When I first discovered The Editing Podcast… It was pretty freaking amazing. But episodes lately not really my jam. I love when y’all stick to your roots of YouTube edits and music videos. YouTube is the wild rest right now for editors… And I freaking love it because possibilities are endless. And music videos needless to say can be so much fun!! even talking about the motion design and visual effects… They are like mini movies, but not boring lol (especially K-pop ✊✊) Will always check back just in case lol. ✌️🖤

This is such a unique podcast, very much needed! There’s so much content on storytelling from a conceptual standpoint but this marries both the ideas of storytelling with practical advice. Binge listening The Editing Podcast is one of my favorite weekly habits. It’s pure fun & highly educational in a way I have not seen from ANY other editing channel. Jordan & Hayden are on an absolute ROLL, already bringing us superstars like Yes Theory, Ryan Trajan, Star Wars’ Editor, Michelle Khare, Cobra Kai’s Editor, and ThisGuyEdits after only having started this brand new show. They also take deep dives into topics like getting hired to edit for Logan Paul and editing career paths. As a newbie to editing, I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of content to get down the learning curve, most of which bored me to death. Finding @HillierSmith on YouTube was the breakthrough for me that is helping me stick with it, and this editing podcast adds icing to the cake!!! Definitely be sure to subscribe to the Hillier Smith YT channel for the best editing breakdowns that teach you by example and are fun, punchy, and always straight-shooting. I enjoy watching his YT for breakdowns & supplementing those lessons with the more intangible, intuitive insights on this podcast. His editing breakdowns are so great that I always leave wanting more! His videos leave me super curious about the human element behind the execution of the editing process — how do editors think about their work day-to-day, what their routines and creative processes are like, how I might build momentum on my projects and keep that juice flowing, etc. This podcast is the answer. Hayden and Jordan fill the gap for us by sharing raw, candid conversations with guests who have very interesting perspectives that get to the heart of the harder questions about the behind-the-scenes of an editor’s lifestyle and unique challenges. The episodes make me feel more ENERGIZED about working hard to learn editing. Being solo can feel very solitary, so having the YT and this podcast to hang out on is a big boost and helps me feel like I’m on this journey with Jordan & Hayden and all the fun chums they banter with in each episode. I am so grateful to have this podcast in my life — it’s something I look forward to every Tuesday, and I make sure I don’t miss a single episode!! Keep it coming, guys! - Jess R

This is what you HOPE a video editing podcast will be. Two of the greatest editors on YouTube, interviewing the top creators and giving truly mind blowing yet practical insight! This will be the top podcast for beginners and top editors and story tellers. (Was that too much?) Just listen, it’s really good.

The hosts of this podcast clearly care about the craft of editing. I watch Jordan and Hayden on their individual YouTube channels and to see them team up is incredible. The combo we didn’t know we needed. Can’t wait for more episodes. Bonus: one of the hosts has a British accent.
