    Great podcast, keep it coming
I really love this podcast, and am grateful for the work SeaDoc is doing here. The host is a great interviewer and lines up great guests. To be fair, in large part I feel they moved away from Orcas after the first season and onto the Salish Sea in general and the ocean in light of human impact, which I have enjoyed learning about, despite being non-Orca material. Obviously the argument can be made that this impacts the Orcas and is still relevant, and I’d agree, though I’d argue there are more relevant topics that could be covered which aren’t, like the Lower Snake River Dams and the issues they cause regarding access to salmon for sustenance. Or even going into specific stories of individuals within pods, or current things they’re studying about them scientifically. I’d love to see some more Orca emphasis like that, but frankly this podcast is still great and learning more about the Salish Sea and some of the really inspiring and great work that intelligent and compassionate people are doing for the ecosystem is really heartening. This is one of my most appreciated podcasts, because it covers things that people should know, but from an optimistic and hopeful place. I hope you guys keep the episodes coming.

Great intro to how special these creatures are!
I learned so much incredible trivia about the lives of these whales and how different the southern resident orcas are than the other killer whales. They have a distinct culture, for instance, they do a greeting line when the different pods encounter each other, which none of the other orca groups do! This podcast was so inspirational to listen to and gives you a window into what’s going on underwater just outside our doors.
