    Y’all are a gift
I am so thankful to know the Nagoski sisters exist, and I wish we lived down the street from each other. Thank you for making this thing along with so many other great things 💗.

Excellent perspective during a season of questioning whether your effort matters
This was sent to me by an informal mentor with both of us working in a field where we spend much of our time helping others to heal. This is a fresh perspective offering hope when it is scarce. Stimulating discussion of issues near and dear to my heart in the mental health field.

I’m a Feminist who left a cult. Love your channel.
Excellent content! I’m the author of the new release graphic novel CULT GIRLS (on Amazon & Barnes) by Natalie Grand. It’s a light hearted comedy, based on a true story of 4 women born, raised in the Jehovah’s Witness cult. If you are looking for an anti-cult activist special guest my Twitter is Natalie Grand.

    Alexithymia
I really appreciate the alexithymia series. As a late-diagnosed autistic woman who deals with alexithymia and poor interoception, some of your conversation and descriptions really resonate with me. I’m sharing the episodes with loved ones to help explain my experience. Thank you!

    Great content, but scattered
I love the Burnout book, so I know the content in this podcast is worthwhile. But sometimes the tangents and meandering conversations are annoying. Episode 58 only barely stayed on track because the guest kept steering the host back to the main point. Also, the audio quality is terrible, I had this on max volume and still had times where I could barely understand Amelia.

    Insightful
So excited for more on the topic of intuition/reclamation of body sensation. Pls introduce new language in these episodes because I felt such a need and interest

Sound and practical advice for women
Just found out about these AMAZING podcasts through CogDog Radio! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this podcast and am only sad to have found out so late! Still super-helpful! Practical and insightful
Order the book “Burnout.” Listen to these while you wait for the book to arrive. Then listen to these while you go for a walk or a run. This is particularly helpful for women, but men will benefit from listening too!

    Nailed it
My sister recommended the book Burnout to me and it was the most helpful thing I’ve read in years. Following the podcast has been immensely helpful in keeping the lessons front the book fresh in my mind, adapting them to ever changing stressful realities, and finding new ways to complete the stress cycle. Yay for sisters!

    Life changing
I wish I could hug these two amazing, intelligent, hilarious women. I have learned so much about myself from the human giver syndrome to attachments to trust cupcakes and why Turkeys can be a big deal. I can’t wait for more episodes!

    Perfect message for 2020
So grateful I found the book Burnout and now this witty, funny and desperately needed podcast. Thank you 🙏 For putting this out in the world @schulmanArt host of The Inspiration Place podcast

    Fabulous!
So happy I had this podcast in my “weekly habits toolkit” before 2020 took several turns for the worse. I’ve loved the witty conversations and reinforcement of principles taught in Burnout and Come As You Are. It has helped me a lot in thriving, not just surviving in 2020.

Full of practical information and healing humor
I loved the audiobook, Burnout! There is something beautiful and magical about the way these sisters explain the research behind best practices that support. I am stunned by their generosity. I am healed by their witty humor, authenticity, and vulnerability. If I had to choose to keep only one book, it would be Burnout. If I could only have one podcast series, it would be this treasure trove.

Love this - sharing this with my clients!
This podcast is smart, personable, evidenced based, applicable, and just everything we need right now to cope with distress. I am sharing this with as many friends and clients as will listen! As a therapist - I am so far inly into episode 3 but have already gotten so much reminders/refreshers as well as new information. It is not just psychology, it is history, it is exposure to spirituality and other ways of thinking, it is comedy, it is musical, and it is so much more! Thank you to the wonderful creators and participants of this show. I am grateful for this amazing resource!

    Can’t stop, won’t stop
I love this podcast. I can’t stop listening and talking about it. It’s a great companion to Burnout, helping the ideas sink into my mind and heart. The ideas, the dialogue, the perspectives, the songs! The Songs! So much goodness. I hope the Nagoskis never stop making this podcast. ❤️

    Amazing
This podcast is amazing! I am a teenager and I, sadly, have to deal with most of these problems. They put it in such a way that is easy to understand and easy to learn!

    Breath of fresh air!
I’ve learned so much about myself through these funny, intelligent and insightful sisters. And when they giggle together! Goodness, I am giggling with them. They are a breath of fresh air!

    Brilliant
I love this podcast. Purchased the Burnout book as well written by the podcast hosts and love it. I really needed to learn this.

    So Essential!
I love listening to the hosts banter and talk, but what they are saying is SO BIG! I have listened to the episodes twice, just because I want to absorb all their points.

    Being seen
I’m only 3 episodes in and I feel like I am having a mirror held up in front of me! (It’s a good thing, I swear!) Highly recommend!

    Thanks for the Liberation
You have little nuggets all the time that truly heal me. “The cure to burnout is not self care; it’s everybody caring for each other.”

    Such a great resource
Who knew this year would be so hard? So glad to have this podcast to review. I’ve listened to some episodes more than once to review the important info.
  • Dusty shell
    Well done
Their information is evidence-based and recommended actions are practical . When they or explaining things rather than giving advice, it’s information that hits home. Which is nice
  • mommycat
Love it. Love the music too.
I have listened to the podcasts from the start through The Abyss, plus How to Numbing. All have been so helpful and affirming! The Abyss describes that particular social pressure perfectly. I'm looking forward to listening to the rest.

    So excited for this podcast!
I have been giving both Burnout and Come as You Are as gifts. I discovered Emily on “Speaking of Sex” and just heard about this podcast on another one. I see I’m 43 episodes behind but I will now binge, enjoy and catch up! Huge thanks to you both! New hotness squared!

Like chatting with an old friend
If you need practical advice on how to retrain your brain to live your best life Amelia and Emily are here to help. Cheaper than therapy and twice as funny. (Please note a good therapist is life changing and worth every penny). Thank you Emily and Amelia!

    Love this 💕
I am originally from Ukraine, and I have a beautiful accents. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in teaching English. I speak English, Ukrainian, Russian and French. I also have a Bachelor in Nursing, and I work as a registered nurse. People ask about my accent, and my country of origin every single time, when I get in contact with any person. I was going to grad school, and my “white American professor”mentioned several times that she could not understand me, and lowered my grades many times. In my 16 years being in the US, she was the only one who could not understand me. If I could tell my professor an advice, I would ask her to learn how to actively listen to people. I love your podcasts 💕

    So Helpful!
I always feel calmer after listening to one of these episodes, and I hope they continue in some form after the election. It’s comforting to know I’m not alone.

    Simply, concise, insightful, actionable
The sisters Nagoski certainly know how to make information accessible and sticky! I binge listened to all of the available episodes and was struck by how helpful, actionable, and understandable it all was. It made me think, and feel deeply. Most self-help, therapy type podcasts leave me wondering, “but how” in response to the somewhat cliche suggestions to love myself and whatnot. This one helps you see the science behind the woo and gives you clear steps you can take. I love the unapologetically feminist/female take that is still accessible to everyone. I loved it so much that I promptly bought Emily’s romance novel and I’m in love with that, too!

    This podcast is transformative
I’m a happiness scholar and I treasure the groundbreaking work of Drs Emily and Amelia Nagoski. I share their book (Burnout) and podcast with other scholars and professionals searching to unlock their stress cycle. The book was so transformative that I was so happy to see that they created a podcast. These two scholars will transform your life.

    Turkey Day Discussions
My wife and I ( already fans of the book) listened to (almost) all of the episodes on the way to and from our Thanksgiving activities. Great conversations were had and we learned a lot.

    Such a Necessary Podcast!
I am 1,000% here for anything the Nagoskis do. They are relatable, funny, genuine, smart, and caring. This podcast breaks down the most important parts of their groundbreaking (and, for me, utterly life-changing) book Burnout. This is an important, fun, and listenable podcast for women and men who want to take better care of themselves and others, and who care about the world and making it a better place. I can’t wait for new episodes!
