Insightful with practical tools for anxiety
I stumbled upon Amanda's podcast when I was looking for help with managing anxiety and it has been life changing. This podcast is a must listen to for anyone dealing with anxiety or depression. The episodes provide information about nervous system regulation in easy to understand conversations plus real life tools to use in everyday life. I recommend her podcast to everyone, as we can all benefit from learning to regulate ourselves. I love her book as well. It's well written and the art work is beautiful.

    Life-changing
My therapist recommended this podcast and said it was life-changing for her. I have been pouring over the episodes and can’t get enough. There is so much knowledge here without any sense of judgement. So much permission and grace is given to show up as a broken human that wants better things for themselves. I also love that she is a fellow vagus nerve nerd, like myself, and a parent to a young child. Amanda’s insights are so spot-on. I am still in the building awareness stage of mapping my nervous system but I can already confirm that this is life-changing. I have shared it with all my family and friends. I hope you give it a listen🫶🏼

    Truly Life Changing
I have started so many podcasts that just didn’t really speak to me. I really recommend starting at the very beginning for this one. I have learned valuable, tangible, and extremely encouraging information and strategies. I love taking notes to look back on. I am just grateful. So grateful this podcast exists. It’s a must try.

    Parts Work
I am a retired physician with a lifelong history of anxiety, depression and OCD. I really like this Podcast. I find the analysis and advice very helpful. The latest episode on Internal Family Systems was timely. My wife and I just saw “Inside Out 2.” It’s a Disney animated movie. The content is useful for people of all ages who suffer from mental health challenges. It’s a very good demonstration of working with our “Parts.” Ken Spokane, WA

I finally have hope for healing
I have a tremendous amount of childhood and adult trauma. I am currently a full time care taker to an adult special needs child as well as a younger child with some needs. Daily life is heavy. I’ve been dysregulated for years and new that but I didn’t know how to heal it. I briefly did talk therapy which left me frustrated and dysregulated. I have been reading self help books for years in attempt to heal. Again, it helped me know why but not know what to do. I found Amanda’s podcast a few months ago and I am so grateful I did. I am now dealing with another life trauma in my marriage and I’m really digging into Amanda’s tools to heal. It’s helping soooo much in just the little bit I have learned and done. My husband is learning right alongside me. I am also able to help my kids in what I am learning about my nervous system and helping them create their own toolbox. Forever grateful. Thank you for hope and healing for our family.

    Amanda gets me 😊
I listened to Amanda’s episode about always being in a rush about two hours ago. Her material was very well outlined. More importantly (from my perspective) - Amanda comes across as warm, kind, caring, and empathetic. Thank goodness for the ability to catch, challenge, and correct 😊 Looking forward to listening to more of this podcast.

    Giving me some hope..
Relatively new to this podcast but loving it so far. I’ve been living with anxiety my whole life and this is the first time I’m hearing a different approach to the issue. This is giving me some hope that I can maybe finally end this horrible cycle of anxiety and depression.

Love the podcast but so quiet
Love this podcast such good info however can barely hear her as she’s soft spoken but also the volume is just so quiet. Hard to hear
  • MrsAngela
Super useful info, vocal tics omg
Interesting and helpful. However…the half-laugh that gets included in every other sentence. Combine that with sentences ending with “right?” and it’s hard to listen to.

    Great Podcast!
I am grateful for the way Amanda explains and puts into practical form the ways we can understand and learn to regulate our nervous systems free from judgment and self blame. Such important and clear information for every human!

    Easy to understand
When I found Amanda’s podcast and started listening to one episode, I immediately became hooked. The information she provides in such a gentle & confident manner helped me to really put my mental health into perspective. I absolutely love that she provides resources with her podcasts (some which I have used in my therapy sessions) because it helps for the information to stick which is one thing she emphasizes quite a few times- to make sure you are DOING the work. Oh, and shes not someone that’s unreachable. I’ve had short and simple conversations with her though other platforms such as Instagram which is soooo nice! Give it a listen, you can’t go wrong!

Shouting this pod from the rooftops
As both a therapist and a human with my own stressful lived experiences, I’ve found this podcast to be incredibly helpful in educating myself and my clients about the nervous system and practical strategies to find relief and ease in body and mind. Amanda presents this crucial information in validating, affirming, practical, and science-based based that has myself and my clients feeling more capable of managing our symptoms of anxiety and depression. I wish everyone would listen to this pod, from start to finish.

After years of suffering with anxiety, I had my “ah ha” moment when Amanda discusses really understanding your nervous system before you can benefit from any cognitive behavioral therapy or thought work, genius. The MOST helpful anxiety podcast out there.
Over the last 10-15 years I’ve been listening to podcasts, this is by far the most helpful anxiety and depression podcast I’ve ever listened to. I went back to the beginning and started at episode 1, and with the action steps each episode contains, I’ve made noticeable improvements in my nervous system regulation in ONE. WEEK. I’ve had anxiety since I was a child, and never heard of the nervous system healing approach. THANK YOU.
  • elisabethann089
    Thank you
This podcast saved my life. I have struggled with severe depression since I was 13, and after nearly 6 years of attempted therapy, I feel like I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm sending hugs and many thanks to all of the people who were able to make this powerful information accessible.

    Life-Changing!!
I am completely devouring each of these episodes, as they come out! This has come into my life at such a perfect time, as I’ve been on a personal journey towards emotional regulation and nervous system health. Amanda has really broken down the science behind nervous system dysregulation, which has really help to disarm my shame that something was wrong with me. I’m excited to continue and learn more, and grow!

This podcast just might save my life
I have struggled with depression for decades. I have been medicated, analyzed, and therapized. I’m at a point where none of it seems to help anymore. But each time I listen to an episode of this podcast, I gain a deeper understanding of my mind and body—I’ve learned more here than in any therapy I’ve been through. And I finally feel like there’s hope. What a gift. Thank you, Amanda.

    A life saver
Amanda was the first person I found on my healing journey. I found her when I felt like I really was dying from mental distress. I tried a million things to feel better and this podcast got me through that incredibly scary time. Her tone and cadence always brought me a lot of peace and I also got a new perspective and knowledge on what was going on with me. Whenever I needed a motherly, soothing pick-me-up, I knew where to go.
  • Christine0622
    Life changing & so helpful!
This podcast has completely changed my life and shed so much light on everything I’ve been struggling with since becoming a mom. Often times I feel like Amanda is talking directly to me or describing in detail a scene from my life. I am a mom of two little girls, 8 month postpartum with my second and am feeling the weight of life with two babies while working and trying to keep in touch with everyone in my life. I was feeling very overwhelmed and my anxiety spiraled postpartum which led me in search of a way to gain some control. I stumbled upon this podcast and can honestly say from the very first episode I was hooked. I am always looking forward to the next episode because each episode has provided some additional understanding or a concrete tool that is practical to implement right away. I am a pelvic floor PT and most of my patients are new moms juggling many new hats trying to navigate motherhood - I tell every single one of them to listen to this podcast! Thank you so much Amanda, you are such a gift!

    Eye opening and life changing
Amanda has this amazing ability to make you feel heard and seen through this podcast. She breaks everything down and makes it easy to understand why you feel the way you do and what your nervous system is doing. She gives you tangible tools to apply in your everyday life in every episode. I honestly can’t thank her enough for putting this podcast together. I’ve personally been dealing with anxiety and depression for at least a year and a half, maybe a little longer. When I started following her on instagram, she reached out to me. I’ve never had anyone do that for me. Amanda, keep up the amazing work!

Lightbulb moments after years of being confused
This podcast has given me so much clarity and reassurance that I’m not crazy! Amanda translates everything so beautifully and spot on with how triggers really feel and that they are NORMAL. I have gained so much value in learning about the nervous system ladder. I have been on a healing journey for years and I’m in counseling but this podcast has been an absolute game changer with approaching anxiety and triggers first in the body then the mind. Thank you for all you do!!
