Do you really mean persons of various nationalities and accents have you thrown? I wish you were smart but you're not. And have you heard AI technology lately? it's actually making me laugh that you think this is related to it. Oh yeah and they are entertaining you for free so shut the heck up

I can’t stand AI reading these stories. No inflection, no feeling, and no emphasis during these short stories. AI story narration has a loooooong way to go to be aurally pleasing. EAP stories MUST be read with exquisite narration. Wow! Another thing for which I’ll be on the lookout. Bad, BAD doggy. NEXT! 🤯💥🤘

The Summary teaser on the main Apple iPod page really is a compelling reason to click and listen to the story. The anticipation is palatable, I can’t click fast enough. NO WAIT, my bad, the only thing on the intro page is a useless link to somewhere. One must judge SOULY on the stories title whether or not to listen. How do you spell LAZY.

Diction is awkwardly timed and intoned, numerous common words are badly mispronounced with extra syllables or wrong emphasis, and some non-native speaker accents are nearly incomprehensible. These are either poorly programmed bots or remedial readers who are trying really hard. Makes it very hard to listen to and does the varied stories a disservice.

A new short mystery story almost every night! Some of these stories are great. Some are ok. Some I don’t end up liking so I don’t finish. Some of the readers are great. Some are ok. Some are hard to listen to, so I don’t. But, they are free. I look forward to checking out the story of the day every night when I go to bed. Don’t be discouraged by the negative reviews. Just hit play. If you like it listen. If you don’t check back tomorrow. This is a short story treasure trove.

The voice needs to be more expressive but the stories are very wonderful

The stories are interesting but the narrator’s voice is very robotic and unexpressive. I can’t stay engaged because of the voice. Might as well be reading an instruction manual for a piece of furniture.

I like most of the short stories, but I really dislike the narrators. Is AI reading the stories? There is a curious flat (machine) inflection to them, or too many “mouth sounds” in others.

Good stories but, from what I read, horrible storytelling. Overreacted with emphasis completely miss-placed. So bad that you can’t even understand the story. I wish they would do them over again and this time hire a competent storyteller.

These are not good. The Libravox narrators I heard were all pretty darned awful with poor technique, delivery, and, whoa, those mic pops. Strikes me that this group is tossing a bunch or recordings up again peoples ears in hopes of picking up a few ad dollars here and there.
