This podcast is fun, clever, and interesting, covering a variety of topics, almost like a conversation at the dinner table. It's a conversation between two language teachers: a native spanish speaker and an english speaker who is at an advanced level in spanish. I'm finding this podcast really REALLY helpful to improve my comprehension of oral spanish. They are both engaging and the connection between them that makes the podcast fun

I really love the concept of this podcast. The two hosts have a great connection and I appreciate the topics they cover. With that said, as someone who is learning Spanish the student’s accent makes it really hard to focus. He’s got his grammar nailed down but the accent isn’t suited for Spanish learners, and the other host is disingenuous about it, telling him his accent isn’t bad. It’s hard enough learning a second language, but learning it from someone who isn’t speaking correctly is nearly impossible, and incredibly frustrating.

I studied Spanish years ago but never practiced speaking or listening in every day life. I really enjoy the episodes and am surprised by how much I still remember. (Duolingo helps too!)

I feel like Cesar and El Inglés are good friends of mine at this point, and I find them adorable. The conversations are interesting and make for good practice. I usually listen to each episode 2 or 3 times. Once before reading the transcription and once or twice after. I’m so appreciative that they provide this free (and ad-free) resource. Thank you!

I’m a 60-something American woman learning Spanish, and it’s a challenge! However, if I slow down the podcast playback to .75 and follow the transcript in Spanish,1 I understand most of it. It’s great to have those tools. My goal is to improve little by little.

This is my favorite series. The rapport between the hosts is fun and because of the varied subjects I learn without trying so hard! It’s a nice break from grammar.

My teens and I just started listening to this podcast. They did 5 years of Spanish immersion elementary school but didn't have access to Spanish classes for middle school. My youngest has to study for a test to get high school credit and this has been a great resource!! Much more challenging than a basic class and its unlocking the Spanish that they haven't used in a while! Thank you!!

Listening to this podcast and using the transcripts has helped my Spanish so much. I am now frequently able to hear what others say when they are speaking in Spanish. I still have to listen hard but I am so much better. If this is hard for you, take César’s advice and don’t give up! Listen to the podcast a couple of times (slow it down if you have to), use the transcript and then listen again. My tutor tells me that I am doing better at listening and understanding than most of her other students and we honestly think it’s because I listen to this podcast.

I love this podcast! I was looking for something to help sharpen my Spanish. I studied Spanish in college and spent a semester in Sevilla but sadly many years have passed without using my Spanish at all. I was delighted to find this podcast with Cesar & el Ingles and I can actually understand most of what they are saying. They have such a fun dialogue together and I find myself laughing along or smiling at their jokes. This is simply a great podcast, and I hope it continues para siempre! Gracias!!

Your show has helped me tremendously with my Spanish. Watching Spanish TV with English was recommended but I prefer this. I enjoy the banter and the short length with the study guide and cards. I believe I will be at intermediate soon!

I was worried that this podcast would be too easy so I didn’t try it when it first came out. However, when I ran out of intermediate episodes I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! The content is just as interesting as in César’s other podcasts, but with the added delight of El Inglés. The banter between the two is so endearing and I hope they post more episodes soon!

I listen to the intermediate podcast also but this one is also challenging and very interesting especially with the addition of the mysterious El Ingles. Haha. I’m from the US, English native learning Spanish and I must say this is brilliant. Please keep it up & it’s so good in fact, you should definitely ramp up the frequency if you can but great content overall

Thank you for this excellent podcast ! I am French and starting to learn Spanish on my own. As my native language is Latin based, this format for false beginners is very relevant for me because I already understand let’s say half of it while I cannot speak it yet, so it’s the perfect amount of challenge for me. I also like the chosen topic and the personalities of the teachers, they are so nice and it’s very entertaining!
