Kaos JimGood content, New Host NeededUsed to love the weekly Autoweek magazine and was excited for Quick Spin. However, Wesley Wren is such a turn off for me. He seems so insincere to me and not genuine like he’s trying to be something or someone he’s not. The up and down pitches of his voice just seem overly fake. C’mon Autoweek, find us a new host.

Dwells in InvernessFranken-Pod?Like your car selections and just listened to the Evoque episode. Good first-drive journalism from Tom, but am I the only one distracted by the “frankenbite” feel? Wesley’s host business sounds like it comes from a different podcast than Tom’s drive. Why do this? The result sounds like a cheesy audio mash-up trying to make a simple and fun road test pod sound like it has a host.

JpunzakMaserati Levante reviewDemographically, I may be one of one. I really enjoyed your review of the Maserati Lavante Trofeo because I own a Lavante Gran Lusso. Your review was very accurate in that there’s so much goodness in the Maserati with the Italian craftsmanship, Ferrari derived engine and it’s glorious sound, and just the right amount of class and performance. I bought the Maserati because I enjoy driving my Jeep Grand Cherokee so much, and like your reviewer, I knew they run on the same platform and use many of the same parts from FCA. I actually like that so many features function the same among both vehicles. It may not surprise you that my license plate on the Maserati reads “Italian cousin”.

NeoYokelNobody Does it Like Autoweek... Treasure ThemTo be honest, I have no idea what other listeners are looking for in an automotive podcast. Car Talk is a Mastodon, of course, but for those of us hoping to keep up with the industry, it's pretty much down to Matt Farah's The Smoking Tire and Autoweek's audio content, these days - both hosted by automotive journalists, but from complimenting ends of the car media spectrum. What I'm trying to say is... I need both of these perspectives to stay informed (and feel in touch) with what's going on. When the other Autoweek feed went silent a few months ago, I about had a heart attack. Without rambling on, I hope you'll trust me when I insist that legacy publications are absolutely essential. These guys are authorities on the industry, they don't take themselves too seriously, yet produce these shows professionally. I am alarmed by how unique this feed has become in the offering. Listen now.

M000$eNSX, 718GTS, C8Great reviews!!! Now my issue! I was raised in a GM family. My dad was GM thru and thru. Then, I started racing sports cars and lucked into a SCCA CP 914-6 followed by a 911 GTU in IMSA. I was quite lucky to find guys that would pay the bills and let me have the fun. Alas, that didn’t last so I went to Bikes and became the President of a Honda Motorcycle group. So now you see why listening to these three quick Spins leaves me needing to win a BIG $$$ lottery because I NEED all three!!!

In the tall weedsAutoweek is upping their gameI previously gave the old AW podcast two stars but they have done a complete about face with not just the regular podcast but this new Quick Spin concept as well. Quick Spin is a deeper, hand’s-on dive into a single vehicle augmented with “live” commentary. They have chosen some really great cars so far including the GTI, Wrangler and Miata to name a few. I’ve listened to every single one and look forward to many more. Bravo Autoweek!

JoePicsGTI ForeverThe review by Mark Vaughn of the VW GTI 7th generation conforms with my experience from first generation GTI. Really a fun vehicle, but not a race car. I’m waiting for 2022 when gen 8 is supposed to be generally available in the USA.

Danny KinneyPerfect lunch-time listenThe new short form format works out great for a quick snack while you eat lunch, yet without losing any of the detail of a full review. I’m excited to hear about loads of cars that I would otherwise never get to experience.

BTL1987A good start guys, yet keep refining.I agree the engine rev sound between segments needs cut or replaced. I find it annoying also, mostly because it’s sounds like a poser hot-rod. I like the quick short takes and driving along with reviewer. However, sometimes they repeat themselves saying things. I heard it first time.

Sr_CuadradoGood So Far With One ExceptionPodcast is good so far and gives a quick concise overview of the car being discussed/tested. I am taking 2 stars off because the engine revving sound between each segment is very irritating. I feel like it takes away from the car and I honestly find the sound obnoxious. I’ll continue to listen and will do my best to ignore the engine revving but I would strongly suggest you get rid of it.
