Little Kids, Big Hearts

56

Little Kids, Big Hearts helps kids and their grown-ups grow social and emotional skills, a.k.a. Big Hearts, with a little help from the show's host, Todd Loyd, a longtime early childhood educator. It’s a space where kids LEAD the discussion and explore big ideas in social and emotional learning — from feelings to friendship to helping others. If you like using your imagination, going on mindfulness journeys to magical worlds, and eating gummy bears that grow on trees, then you're in the right place! Recommended for big-hearted kids ages 2-10 (and their grown-ups).

Heartwarmingly centers children so we can all learn from them!
Little Kids, Big Hearts is a unique podcast that really lets kids shine for who they are. Todd is a great host and creates a safe and fun environment for them to explore all different types of topics, from siblings to feelings to empathy to race. So often, we hear adults telling us what is best for our kids and in this podcast we can revel in their own wonder and come up with solutions that are at times, even better than our own. Highly recommend!!

    The Best Adult-Kid Podcast!
Hats off to Sparkler and Todd for creating a truly authentic podcast that my entire family— kids and adults together really enjoy. The careful way in which Todd brings in real children’s voices— and the sense of wonder they add— is so special! Please do more— Hoping a sponsor might pick this up as I’m sure they are working on a shoestring.

Sweet show for my 7 and 4 year old to enjoy listening to together. Our family had a great conversation about the topics covered and they both had interesting questions of there own. We all really enjoyed it, we’ll be listening again!

There’s so much here, and while the concepts are packaged to be accessible to little hearts and brains, the cues apply to all of us. LOVED IT.

    Joyful!
This podcast is filled with life and joy. My almost-4-year-old, who is new to podcasts, sat, rapt, for the full recording! We love to hear from the kids on the show and how the host, Todd, responds to their thoughts and feelings. Can’t wait for the next one!

Wonderful Podcast for Kids (& Grown-ups!)
Really enjoyed listening to this podcast. I love the concept of kids leading the discussion. The host, Todd, had the children engaged and connected from the start which allowed them to open up and have an honest conversation about their feelings and experiences - all while having loads of fun! Highly recommend if you have young children and want to expand their social/emotional growth.

    Great new podcast FOR kids!
This is the perfect podcast for kids to share their BIG feelings in a safe place. My kids really enjoyed the first episode and it was comforting for them to hear other children name and articulate similar feelings. We’re very excited to hear what’s next!

A Fresh New Pod for Co-Listening
I found this so much fun! Todd and Mango are a great combo to get kids to talk about their feelings. Reminded me of a cross between Shari Lewis and Fred Rogers! I really love the combination of the puppet voice and the narration with real kid voices. It’s poignant and reflective of the times. Check it out.
