Must listen podcast whether you’ve seen the show or not!!!
Must listen podcast and must watch show. I just finished the tv show for the first time and was hoping they had gone back and done something like this. The podcast has been excellent. It is incredible to hear all the behind the scenes stories and accounts from the actual war. Can’t recommend enough!

    Must listen for everyone
I came upon Band of Brothers later than most as I didn’t have HBO at the time of broadcast. I’ve watched and adored that series multiple times a year. This Podcast is the ultimate companion for that masterpiece. Truly a work of art in its own right. Anyone who has watched, absolutely must listen to this

    Beyond Terrific
I first listened to this show in 2021 and since I was reading Marcus Brotherton’s “Company of Heroes,” I decided to re-listen to the podcast again and it’s even better the second time. I’m really impressed by Roger’s knowledge and preparation. Well done.

    Flash!
Thunder! Great job! Love to see an interviewer who has a passion and has done his homework. Great insight and stories from the guests. I would like to hear all episodes done again with a different guest.

    Really delightful
This show is so pleasant, in a perfect world they’d put out some more episodes, but I thank everyone involved for the most pleasant day I’ve had recovering from a migraine

    Love Band of Brothers!
My husband had showed me the show while we were dating about 10 years after it had come out. So so good! So I was super excited to hear all of the interviews and behind the scenes stories from the actors and show runners. Looking forward to watching the show again for the 2nd time now that I’ve heard the entire podcast. The only reason I’ve given this 4 stars is because of the host. It took me a few episodes in to get used to his voice. It felt like I was listening to a game show host the entire time. I pushed past it because I really wanted to listen. This may be his actual personality, but podcast hosts are more subtle than this especially when you’re expecting to hear a podcast with this kind of content. They needed a different person for this podcast.

    Wanted to love this
I really wanted to love this podcast. Band of Brothers is my favorite show of all time. I am sorry to say I am not a fan of the host.

    Host Roger Bennett is cringe
I was so looking forward to this podcast as I started to rewatch Band of Brothers, as the interviews with cast members looks fab. Unfortunately, could not get past host Roger Bennett, who is like an old school morning tv host, in that the whole format feels very scripted and he has his questions on a cue card, and just sort of jumps to the next question after the guest answers without really having a conversation with the guest. One of the lovely things about podcasts is that they are usually more informal which gives you have a chance to get to know the guests better. Conan O’Brien is a good example of a host who adapted his style for podcast format. Unfortunately, Roger Bennett did not. I expected more from you, HBO.

    Really Illuminating
I am so enjoying listening to this, having just re-binged the series. It is so fascinating to hear even more stories, and how all of the actors reaffirm each-others experiences, plus the extra first-hand tales they heard from the real men of Easy Company. Thanks for making this!

    The best
Everything about this podcast is enjoyable. The host’s enthusiasm and knowledge about all things BOB is appreciated. Listening to the cast’s experiences deepens the perspective of this film and the makers who created it for the ages. The respect and awe felt toward the veterans is deeply moving. Melding history and film at it’s finest.

Host almost ruined it for me
I’m a huge Band of Brothers fan and rewatch it every Memorial Day and Veterans Day. I was so excited to find this podcast, especially when I learned it was fairly recent and had interviews with the actors. However the host’s over the top ridiculous enthusiasm and effusiveness was too much. I almost stopped listening a few minutes into the first episode but was too interested in hearing Ron Livingston. I know Roger Bennett is a huge fan but his tone was almost comical. He didn’t need to insert his “own” tagline on every episode (“I say flash, you say thunder”) and I was so thankful for episode 10 where the tagline disappeared and his tone actually became normal and introspective. I’m glad I kept listening though, as hearing the actors and writers talk about what happened behind the scenes and the effect that making the show had on each of them was fascinating, touching, and a tribute to Easy Company.

Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This!
Long time Band of Brothers fan. Own the box set, have watched the entire series 6 times and love it more each time! Listening to this podcast makes me as happy as the show. So fun listening to the behind the scenes. Band of Brothers is the gift that keeps on giving!

    The host terrible podcasting voice
Man oh man how I do adore this series and all who contributed to it and the history that it represents and the amazing story that it tells but the pod is completely ruined for me because it’s so incredibly painful to listen to the hosts voice. It’s godawful with no emotion whatsoever. No enthusiasm either. You are dull my man, incredibly boring and you make my ears bleed. I cannot listen to another episode. Who’s idea was it to give you this gig? I’m so sorry my Man I don’t mean to be rude but you have zero prescience and age so painfully boring as an interviewer.

    More than once
This is my third time listening through the podcast series and it gets better every time and just like the movie series, I’m saddened when it comes to an end. 10/10

    Simply Incredible
I first watched band of brothers some 15 years ago with my dad who was the son of a WW2 POW, my grandfather. Rewatching it again now and gaining a refreshed appreciation of the men who fought and their incredible acts of bravery and sacrifice. The podcast provides some really cool insight into the shows creation and further deepens a connection to the real men whom the show portrays. The interviewer is great and susses out some amazing details from the interviewees. A gem to go along with a cinematic treasure.

    Well done!
I guess you could consider me to be a groupie now at the tender age of 64. I love everything there is about this series -- have read half a dozen Ambrose books and respect all of the sacrifice of the greatest generation.

    Respect for humanity
Band of Brothers is the paradigm of human drama displayed on film. War, because of it’s inherent nature of conflict, it’s adrenaline, strategy and it’s shifting narrative is the ideal backdrop. WW2 is the best war to capture human drama on film because it is close enough in time and relatable to to the masses in its clarity of differentiation between good and evil. The men of Easy Company seem to have been ordained for this role. Hanks, Spielberg and the entire staff accept their roles in history, to display history, with enough determination and humility that they succeed in truly honoring humanity. They do so through the kaleidoscope of honoring the men of Easy Company but that is not their ultimate goal, a goal they do accomplish.

This podcast is amazing. Absolutely well done in every aspect. I love hearing the stories of the men depicting these incredible heroes. Roger is clearly passionate about the material and I love how immersive the whole experience of reliving “Band of Brothers” has become through listening intently. I am sad that there isn’t more of this phenomenal podcast. Thank you to everyone involved with this.

    5 Star Analysis
Roger Bennett masterfully and passionately takes you through the impact of the show on those who participated in it and, along the way, pays a tribute to the real men in a way that might even surpass the show itself.

A Fantastic Tribute to Amazing Men and an Incredible Show
Band of Brothers is the best show/miniseries ever. Roger Bennett hosts a great collection of the series’ contributors such as Tom Hanks, Damian Lewis, Ron Livingston, etc. I was really impressed with the interviews - each interviewee offered such incredible insight. But even more they have such a genuine reverence and respect for the men of Easy Company. As another reviewer mentioned, it is quite emotional and I found tears welling at times. I love Roger on Men in Blazers but his enthusiasm for BoB is obvious and appreciated - a fitting interviewer who asked really good questions but gave the floor to the cast and creators. Highly recommended, especially if you are a fan. Definitely makes you want to watch it right away. Currahee.

    Roger Bennett!!
This podcast was made to be excellent because of Roger Bennett. Saw some criticism of him in the reviews. People didn’t like his accent? That’s ridiculous. He was thoroughly prepared. Obviously, did in depth research on the real life principals of easy company, and the actors and the writers. This is the hallmark of great interviewers. Additionally, his detailed knowledge of all the episodes was a further enhancement. The back stories were fascinating. If you’re a fan of Band of Brothers, don’t miss out. Listen to this podcast series. Guaranteed to enjoy!

    Gratitude
I am so grateful for this podcast! This was one of the great films of all time. What a pleasure to hear the people who created it. Each episode of the podcast is so moving that I often find myself tearing up. It is an extraordinary narrative about an extraordinary group of soldiers.

Makes you love the show more
It was amazing to hear from these writers, producers, and actors about how they made the show. Specifically though was that every single one of them hi lighted their main job—to tell these men’s stories and make them feel even more proud of their service and accomplishments. I love how they ran things by these men for accuracy and often asked permission for more major creative licenses. I know some of the criticism of the show in the past has been how gruesome it is, but I am so glad they explained the intentionality of that and their commitment to realism in a Michal Bay age. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves the show and has always hoped it was accurate!

    Wow…
What can I say? The series was in the top 1% of all screen fare for all time and this podcast was beyond outsanding. The amount of respect these actors show for our World War II heroes is touching and very worthwhile listening to. God bless all of our veterans, specifically our World War II veterans who we are losing more and more of each day. Man, I love those people.

If you love band of brothers this will assist you into diving head first into the rabbit hole
I’m a fanatic about band of brothers. To be honest all WWII history. The Ambrose books were good but this miniseries made me feel for them. This podcast is incredible- It made me feel like I was in the same room with the actors and real life warriors with some of the experiences they shared about the actors getting to know the person they were portraying. The only wish I have is that it was a lot longer- if there was 100 hours of content I would have listened to it all. Thank you for making this!

As a huge Band of Brothers fan this podcast is a must listen. It just adds more insight into what makes Band one of the greatest shows ever. Also, if you’re a Men in Blazers fan having Roger Bennett as the host makes it even better. Rog is so good at what he does his humor and soothing voice just adds even more to the podcast.

Listen to this if you loved the series
I’m a huge Band of Brothers fan from many years of watching. This podcast is the perfect companion to it. When they discuss the real Babe meeting the actor who was in the role of a friend killed in the war, it chills you to the bone. Absolutely loved the insights this podcast gave. Thank you for doing this.

Emotional and touching tribute to Easy Company
This podcast is absolutely unbelievable. I love hearing the back stories about how the series came to be, the research and dedication that went into making it, and how the heroes of Easy Company felt not only about the series but the cast and crew who helped portray their heroic stories. I hang on every word and always find myself in tears, thinking about what these men did for the world. Thank you to Roger, you’re a brilliant host and I look forward to listening to this each year ❤️

    Real Men
In a culture where men are sometimes lost in their identity, this series and podcast reminds us when a real man is. This is my all-time favorite video series and the podcast is a great compliment. I will never tire of learning more about Easy Company.

    Absolutely Incredible
“Band of Brothers” is such a seminal work that has honored those involved greatly, while also informing so many from subsequent generations. Thank you Roger Bennett for hosting this touching tribute.
  • Bittner of the Alps
Excellent! A few missteps but 99% amazing.
This is a great look into the making of BoB and, aside from a few out-of-touch comments by directors and the host, it honors the men of Easy Company and the incredible effort to tell their story. The actors are so respectful and humble about their role in honoring these heroes. Of course Hollywood elites can’t quite see past their own ‘greatness’ but the actors and writers are on point and keep the podcast grounded in the great sacrifice and bravery of our greatest generation. A must listen!
