I’m wrapping up recovery and integration coach training in the psychedelics space, and was introduced to Laura’s podcast by other coaches in my cohort. The depth of content and quality of interviews is worth every minute. She is completely unafraid to reveal her own growth and transformation of perspective over time within the psychedelics space and open to discuss everything from the practical to the metaphysical. I’ll be listening to her regularly from now on.

Laura Dawn is a wonderful host who shares a wealth of knowledge (her creativity podcast was amazing and I can’t wait for the rest) and asks her guests powerful, insightful questions. The guests are brilliant. The episode with Chris Bache has to be the most profound podcast I’ve ever heard. Thank you for bringing such amazing content to us

The person being interviewed was fine and held the conversation at a higher level than the host initiated. Laura D seems stuck in self-promotion and comes off as immature. Perhaps these women could read something about Feminism before discussing it as if they are informed. From the conversation, it is painfully apparent they are not. Opinions aside, the absolute lack of insight and understanding of Feminism by both Laura and her guest, Deanne is beyond cringe. The ignorance is embarrassing. For educated and “woke” women to be soaking in Patriarchal concepts so thoroughly and to be so clueless about the pool in which they are swimming is astounding. Read a book. There are many on the subject. Despite thinking it doesn’t affect you, it affects the entire world. Patriarchy is at direct odds with Democracy and with the psychedelic experience because it is hierarchical in structure. Fortunately, now that these concepts live in the world and word, the genie isn’t going back in the bottle. So catch up. The rest of the podcast was OK but felt held back by the inability of the host to rise to the level of her guest. The “burning man speak” strikes me as disingenuous. For crying out loud, just talk like a normal person.

47: I feel conned as I would love to work w/ Laura Mae Northrup since as a survivor I fit her specialized niche. Laura doesn’t return phone calls though & shows greater interest in Instagram following, doing self promotion & writing her latest book. While host may mean well, psychedelic podcasts are of little relevance if people can’t access help IRL. I’ve attempted to reach out to many healers w/o success. There’s too much hype & little to no accountability in this space. I’m turned off & tuning out! 41: Fascinating conversation w/ Jamie Wheal though more spin & self promotion of burning man than substance. Wake me up when psychedelic field becomes legit.

I love this podcast more and more every time I listen to it. And some episodes I listen to multiple times. There’s always fascinating information and wisdom and humor and provocative questions and ideas. Laura’s interviewing skills are outstanding and she takes on the most important topics in this field these days. I’ve recommended this podcast to folks who are interested in leader ship and creativity and not necessarily psychedelics and they’ve also gotten so much out of it. It is also a gift to watch Laura’s development as a leader and I can’t wait to see where she takes us.

I first fell in love with Laura Dawn’s podcast when I heard one of the first episodes that had been recorded from a converted bus in Hawaii, with nature sounds all around! I’ve now listened to a number of Laura Dawn’s episodes and each one is a gem. Laura has guests across the spectrum from indigenous wisdom to psychedelic pioneers. Laura is also an exceptional communicator. When I first discovered her at the Mt Tam Psilocybin Summit, she didn’t quite fit it ~because she communicated so much better than any other presenter I saw. I knew there was something special about her way of being and so I found her podcast soon after. I’m so glad I did.

Laura Dawn has created something truly special with this podcast. She seamlessly weaves together many different topics within psychedelics, creativity, psychology, and various wisdom traditions.
