Pilotswife94ClarityThank you Colleen & Nikki for the recent episode on flesh vs spirit. I think growing up in the SDA cult, I could never grasp the “surrender” concept. I’ve tried so hard to detach from the “works” based thought process. It may sound easy to ppl who have only learned the true gospel. But trying to “unlearn” the false teachings we had pounded into our heads, is not easy. I really appreciate the straight fwd way the two of you explain God Word in TRUTH! Thanks so much!

TomasdooleyUnleash the Lion!Colleen and Nikki put scripture so simply! They just open the Word and let it speak for itself and it’s powerful to break strongholds of adventism by the truth of His Word!!
-
linzdelGood insightNikki and Colleen were the first who helped me on my journey out of Adventism.

Ratstar0000567432Colleen and Nikki are so inspiring!I look forward to going through the Bible every week with these two!! I love hearing about the contrasts they share on the Adventist world views and the Christian true gospel world-view! Amen! Former Adventist or not you will be fed the word and led to Christ Jesus! Love you both!

Drstorm79Wow! Such great souls sharing TRUTH!I think any denomination that puts any emphasis on anything other than the Bible is so sad. So many souls are searching for answers that can be found in the scriptures. Not scripture + (prophets) These ladies help break down Adventist beliefs so well and point out their false teachings. This podcast will answer any questions one wondering if they’re in one of these False teaching churches. We can have confidence knowing that we have more than enough in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

CC is unhappyI’m a Christian now!I was a 3rd generation SDA. I always loathed EGW growing up because of the inconsistency with which my parents applied her writings to our lives. The dos and don’ts were applied only as they saw fit. Some things we had to adhere to emphatically, while others not so much. It was a religion I grew weary of many years ago. While I quit going to church for a very long time I still considered myself an SDA. I finally decided I needed to start getting my heart right and wanted to start studying my Bible again and ultimately start going back to church. After talking to my daughter about the large amount of plagiarism that EGW had done I knew I had to learn more. I am so thankful that my daughter directed me to your podcasts as I was studying my way out of adventism. I started listening to your podcasts in 2020 during Covid. I actually went back to episode 1 and binge listened until I caught up. There are so many things I have had to unpack about what I thought I knew to be true and your podcasts have helped me through this so much! I finally made the last and final step this past June when I sent a letter to the Georgia Cumberland Conference office asking them to pull my name from their membership. That was amazingly easy! Within 2 weeks I had a response confirming that they had removed my name. Thank you! thank you! thank you!

Stout&Amber_gracedI have just finished episode 219 on revelation 5:1-14. I was waiting to review this podcast when I had caught up with your latest episode. But my heart is too full to wait. Studying revelation at this time, surely the “last days” is powerfully relevant. If I was still an Adventist I would be terrified right now. But, now as a born-again Christian, I listen to your tutorials and am in awe and anticipation. Following your study of scripture as you scrub off the stubborn layers of Adventism, I emerge with clarity and lightness. Thank you Colleen and Nikki for your dedication to Christ alone, faith alone and scripture alone. I appreciate your sharing the gospel at the end of every episode. I pray that all will simply reach out and accept this amazing gift of salvation.

CamthebamSaved by GraceThis podcast is my favorite podcast of all time. I can't even begin to describe the relief, joy, and peace that I have found listening to these extremely intelligent ladies give us the word of God, with sound expository reading of the Bible. I grew up Seventh-day Adventist, and didn't even realize how agnostic and depressed I had become until I realized that I really wasn't a Christian at all due to the muddled teachings of Adventism and Ellen White. Not only is the culture damaging but the theology is aberrant. Praise God for his infallible truth, he does not trick us or lie to us! May God bless Colleen and Nikki and continue to bless others through their ministry.

Spring PeriwinkleConsistently insightful thought provoking podcastA wonderfully consistent teaching ministry helping unpack Seventh-Day Adventist doctrines in light of Scriptural truths. Contrasting toxic SDA doctrines with refreshing Biblical insights such as the Trinity, the New Covenant, the sufficiency of Christ’s atonement, etc. An absolutely unparalleled help for those of us navigating our way out of Adventism! Would highly recommend this podcast!

SdlaocHelped me heal from Spiritual TraumaI was never a member but I went to SDA school for 10 years. The whole time I thought that SDA was Christian but with some additional “insight”. As I grew in my faith as an adult I realized the Bible did not align with many of their teachings. Which are “interpretations” solely from their “profit” Ellen White. To the point where I was confused with what the truth of the Bible really was. By the grace of God, the lies I had subtly believed were revealed to me and I am on a path towards the renewal of my mind, based solely on the holy word of God, through the Holy Spirit. Thanks to this podcast they have given me language to biblical truths which I had sever dissonance around. Thank you God for this ministry.

The Seeking DiscipleGreat Information on SDAThankfully I was not raised SDA and have never even been to one of their churches. However, I’ve encountered their members over the years doing evangelism on the streets and such and couldn’t put my finger on why it seemed they weren’t saved. I had always thought SDA were Christians but they just worshipped together on Saturday. How wrong I was. It wasn’t till I had a co worker who was SDA that I begin to learn how off base they are. He is a nice guy but he was very works righteousness and had no concept of justification by faith alone. His confidence wasn’t in Christ but in his works and his “keeping the law,” especially the Sabbath. So I begin to research the SDA to evangelize this guy. I’m thankful for this podcast because I’ve learned so much. So enjoy learning about SDA beliefs and how wrong they are. I’m so grateful that Jesus is my eternal salvation and hope and His blood washed away all my sins by His grace. This podcast has reinforced my faith in Christ alone.

SimpleehappyReveals so many things I have to unlearn!I wanted to write a review for a long time now, but I wasn’t sure how to express how much I appreciated this podcast. I left Adventism 7 years ago, but there are still so many unbiblical teachings that I believed that I didn’t realize were unbiblical! The conversations and topics on this podcast have really helped me to dive deeper into the Word of God to search truth on topics that I had blindly accepted through unbiblical Adventist teaching. I highly recommend this podcast. I’m so thankful for this gospel centered podcast and these two wonderful, loving, and godly women sharing their experiences and Biblical truths. Thank you Colleen and Nikki!

Dave$82Love your podcastsAs a second generation Adventist questioning why what I was taught in school and heard in church was not the same as what I read in the Bible, I have really loved your podcasts. The podcasts have helped me to have faith in the Bible and not so called scholars. Thank you so much and may God bless you in all your work.

CymruClanVery InformativeAs a former Adventist, these podcasts are very informative and well done. I appreciate the spirit of concern and care woven into the dialogue … a must listen for anyone, Adventist or not, who have questions about the fundamental beliefs and practices of the Adventist organization.
-
Missy8596837Good for deconstruction from AdventismThis podcast is so helpful in deconstructing from Adventism. However, they still subscribe to a non-denominational fundamentalism, which is still an inaccurate religion. Fundamentalism is toxic to the real message of Christ. They also sound fairly rude and contemptuous in most podcasts, which while understandable when you grow up in such a false religion, is still uncalled for when God calls us to love.
-
MamaakanshaRachwlA good starting place, but…There is a lot of good information here and I think this is a good place to start on a journey of reconstructing religion, but Colleen and Nikki’s arguments are presented condescendingly and often with the same fallacies they criticize Adventism for. I often found it hard to follow the evidence for their beliefs. I would recommend their Bible studies as a way to challenge your theology, but would encourage you to seek more academic and unbiased sources - and obviously the discernment and counsel of God above all - for some of these tougher issues on your way out of toxic religion. This podcast offers a fundamentalist, non-affirming and at times naive view of Christianity that comes close to paralleling the exact same ideology we want to leave behind.
-
Neila mGood job -Love your podcast - just finding out everything I wondered about - thank u for all this great information- helps me a lot -

ROMANS 1:16-17Excellent podcastThank you so much for doing these podcasts, I left SDA nearly 2 years ago after realizing Ellen White was a false prophet. I am very grateful to have found your podcast last fall. I have learned so much by listening, and am grateful for the work you have put into clarifying the many layers of deception in SDA and contrasting it with solid biblical truth. I was a 4th generation on both sides of my family and this podcast has provided much needed support through this journey.
-
JOJOGQMost Played Podcast!!!This podcast has been the most helpful resource I’ve found during my transition from Adventism to the Gospel. A must listen!
-
Jesus Loves Us All.So much clarification!!!Thank you for helping me understand what creates confusion in relationships between Christians and SDA. Your teaching about the subtle and not so subtle distortions of this belief system has given me much needed insight!! I pray for you, your ministry and those who are still caught in Adventism.
-
Jan 1948Wonderful PodcastsThank you SO much for the work you put into this!

h3llohulaAbsolutely life changingI was raised Adventist for 26 years. And this year my husband finally got BORN AGAIN. He had believed but he never actually became a born again believer. Total 180. We started to have bible studies and realized just from scripture how much contradiction Adventist views and teachings contradicted the Bible plainly. This podcast has truly helped me heal from religious subconscious chains that I didn’t know I still had; it’s just been such an amazing gift to me. Nikki and Colleen are lighted hearted, fun to listen to, but they speak very candidly and boldly about biblical truth. 5/5 stars for sure!!!
-
sarahbellmeowHomophobic - don’t waste your timeDon’t waste your time on this podcast. I gave it a fair shot and just couldn’t after hearing the subtle homophobia and sexism in every episode. Pass y’all. These women are unfortunately still some wild SDA types in terms of their thinking and judgment of others.
-
lisaj.08So much honestySo much honesty. A must listen for questionable new believers, questionable adventists, and genuinely intellectual believers. I was in this faith for about 10 years and I was like what the heck did I get myself into. The stewardship podcast was phenomenal.
-
Living 2Cor5:21Equipped & EncouragedI look forward to Tuesdays and and new episode. Especially enjoying the series on SDAs fundamental beliefs, as I’m interacting with a family member 30+ years in SDA. Thank you for keeping it biblical, personal, and focused. Soli Deo Gloria!
-
jamesb378Very helpfulColeen and Nikki have been helpful to me by how they explain and communicate passages from the Bible.

HappyLaundryUser1Excellent resource!!!Great ladies who truly love the Lord. I take the time to do my own research in regards to the comments they provide from Ellen G. White, so far I have not found any errors from Colleen and Nikki’s comments. I was completely amazed by how much you can learn from these two honest ladies (e.g., EGW’s racists comments and “the prophet” speaking against interracial marriages - see The Southern Work, p 15, para 2). I read a very dishonest review by “Karl73apple”, I truly doubt this individual has been listening to this podcast for +1 year and dare to say such nonsense. Colleen and Nikki, please keep up with this amazing job and thank you for all you do.
-
Karl73appleFalse informationI’ve been listening for a year now. Nothing these ladies said made any sense. They make up a lot of lies about Adventist. Very sad.
-
Pancakes13_Great podcast!Best review I can give a podcast...accurate, insightful, and most of all...beautiful...well done!
-
asdflkj;Cuts right through Lies!!!I never questioned Adventist doctrine or theology even though something just didn’t feel quite right. I’m a 3 Generation SDA and went to their schools through HS. After reading SDA renounced by D.M. Canright my life was changed forever but I still had a lifetime of baggage, beliefs and doctrines to sort out even though I didn’t know it at the time. Every single one of these podcasts have helped me identify exactly what the lies are and replace it with the truth of scripture. I have completely and confidently rejected their prophet and have completely and confidently accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior! I LOVE This podcast am so thankful for it. Thank you Coleen and Nikki.
-
TamlentooUplifting conversationsI have zero experience with Adventists but I’ve learned a lot from these podcasts. I came out of curiosity and stayed because of the sweet spirits of the people & the uplifting conversations.
-
standingontruthThank you! These podcasts are a life line for me. I am so grateful to God for bringing me out of the darkness of adventism and i have found a wonderful church to attend, but i have no one who understands where i’m coming from. I have spoken with several evangelical pastors and they are really surprised to learn all of our doctrines and really don't know what to do with me. Lol! Thank you for helping me to continue my study of the word and to understand all of the issues we struggle with! Truly truly grateful!!!

fry chickOnward to TruthI am an institutionalized person. I ate, drank, and worshiped the Adventist life since childhood. With my new found truth I only aim to move on. Forward in Faith and Truth!! Nikki and Colleen have helped me with my tangled past in this religious organization sharing pure bible truth. Sharing their histories and their current lives in Christ. I know now My God wants me preserved were before I was preparing to give myself over to a nonbeliever life. Please pray for me as I begin to create a letter to remove my membership. God knows my next steps and I’m leaning on Him for his clear direction. Thank you - Gods Blessings

8264829746478A treasure!I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a question or wanted to know more about something only to open up this podcast and click on a random episode only to find that it gives me new insight on that very specific subject! God is using this podcast to bring his chosen out of darkness. I thank God for Colleen and Nikki and their openness and vulnerability. Each episode is a treasure and I am savoring each one!

Cuoah Bah!Jesus is my sabbath rest!Born and raised into SDA. Left the church about 5 years ago, thank you for a place were I can relate to you and your messages so well. Thank you for your ministry, which is helping me to grow in the true meaning of the sabbath, that is a rest that comes when we believe that Jesus accepts us by faith through grace alone, resting from our works to save ourselves. FAF is helping both me and my brother grow into the beauty, truth and rest with assurance of our Salvation the true gospel brings outside of EGW and Adventisms half truths and torture of Scripture.
-
derdle aka DarrelSalve on our woundsOne year out of Adventism and there is a void where the church once was. We found a wonderful place to worship each Lords Day but there was still something missing. This podcast is like salve on our Adventist wounds. Thanks so much.

Hiding out in TexasReprogrammingThird generation SDA reared in a strict Adventist home. 30 years ago I discovered EG White was a fraud, stopped attending church, entered the stages of grief and stalled out at anger. Stayed stuck in anger for several decades. As a mental health professional the depth of the brainwashing I had experienced growing up Adventist became all too clear. In an effort to understand the real Bible I started studying in a program run by Messianic Jews. The study courses helped a great deal but I needed more. Many times driving to work I prayed to God to guide me to a Christian deprogrammer who understood the false doctrine of the SDA church. I knew I was allowing anger to hold me hostage and I desperately needed help. Enter COVID-19 and a member of our household tested positive so I quarantined myself. My wife listens to podcasts, but I had never paid much attention to them. With time on my hands and some serious nudging from the Holy Spirit I decided to see if anyone was podcasting about leaving Adventism. Enter Former Adventist Nikki & Colleen and their podcast. De- and Re- programming currently in progress. The anger has turned to sadness, the sadness has been replaced with joy and hope once again. God bless you both, through your ministry I have found peace and a Christianity that makes perfect sense.
-
Applestar81One hand clapping..While I appreciate their views, I was hoping that the format was of two opposing view points, where two points would be discussed, and a dialogue would ensue.. unfortunately it’s just two people with an Adventist’s axe to grind..
-
New Beliver APOBinge Worthy! These women discuss topics I never questioned while in Adventism and haven’t thought about since leaving. Especially the Investigative Judgement! (Which is so untrue). This podcast inspires critical thinking and is a God send!
-
Vivian VillarrealSDA exposed!!I am hooked on this podcast! I feel like I’m eavesdropping in Colleen and Nikki’s conversation about being a former Adventist. They are so comfortable and authentic about what it means to come out of Adventism yet very informative about distinctive Adventist doctrines. I had been an Adventist for so long that when I left the church it was hard to distinguish what was actually in the Bible and not. I know that sounds weird... but for those who have grown up with Ellen G White’s teachings, they were like scripture to me. If you are a recovering SDA, this is the podcast for you!!
-
Junior Ganymede ClubHighly recommendAnyone with doubts or concerns about Adventist theology should dive into this podcast.
-
Lakeside JewellGreat informationI enjoy the breakdown of specific doctrines of Seventh Day Adventism. These podcasts give clarity of the differences between Adventism and Biblical Christianity.
-
Bimo231The best PodcastThank you for all the staff, this podcast is in the top of the chart. Keep the work for Christ Be Blessed.
-
Sad former subscriberThank you Nikki and Colleen!Your generous guidance as you unpack the crucial thread of truth that runs through Scripture pointing to our Savior Jesus and contrast it with the thread of misinformation and skewed theology that is Seventh Day Adventistism is such a gift! It helps so much to hear it side by side, compared and contrasted. I am ever surprised when my programming from the SDA education system still gets triggered even though I have been a Christian for over 30 years. I need to hear expository Biblical truth presented with the solid hermeneutic you present. I joyfully worship in Spirit and Truth when I have spent time with you. Again, thank you
-
2Bfreeis worthitThis podcast is so helpful! I love it!I love that Colleen and Nikki are willing to dive in to so many topics and areas of concern that are unique to former Seventh-day Adventists. I love listening to their journey out of Adventism and into Christianity. I love their hearts and their cheerful, conversational presentation. This podcast has helped me so much in my own journey into Christianity— it is a long process that requires lots of shedding of old perceptions & assumptions, and replacing with solid Biblical truth. This podcast helps with both.
-
Thrift store queenMy favorite podcastI’m a former Adventist and I am soaking up each and every podcast Colleen and Nikki put out. The topics are great and it’s good to hear truth for a change instead of what we were used to as Adventist’s. I highly recommend this podcast channel.
-
Runnergirl1988Powerful podcast! This podcast has truly helped me as I navigate my way out of Seventh Day Adventism. While I have not attended their church for years, the doctrines drilled into me since a tiny child have never left me, and I only recently began investigating what the Bible actually says. This podcast has been such a fantastic encouragement to me as I process my “church trauma”. The general public does not understand the insidious underlying teachings of this seemingly quirky but “harmless” denomination. The Seventh Day Adventist church isn’t just a Christian denomination that goes to church on Saturday-it teaches a totally different gospel based on the teachings of a false prophet. Thank you to this podcast and ministry for all they do!
-
tuckerrullestadLacks theological accuracy.I enjoy listening to the open conversation, but I really find that the theological ideas used to debunk Adventist theology are very poorly argued. It seems to me that you don’t really understand Adventist theology very well. No disrespect intended, but I think you may struggle with the hypocrisy and legalism within adventism more than the actual theology. Throw out Ellen White completely and the theology can still very easily be supported by scripture.
-
Daily addiction daily funLove this PODcastLove Colleen and Nicki’s heart to speak truth grounded in scripture and to lovingly bring light to deception. Jesus + Nothing = everything. Thank you to your dedication to helping those of us who need freedom from the doctrine imbedded in us. Thank you showing through scripture the real Jesus and the real gospel.
