I was a massage therapist and I met Liz Smith after she came back from Elizabeth Taylor‘s wedding. Anyway ended up becoming a regular in her world, attending regular movie screenings and I loved her, but there’s no way I would have been her girlfriend because the age difference and that I’m straight, but I felt certain people were trying to pressure me because I loved her. I relate to hacks a lot, but I feel you can love someone but not want to be their lover so I don’t see the two main characters and hacks actually being lovers. It would’ve been great to have some help, but she and Barbara Walters were much more concerned about helping Monica Lewinsky! Liz suggest I sleep with Jeffrey Epstein when I told her he hit on me I don’t think she really understood what a destructive monster he was and by the way, never saw underage people at his house; I really appreciate it that scene with the Republican golfer wanting to piss. I definitely would never have slept with Epstein because he seems to test his targets and the test seem to be how far could he take it to degrade you? How far would you go for money or whatever he was dangling? Anyway, severe insomnia my brain literally hurts; brain inflamed from a running punch to my head at the doctors office.. . October 1 a hole punched in my retina as I held my back my arm was numb whenever it became a human piñata. went to a dermatologist that rented from Dr. Andrew Fagelman - I wanted the small cyst removed on my arm. I felt beautiful at age 50 I left with a hole in my retina and I was sexually assaulted by a woman medical receptionist office manager (not fired or arrested Dr F said in depo she’s exemplary. He takes her to drug parties. I kid you not that’s what he said), my attacker (and pals) decided to lie and she wasn’t the only one I went to the NYPD and Det Vergona refuse to meet me except a false arrest me Saturday at 4 PM so I feel kind of like I’m living the story of hacks and Larry David, but it’s not a comedy, it’s a horror show. I went to a doctors for peace of mind and I feel like I’m dying from the violence the gaslighting, the lies and every court I sued they lied and apparently in New York that’s allowed?

What a wonderful companion to a super show. Both the show and the pod have comforted me during a very intense period. Now that DVDs with commentary are done, podcasts are the perfect compliment to streams.

I realized watching this show what great television can do for people and relationships. Thinking about Jean Smart made me realize that. I can remember Tuesday mornings with my mother talking about designing women and how much we love the show after I would stay up late on a school night to watch. That show, much like Hacks, detailed dynamic and complicated relationships, between powerful women. That’s the same reason I fell in love with the first time I saw it with my wife and why I still love it today. I’m going to miss those characters and I can’t wait to see where they go in season four. I do think the Emmys tend to get it right, but I don’t know how they’re gonna be able to split the best actress award between Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder - if there is any justice in the world, they would both win. Thank you for the show and all you do. See you next season.

I’ve watched Seasons 1 and 2 of Hacks 3 times now and enjoy it more each time. This podcast is a dream come true for Hacks fans, giving us backstories in each episode by the people who know it best. My one suggestion would be for them to go back to Season 1 and talk about each episode (or at least selections) from that, too. I’d never tire of hearing the show’s creators talk about the show.

Hacks is my absolute favorite show and I’m so happy it’s back for season 3. This podcast is amazing, gives a glimpse into the writer’s room and behind the scenes facts. More Hacks, love love love it!!!

Love this show, from the first time I saw it on a plane this summer, I knew it was superbly written, such an unusual unique show, was taken with it from the beginning, cusps to all involved. Love the podcast! I want to understand what the writers are hoping to portray, to see if I’m getting it right and also things I’m missing! so keep that in mind in future podcasts. Love to hear from the writers, I love the mix of laughing and sadness, emotional stuff, isn’t that life! I love how crazy and wild Deborah is! Can relate to her and Ava’s character, brilliant writing and love the visual lushness of the show! Can you do a podcast on season 1 please? I only see season 2!

Big fan of the show on HBO max. Had to tune into the podcast. Does not disappoint. Weekly guest hosts bring a nice twist to the format. The creator/writer/director trio share delicious behind the scenes tidbits in each episode. Give it a listen.

…No guest hosts! Just find a great interviewer. Just have the creators/writers/main actors being interviewed. Fans want to hear scenes dissected and insider stories, not the writers interviewing a guest host (who was maybe in the show for 30 seconds) talking about how they broke into comedy. Thank you. Hacks is the best show on television.

Let’s face it, Jean Smart is an American Treasure, and Hacks was easily the best new show ( ok, neck and neck w/ Abbott Elementary) of 2021…PERIOD. I normally don’t enjoy companion podcasts to popular shows, but this one does what the concept was made for: Super Fans who love the insider info., reflections on casting, writing room chat, super fan celebrity guests and so much more. If you love Hacks, you’ll love this pod.

It’s fun to get to know the characters and actors on a personal level. Nice break from my usual true crime obsession.

Absolutely love the show and hate when the episodes ends. The podcast helps with that withdrawal. The inside perspective makes melove the show even more.
