    More, please!
Narrated titles don't get as much love in audio fiction spaces as they should, and this one is no exception. Great writing, excellent delivery... I loved it. Yeah, it left me wanting more, but the author is still writing in the series!

    First rate science fiction podcast
Great science fiction podcast that, while not entirely original, is expertly produced and executed, especially with the narration by Shannon Woodward. Great listen all around.

Great extension into Apocalyptic Sci-Fi Media
Doesn’t start off slow and the narration keeps me engaged the whole time. I literally imagine the road meets fallout in this podcast. And oh man the mek voice is crazy to hear for the first time.

The entire time I’ve listened to this, I’ve been dreading finishing it. What a fantastic story. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it, worrying about the fate of the characters between listening to the episodes. I really hope that it gets a second season. I’ll be on the edge of my seat until then. I’m definitely gonna pick up the book when I get a chance!

    Couldn’t stop listening
Gary has done it again! The story is compelling and full of life. I was invested from start to finish. The acting and production made this come alive. My only regret is that there isn’t more.

    Spectacular!
Gary Witta is a masterful writer and keeps you on the edge this entire series. Shannon Woodward’s narration is a tour de force of bringing the listener through every human emotion and verbally painting the picture in the minds eye making you believe you are actually a witness to this fantastic story.

    Mary sue story
It would be a lot better if the writer didn’t do what every writer does now and make the protagonist the annoying Mary sue character

So good, I’m ready for the movie
Seriously. I’m ready to hand over my money. I usually don’t like stories with only one voice narrating. But the story and the characters are strong so I stuck with it. The simplistic format shouldn’t fool you. There are no dramatic actors or sound effects…and you don’t need them. That should tell you everything The story is excellent- so good that you want to see the world that the storyteller unveils. It’s a well written story that makes you want more even as it’s enough on its own.

    Great!
Well written story with plenty of cliff hangers. Gary Witta did a great job creating An audio drama that leaves you wanting more. Great narration by Shannon Woodward also.

Honestly, I found it a bit melodramatic - even soapy
I feel like this story has a ton of potential. It’s an interesting concept (albeit not *that* original), and a fairly strong interesting protagonist. At least to start. Then you get an incredibly formulaic, saccharine, and two-dimensional brother who sacrifices everything so she could live, etc. Then there’s a strong female protagonist, who does have positive attributes. She does immediately fall in love with basically the first strong man that comes by, and it was awkward, but you could maybe salvage it by saying she’s representing what "real-life" "complicated" feminism looks like. Except most complicated adult feminists aren’t usually in an intense overpowering crush with their closest male friends, nor do they fantasize about doing so. And so maybe that’s the hint. Maybe this is actually aimed at a young adult audience. If so, OK fair enough. But I wish they’d advertise what you’re going to get a little bit. Not to say that it’s so terrible. But honestly it wasn’t very good. And I think even the fans would admit that - we all have shows that we love that aren’t necessarily masterpieces. But I don’t think this is going to be one of those for me, at least.

    When is season 2?
I absolutely loved listening to this series!! The story and the action was exciting and kept me on edge the whole way through, and I hope they make a second season. While it might be more difficult to keep the action more specific to the main characters what with how it ended, I would absolutely love to hear more to this story! Nonetheless this was a great show from the story to the reader, and I can’t wait for more!!

    10/10!
Phenomenal show! Storyline, character development, narration, all A+. Please bring it back for a second season!

    More!
I really enjoyed this series, no idea that it even existed until I tripped over it the other day. The only suggestion would be many less F bombs. They don’t add anything to the story and are a bit disconcerting. Emphasis can be done in so many other ways.

    Incoherent rant against humanity
Humans dared to be skeptical of a Faustian bargain. The narrator says that makes us greedy. Humanity wasn’t enlightened enough to accept the benevolence of a superior species. And so that same species destroyed and enslaved us, inventing instruments of torture. But they are beautiful and kind, and would have shown humanity the better path… And our hero believes all this. Hating her own kind and idealizing her oppressors. “Thought provoking?” Give me a break.

    Intoxicating and compelling!
The actress who narrates has me in the palm of her hand with each and every turn! The story is a visceral experience. There are not enough stars for this Sci-fi fan, and my appreciation for the story teller grows with each chapter! Thank you!!!

    Fantastic Sci-fi/dystopian story!
What a great diversion - so well-scripted and acted. Impressive and thought-provoking.

    Sci-fi back to its roots
Really loved this adventure, got me through my work day happily. Love that you had a strong female lead and you weren’t constantly bashing the listeners over the head with that fact, and yet she was who was beautifully feminine at the same time. While most of the men were canon fodder… they were not depicted as useless morons as so many stories portray them as now days. The story pulls from other sci-fi obviously yet I found it new and refreshing and I was able to escape into it. From what I could tell you chose not to lace it with wokeism or modern politics like most podcast stories now days (which I can not thank you enough for) and allowed the listener to stay in the story. Well done, I look forward to the next season ~keifer jacinto

    Immensely Satisfying
When post-apocalyptic science fiction is done well, it can’t be beat. This story drew me in from the first few minutes. This is proof positive that one does not need a big multi-cast production with a huge budget and sophisticated sound design to have a captivating story. All one needs is an incredibly gifted writer and a superb voice actor who has mastered their craft. There is fantastic character development where you start feeling for these characters which is not easy to do with one actor. Episode 7 had me squirming in my seat….so intense! Stayed up for hours going over the scenes in my head. The breaks between the voice actor’s monologues were very effective in adding even more depth to the story. It has a great story arc. The ending gave me the same sense of hope and trepidation that I got after seeing the first Terminator movie. Overall, very well done!

    Recommend!!!
Enthralling story! Not immersive audio, but her voice reading is full of life and projects very well! You can feel the emotion from the characters!

    Excellent story !!
Totally enjoyed all the characters and plot . Made you think about our own pursuit of artificial intelligence . Hopefully there’s more of the story coming soon ! Definitely worth a listen !
  • N7Vault
    Not bad
The voice actress is great and most of the story is solid other than a few minor things. Would review higher but there’s just so many jarring ads in the middle of the reading it takes you out of it.

    Great Story!
Never would I thought I could love a podcast story as much as this one. Each episode had me at the edge of my seat and wanting more. The writing was beautiful and it felt like a very unique story, which is really hard to find these days. I highly recommend it and please give this podcast a chance. The content does not disapppoint.

    Hoping for More
I enjoyed the plot and storyline. I found myself imagining and immersing into a world with a subjugated human race and new technology. This story has a very Hunger Games feel to it. The plot progressed quickly, possibly too fast at times, but did a good job of not covering too much ground and also building in explanations for the time leaps. I also appreciated the mistakes built in the story like plans falling apart, guns getting jammed, or main characters getting shot. The conclusion also left a lot of loose ends that I’m hoping become a continuation of the story. What happened to Falk? How will the human race recover? Is something bigger on its way to Earth? This story would make a really interesting movie or tv show and a really fun video game.

One of the best fictional podcasts I’ve heard!
The story is highly engaging. I couldn’t stop listening to the episodes. You can really imagine and feel the tension in this story Gary Whitta created. The narration is by Shannon Woodward is fantastic, you hear the different characters in her voice and feel their struggles. I really hope this podcast gets turned into a movie or TV show. I’d love to see Shannon Woodward as Dakota and see the Gundog in action.

    Fantastic!
This is an excellent audio book in podcast form. The story and characters are engaging. The plot moves at a clip while not being rushed. Whitta paints a vivid picture. Woodwards narration performance is great aswell. Last night I drove for 45 min longer than I needed. Just mesmerized in the story and the delivery. Ep. 5 phew. Fantastic!
