In The Bag

20

In the Bag is a disc golf podcast focused on helping players build the best bag they can. Join Brad and Robbie C as they bring a different player onto the show for each episode to dissect and learn what changes they could bring to their disc golf selection. Our hope is for listeners to be able to apply these same principles to their own bags in order to ensure maximum confidence and scoring potential before they even step onto their next tee pad. Always remember: if it's good, keep it in the bag!!

    Great show but…
This was a solid podcast until, the one minute ads appeared. I thought no biggie until I found out that during the ad the content of the podcast doesn’t stop. So now during an hour long show I’m missing at least 3 minutes of content. The one that irritated me the most was while the guests was talking about his putts at each station. I heard his 15 footers answer but then an ad. After the ad was over. Robbie was on the next topic. I never his 25 foot and 40 foot answer. I’m not blaming this podcast directly. I think its across all Foundation platforms. The only two I listen to is “In the bag” and “Debate night “. I understand you got to pay the bills. But can you stop the content during the ads?

Best intro song of the foundation family.
Dig these dudes and what they’ve got to say. Great show discussing discs.

Good Input, Great Advice, Awesome Listen
If you are someone trying to learn what discs are good for you, this is the podcast to listen to! Brad and Robbie really seek to explain some of the major pitfalls that early players fall into (like only buying discs that pros throw…like I did…). This gives a great opportunity for anyone to look through, and compare their game with guests that come on the channel and see what they can do to improve!

    Started good, kinda fell off…
The first 10-15 episodes were great, now…meh. I wish they would go back to normal peoples bags. I feel like every other episode is some disc golf “celebrity” and their just discussing what kind of discs they have. It’s just not that helpful when they don’t interview people who have are missing a major shot in their game. If anything discuss what the “perfect” bag should be, what kind of shots, speeds, distances, etc.

    Best New DG Podcast
In the Bag is the first podcast in years that I have gone back through and listened to all the episodes. The insight they provide on discs and the fact that it tends to be geared towards us mere mortals in the DG community makes it a good listen and well worth your time. Thanks for the quality content fellas.

    A “proton zone” LOLOL
The title of this kind of sums up the entire show. These guy’s think they ultra knowledgeable about discs and they’re not. Just another bunch of randoms that wanted to hear themselves talk so they started a podcast.

    Cut down on your molds
This show has helped me gain comfort with my own bag by teaching me to cut down on my molds. I started with about 15-16 molds in my bag and now I have 7 molds in different plastics. This has helped me be more accurate and confident in all types of throws.

This show has changed my disc golf life!
I have been listening to this show for a about a week now. I instantly downloaded all the episodes I could. I found the one where the uplink was referred as super beneficial and helpful I found my bag to be similar and as someone who has a weak backhand shot I was really looking for something both midrange and something that would make it clear when I was messing up something on my backhand. The UPLINK HAS BEEN EXACTLY THAT for about three rounds now. My home course is a super tight wooded course in Northern California and this uplink sits up straight rides for what feels like miles and always looks pretty. I played a full 9 with only the uplink to make sure I am getting better and understanding how it works. I doubt I’ll throw many flick shots with it as it turns over pretty hard rather quickly and tries to turn into a roller 😂😂😂 however if I flick it almost completely upside down. It sits up flat that way too. So I know I am doing something right. I’ve enjoyed listening to this podcast first and even getting into griplock after I ran out of episodes over here. I really appreciate the work you gentlemen are putting in! I hope to have my bag reviewed and see how you can help my game more! In the mean time the only complaint I have about the show is I NEED MORE! Thanks guys for an awesome show and I hope you can keep it up!

    Great Advice
Just finished episode 9 and wanted to share two takeaways I am trying out: 1. Gain distance with lighter discs 2. Try a disc you love in other plastics I love my Roadrunner, and I just ordered a few lighter versions in Star and Champion plastic. Thanks for the great advice; I’m excited for what I’ll learn as this podcast continues.

    An eye opening podcast-
Hey Brad and Robbie, I’m writing this to enter the mystery box giveaway, but this review isn’t going to be centered around that. This is an amazing podcast and you two help so many players love the sport of disc golf. I’veloved introducing people to the sport and learning it myself. The disc golf community is also awesome, and might be the best part of the sport. For example I was in the retail store with several friends a couple days ago, and you came out and handed us all Double G beef jerky! (we ate all of it during the round haha) But back to the main point, the thing I’ve learned from your podcast is that there isn’t a right or wrong way to enjoy disc golf. I’m competitive, and starting out I just cared about getting better. I was beating everyone I was playing with but complaining about every putt I missed, instead of just enjoying the game! The discs that you recommend on the podcast don’t need to be used the same way for every person, it’s ok to throw a flex line with a disc that’s way too high speed, it’s ok to throw on hyzer every shot, and y’all have reminded me of that! I would watch my friends throw and try to tell them they were doing it wrong, they need to fix this, and do this, blah blah blah You don’t have to be good to enjoy the sport, and getting better at is a blast! Thanks so much for everything y’all do! 1 Corinthians 10:31- Luke Whelan

The Disc Pod I’ve Been Waiting For!
Longtime viewer of Robbie C on the tube and recently found Foundation as well. Love this pod and really enjoy the insights that both hosts bring to the game. While it’s great to hear from the pros and listen to them explain their reasoning behind a 500’ backhand beauty with their destroyers, not every player is there yet. Listening to people like me gaining new understanding of their discs in their bags has allowed me to cull some plastic from the fold and introduce some new members to the disc fam!

    I love it!!
As a newer player myself, this podcast has really helped me understand my own bag more and give me a better idea of what discs I should leave out and possibly be adding. Brad and Robbie are great hosts and it’s such an easy listen. So happy there is now a podcast version available. Maybe someday they could have me on to fully finalize my bag👀.

    Breaking Barriers
This podcast is such a huge level-up series. I feel like I’m seeing players at around my skill level and I get to see mistakes that I’m making in my own bag! Every episode reveals a dose of information that I can use to break the barrier I didn’t know I had!
