bluepotatoOverall decent but with two big issuesSo I never turn my nose up at a automotive podcast that fits in my wheelhouse and in this case it’s classic 4 x 4‘s. But there are two issues with the show that I wanted to bring up in hopes the host can take it as critical feedback. One is a big one - and as a journalist and podcaster, where every question he asks to a guest, he always answers it (before the guest can) upfront with about a two minute ramble….for example, a question might be: ”tell me where your passion came from for automotive… “ and host continues with “… because I know when you were in high school you were very tuned into the automotive culture. I know that you looked at doing 123 and that really challenged you to think differently…”. Second, why I know he is trying to support his business, there is way too many plugs happening in an episode that talks about his business. There is a fine balance that you can capitalize on where you focus on what the listener wants to hear versus services you offer to help your listeners invest more into your company. just my humble opinion and I know this is his podcast but clearly can get a bit more stronger in the dialogue with a guest and what the audience wants to hear.

KSurf1600A podcast for both classic 4x4 diehards and fans of good storytelling generallyAlways a great listen! After a friend was raving about the earliest episodes, I thought I’d give it a go. The passion that Chris and his guests have for classic 4x4s and the lengths they go to track them down and restore them immediately drew me in. Great stories about the trucks and their collectors are shared in every episode, each one unique. A podcast for both classic 4x4 diehards and fans of good storytelling generally. Definitely a keeper, not one I’ll be “passing down the line.”

Infernal BearMore for collectors than buildersMostly good content that has introduced me to some cool builders and companies. But this is definitely more Hemmings/Robb Report than JP/Dirt Every Day, and if you’re an enthusiast that religiously drives your classic 4x4 to the local show n shine and has your mechanic on speed dial, but it never sees a trail and you’ve never rebuilt a hub in the rain, this is probably right up your alley. I would love season two to focus more on building and using the rigs than investing in and flipping them. The host is obviously pretty knowledgeable and passionate about the subject, and does a good job engaging guests. Looking forward to more!

3BEllisFinally!Finally there’s a podcast that digs into the 4x4/off-road segment, and that puts the stories and builders on behind some of the coolest builds display. Love this series!
