I was going away here at first never heard the Bible in NSV and hits different. I’m always going to NIV or King James cause it hits differently. I’m not expressing his has been amazing. Just listening to it and being connected and got on different level. Only part of makes me grow my gears from January July I mean, why can’t you just go away? I want I mean.But it is beautiful.

I’ve tried reading the Bible in a year plans previously and I always failed. I’m still carving out my alone time doing it this way, but listening is so much easier to digest. I’m hearing scriptures that I’ve heard before but I’m able to obtain new revelations and I love it!

Wonderful reading; good pace. One thing that bugs me - the pronunciation of Ask & Asked like Ax, Axed (such a small thing, but huge annoyance factor).

Having a portion of the Old Testament, the Psalms, and the New Testament read each day has helped me understand that the whole Bible is connected together. Love listening to these. I do wish more than 30 days were available for listening.

I have thoroughly enjoyed listening through the Bible- for the first time all the way through, with JHP. For those who are behind or would like to re-listen to earlier episodes- you have to download the ESV app and then subscribe for $3.99/month. This podcast is only a temporary service- I’m grateful to have it available.

Fell behind, then couldn’t catch up because they only have last 30 days available. Would’ve been nice to know they were going to delete old episodes when I started this plan.

Is there a reason it only has the last 30 days backed up?

I am confused as to why it is broken up like it is instead of chronologically. It’s different sections of different books per podcast. It’s just odd. Maybe there is a reason for this. Please explain 😭. But I love God, the Bible and Jackie so the concept is there.

I have never read through the Bible and this has been a great resource to do so. I mostly listen on my commute to work and it has been refreshing to connect the dots in the genealogy of the house of Israel from the Old Testament! Just as many other reviewers stated the non availability of older episode, I also echo that older episodes please be made available for people who may have just discovered this podcast. Thank you!

Hello, I absolutely love the speaker my issue is not with her. My issues pertains to the platform deleting older content. Is there away the users(We) can go back to January 1st? What is the reason the older recordings are deleted ?

Love these!! For some reason all episodes further than 4 weeks back have disappeared. I am not up to date so was hoping to listen to some of the past ones and even tried to share with a friend so she could start from the beginning. How can we hear the older ones?

I was listening to the posts starting from 01 Jan 2024 for 2 days. I come back for more to pick up where I left off and now 16 days worth are not appearing on under Episodes. I haven’t listened to all the earlier ones yet. Does anyone know where I can find them or if they are removed after having a certain amount up??? Thank you, God bless all.

I just gave birth 2 months ago , and now I am a mom of 3 , 2 of which is under the age of 2 . This is such a helpful way to meditate on his word , when I am not able to grab my tangible Bible . I can pop in my headphones while I’m feeding my baby and can hear the word of God read by one of the most influential teachers of our time !!! So awesome !

I love listening to the reading of the Bible. I don’t know how many times I’ve tried to read it on my own but I always get greatly discouraged because most of it is hard to understand. I found out it’s different versions of it and maybe I was reading a version unfamiliar to me. I listen to it as much as I can. I want to be well versed in all scriptures and know all the stories. Thank you!

For me as a auditory learner, the audio of JHP sticks. It’s easy to follow along with. I have listened daily. For those wanting commentary or devotional, there truly is no lack of other people’s thoughts and interpretations in the world (choose wisely). Or better yet, ask God for insight/clarity/revelation to what you’re reading or listening to. Commentary was never the purpose for this (if you follow JHP on social media, you would know). So, sit back and delight in the Word of God with this audio. :)

I’ve done several yearly bible readings and this one is my favorite so far! I love how it’s broken up with a reading from both the Old and New Testament and a Psalm. I usually become distracted or bored in yearly bible readings but this one keeps my attention. I’m excited to listen every day!

So glad this podcast is finally here! Now there’s no excuse for me to not be in the word daily. Jackie’s voice is absolutely perfect for this. What a gift she is to the kingdom of God.

Daily devotion has always been difficult for me. Having one episode for everyday is so helpful with me starting off my day in the right way. Furthermore it’s difficult to separate white evangelicalism from my faith since I was raised in the US. Having a Black woman narrate it does something to illuminate the word to me. To God be the glory.

I’m a 17 year senior in highschool and listening to your podcast soothes my mind. Hearing the word of the lord makes me think differently about things in reality and if it’s gods Will I hope you live to do this podcast till you reunite with the Lord Jesus Christ. Besides that I like the podcast it’s cool💯😎

When Jackie began recording back when she was pregnant with August, I was looking forward to the day that it would be released. This podcast has been a great addition to reading the Bible in a year. I have enjoyed that I can listen on the go and have it be apart of my routine.

I’ve been following The Perry’s for a few years now. Was eagerly awaiting for this to be released. Jackie’s voice over for the Bible is clear, soothing and you can hear emotion in her voice in parts. Looking forward to spending the year reading the Bible with Jackie. If you haven’t read any of her books, you definitely should read them! Very insightful wisdom for any Christian reader!

Her voice is very soothing. But I wouldve liked if Jackie was able to expand on each scripture and express the takeaways needed. Dont know if eventually she does that but as someone who has never read the bible from beginning to end this is not very beginner friendly.
