8yrsinUSBEST podcast for meMy youtube algorithm introduces this podcast. As a person born and raised in korea but now living in us, this is the very best podcast. I listened few episodes. The topics are very relevant to my experience, and i was amazed by ep 83. This is real and authentic. I looooooove that i still have about 90 episodes to listen. Thank you a lot for making amazing podcast!

KMomSFExcellent showThis podcast is so well done! Truly a gift to Korean Americans who may wish to visit, study in or work in Korea. Please continue with this excellent labor of love.

JenngilbGreat show!As an American living in Korea, I learn so much from the two of you and love the show! I thoroughly enjoyed your recent episode about Korean dramas as someone who developed a love for K drama while living in Taiwan. I laughed out loud when you brought up the topic of how horrible foreign (or American) actors are when they appear in Korean shows. The first drama that I watched was The Heirs- and am surprised I made it past the horrid American actor in the first couple of episodes. Check it out if you want to see an example of someone who would never be an actor in the States.

ineemeenyA really great podcast! As a Korean American still exploring my identity and learning more about modern Korean culture through K-dramas like many of us, it’s really very fascinating to hear Daniel and Jun discovering the whys behind some of the unconscious ways they use language and engage in cultural practices. The conversation flows so naturally between these two which makes it an easy listen while still helping us to always learn something new. Thanks Daniel and Jun!

ChoilandFascinating for anyone, not just Koreans, Korean-Americans, or Korea-loving AmericansThis podcast helps me (Korean-American) better understand my parents (came to the US in the 1960s, moved back to Korea in 2002) and my in-laws (moved to the US in the 1970s and continue to live here as if it’s 1970s Korea…!) But I think the way Dan and Jun talk about cultural phenomena, trends, and ever-changing language can be interesting to *anyone* who enjoys thinking about how humans interact with their culture and with each other. Each episode is a gem!

Leah8675309Really goodWhat I like about this podcast is that the two hosts are very genuine. They do their best to give a realistic assessment of Korean vs American culture and it is very accurate. I also like how they don’t diminish one culture over the other but instead they try to explain the background behind why one culture may be different. Also, I like listening to the easy rapport and humor between the two hosts. Thank you for making a great podcast!
