    Good, informative but…
    1) Dave—prefer it when he avoids political issues. While other some other reviewers bash him, he’s the one that keeps this podcast moving along because if it were just JSM, each episode would be hours long. Speaking of JSM… 2) somebody get him a thesaurus. Please. Every time there’s a child victim…well, it could be a drinking game. “Precious Li’l Angel! DRINK!” Listeners would be drunk for days. 3) Name dropping Nancy Grace isn’t the flex they think it is. Ugh.

    Professional and Passionate
It is clear that Joseph Scott Morgan is a professional who is passionate about his work and he explains things in a way that is easy to understand. I highly recommend listening to his many stories.

You would complain to a retailer about an ouija board being on a shelf. Give me a break. You don’t make the rules for everyone Dave. I bet you’re a blast at parties.

    Best true crime podcast!
Absolutely love this podcast. The degree of research and knowledge and experience that is brought to this show is superb! Thank you!!

Sounds like you’re in a box.

    Love this podcast!!!
Super informative and I loved Jackie and now Dave is a great co-host. Joe Scott goes into enough detail to be scientifically accurate but in a manner that the layman can understand. He really does have the heart of a teacher. ❤️ I met the Morgan’s at CrimeCon one year and they are just the nicest people as well!

    Sloth
Episodes could all be 30 min and perfectly informative and entertaining but host drags on and on and on with fillers, repeats self over and over along with periods of silence.

    Thank you Professor Morgan.
I always imagine how lucky those who listen to your teachings are. I am way beyond the age of studying forensics but it would be a dream to be in your class. Always impressed listening to you. Thank you. Question: is there a way you two can talk about tools and techniques used to preserve evidence for decades without altering it? Thank you again.

    Buried lede
This episode just aggravated the heck out of me. It took until the 32:20 mark for you to say the word “hantavirus.”Please be more linear and concise instead of talking all around the most important part of the story. Y’all were very vague & cryptic. If I hadn’t already known the story, I would have bailed on this episode after 10 minutes. Please be more concise with your storytelling. This was just stupid.

Please, get back to how you and Dave first began……
I love Body Bags with Jo and Dave, as they are GREAT together. As of recently, it seems that Jo goes off on information that is not involved with the case they are discussing. Still Love Body Bags with Joe Scott Morgan and Dave, as they complement each other AMAZINGLY…..

    Ads & Dave
Really wish you’d skip the political ads. Definitely did not need to hear a Trump sneaker ad while trying to escape the ads on the radio. Edit…The political ads have ended. I don’t know if it was because of all of the reviews, but I am glad. You used to be very good about not disclosing any of your political views. When Dave is on the show, he seems to bring it out. He whines and groans about all of the injustices that he differs in opinion about. It’s obnoxious. I listen for facts, not political opinions. Dave doing this brings nothing to the show. Typically love your content but it’s getting more and more difficult to enjoy it. The most recent episode with the firing squad/baseball bat was awful. Dave - shut up.

I love everything you do! From all the shows you are a guest on to your podcast and book! Plus you have no idea how good looking you are which makes your calming demeanor even better! I bet your wife feels so safe around you.

    Gary Gilmore
I saw the actual death of Gary Gilmore by firing squad on TV. As I remember, they had to do it twice.

    Informative Show!!
Recent episode on methanol deaths makes me glad I’m on Dave’s side of drinking…. As in complete abstinence!!!
  • HunterMcDoogle
    Awesome!
This is one of the most fascinating podcasts EVER. Both hosts are great in their own respects. This has been kind of a sleep aid for me after tough calls—it feels like JSM and Dave are “in the trenches” with me and has honestly been very therapeutic (albeit a bit strange 😂). Thanks guys!

    Lose the extra weight!
I love listening to you, Joe. I cannot stand listening to Dave. He laughs at the most inconvenient of times- he tries to joke around all the time- it’s not so much on facts but on jokes with him. Every time he begins to speak I want to switch to a different podcast and he interrupts you half of the time- you’re trying to stick to point and he interjects with some joke or something else. Rather annoying. Go back to the facts- you’re a great story teller Joseph!! Lose the extra weight!

    Body bags
Um…the one episode I listened to was a follow up to the JBR murder, they struggled with facts of the case, focused on the ransom note while obviously trying to make the pieces fit whatever conclusion they have crafted. No thanks, there’s plenty of internet sleuths already.
  • Gary Millrat
    podcast lost their way
Hadnt listened for over a year and after one new episode, I won't go back. Morgsn used to be succinct and stick to the facts. Now he and his cohost theories constantly almost a click bait to what's coming next to keep you interested very disappointing
  • AMMCSWAIN4
    One of my faves!!
This show is one of my absolute favorites. It can get pretty graphic and descriptive, but JSM and Dave explain things thoroughly. I love hearing some of the science and explanations for things. As someone from the “landmass between Mobile and New Orleans,” I also love that I can identify so easily with some of the Southern quips Joe uses.

    Compassionate coroner
The in-depth, medical information is delicately covered with care and respect. Yet, at times, some of the opinions of Dave Mack come from a less objective viewpoint introduces conjecture that detracts from what the truth is. Also, in some episodes there seem to be too many unprofessional attempts at psychoanalysis. I have stopped listening because of this. Also, blaming crimes on being an immigrant or on healthcare being government- subsidized veers into politics and instantly detracts from the forensic truths.

    Subtract Dave Mack
There’s so much I love about this podcast and Joseph Scott Morgan, I just wish it were more him and less Dave Mack. I have massive interest in learning about JSM’s experience with medicolegal investigations, their techniques, and insight behind the forensics. I have zero interest in further listening to Dave Mack’s personal and political philosophies dropped in as asides. He’s very much welcome to continue doing so, I just won’t be listening to or recommending the podcast while it continues to occur.

One of the very best podcasts out there!
I have been listening to Joe Scott Morgan since he was just a guest on Nancy Grace. I absolutely love his voice for storytelling. His counter part, Dave Mack, is also brilliant and they play off each other very well. I love learning something new through these crime stories and I love how kind and respectful they are to the victims. It’s a plus that Joseph is a fellow Louisianan! Thank you Joe Scott for what you do and the person you are!!!

    Crime Fighter JSM
I’ve been listening to JSM and Dave Mack via Crime Stories with Nancy Grace for quite some time now. I love how JSM always approaches every story with empathy, care and common sense. Dave is the perfect partner to act as “us,” “the listener,” asking real questions and providing what he knows about each case. JSM is in the game as a current professor and his vast knowledge is impressive and inspiring. We need these real life crime fighters who ACTUALLY have a hand in catching criminals and ACTUALLY help crime victim families in a profound way. JSM and Dave Mack don’t just read a crime story from the internet for this podcast, like so many others do. They are true professionals who combine their knowledge and make a difference. I suspect that beyond this podcast their contributions throughout their careers have benefited more families than we could ever imagine. Thanks for an educational and meaningful podcast with two great, down to earth gentlemen.

    Joseph and Dave
I am a huge true crime addict! I love deep diving into cases and Body Bags is a great way to learn more in depth behind the scenes information . Joseph Scott Morgan and Dave Mack have such a great camaraderie. I enjoy hearing the hows and why’s to certain things in the cases and so many times I’m left thinking I never thought of that and wow that really explains it and makes sense. Keep the episodes coming guys I love them ! And THIS is Body Bags!!
  • rileyjcook
    Best podcast ever!!
After hearing about it on Crime Stories, I started listening to Body Bags, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I love how Joe and Dave talk like they’re just having a friendly conversation - it makes things so much easier to understand!
  • riverbear23
    The word is ‘mandibular’
Tried listening to the episode about the bear attack that wasn’t… he said “maxillary and mandulary” in regards to teeth. It’s maxillary and mandibular. There were other mispronunciations and just…. He’s not as knowledgeable or professional as I thought so I won’t be listening to anymore episodes. Disappointing.

    Nope
Just started listening to this show and I’m a few episodes in. This last one they say they didn’t care about being “politically correct” regarding a Native American issue. I immediately unfollowed and turned it off. Do better.

    Amazing
I took a few classes with Dr. Morgan when studying to get my degree in college. He’s the very reason I fully decided to pursue my journey into the forensic field. I listen to his podcasts when driving because I enjoy how thoroughly he dives into cases and picks them apart. If you ever have the chance to listen to him in person, I would because I’ve never had a better mentor than him.

    Great
I love this podcast. JSM is so knowledgeable! I live vicariously through his stories. Dave Mack, thanks for making things light but please stop interrupting. As soon as JSM starts down a path you jump in and summarize the whole story.
