...
-
Pollyglot9Worth checking outGiven the nature of the podcast, it can be a bit of a mixed bag, but in a couple of months of listening I've heard several programs that I just loved. The quiz shows and talk shows with celebrities weren't my favorites, but the radio plays and a couple of the stand-up/monologue performances were brilliant.
-
TofaifseGoodI couldn't get the sense of humor in the beginning but it was great near the end. I really loved the last song!

hbkidd1022MORE MORE MOREThis was great, waiting for the next episode. Hope they make it a stand alone podcast.
-
jillfarringdonMore Hit than MissSometimes thevery best fast pased whit and extremely entertaining, like Just A Minute. Reasonable but poor annual review of Edinbrough Fringe (too much cool aid, emporors new clothes for the brits). And then occasionally dull and whitless, like Chain Reaction interview show. But Just A Minute makes it all worth while. The News Quiz is excelent also, sometimes moved from the far supirour Friday Night Comedy podcast.
