FragiumilyExactly what I’ve been needingSo grateful to God for leading my to this resource. They answer so many questions I have as a parent from a sound biblical perspective. But the thing that sets Connected Families apart is that they take neuroscience into account and this is so key for me. We need to parent in a way that recognizes we are dealing with underdeveloped frontal lobes and underdeveloped means of nervous system regulation. Thankful to this group for their work.

Beks MitchellWonderful!Simply refreshing every time. Connected Families has completely changed the trajectory of our family. Beyond thankful.

mjbowdeygarcia“My child is not my report card!”This phrase has come up a few times from y’all when I needed to hear it. Thank you for this truth! Many, many episodes of your Truth-filled podcast have lifted my spirits and encouraged my heart. More than once I’ve been moved to tears because of feeling no longer alone hearing of a family with a similar struggle. Your magnet in on my fridge and sticker is on my waterbottle.

JustamommadoingherbestLove this contentI come to Connected Families podcasts over and over again - have found every message to have at least one thing to take away or consider as I navigate the challenges of parenting and other relationships. KWasilThe Holy Spirit Led Me to This Podcast!I can’t begin to describe how amazing this group is and how much they’ve helped me in just a few weeks! The Holy Spirit led me to this podcast and I won’t look back. I’ve sent episodes to friends and family who are struggling as parents. I paid hundred for a parenting program that fizzled out fast. This is totally different. I think the element missing in the other one was that it wasn’t God-centered. God gave us our vocations as parents, so it makes total sense reflecting on scripture and glorifying God thru positive connections with our children. I’ve laughed, cried and enjoyed this group so much! Thank you for the practical ideas and tips - it resonates and comes to mind when I’m in the thick of my days with 3 young kiddos! God bless!

whateverislovely89Bad theologyLove the positive connected families idea….but some of what they say is not true theology. Always make sure to check that anything you listen to lines up with scripture and what the actual Bible says.

fightforjoyThe Best Parenting Podcast! So much grace comes through the people who do this podcast. They seek to reflect the gentle and lowly Christ while being super practical to start shifting your parenting from behavior modification to instilling wisdom so that your kids see the glory of God. Also, the role plays are not only fun and great to imitate, they have the ability to be a mirror with how our parenting can be so ugly, but able to change so quickly with a heart shift and a willingness to ask a thoughtful question. Love these people. :)

jmsruppAn answer to prayerWe are really struggling in our home with parenting philosophies from our Christian bringing that insisted we have control in our home by controlling our kids behaviors. The more we try to get control the worse everything got. We were truly struggling because we knew there was more going on in our home and simply trying to control behaviors wasn’t going to get to the root of our problem. We were crying out to God for help Connected Families was the answer. I listen to this podcast all the time in my car when I’m driving around town. I will re-listen to the podcast over and over to keep the wisdom of the framework in my head.

Playfully Faithful ParentingLOVE, LOVE, LOVE!I absolutely adore Connected Families and their podcast. The team is so authentic in their work and truly invite parents to grow closer to Christ while learning better ways to connect with their kids and coach them into the people God created them to be. The tools and tips are theologically sound and are also backed by neuroscience. It is so practical and relatable. Thank you for all that you do!

WhitneyWeaverThis is our favoriteConnected families has been very influential in our parenting. We have four kids, two of which are adopted, and connected families has provided a different way of parenting that helps us connect with everyone. We so appreciate that it is rooted in scripture and supported with brain science! It’s so helpful and will really be a tool that God uses to transform your relationship with your kids. But just a warning, it’s hard, but worth it.

EVin1603Speaking to the heart of a professionalAs a social worker in the foster care world, I have so much head knowledge about attachment and connection. I teach it all the time to families. I love this podcast because it pulls in my faith to how God designed us for connection and reminds me this is deeper than trauma or sin, this is spiritual and that matters too.

journeywithloveThe Best Parenting ResourceConnected Families is my number one resource for parenting. My husband and I have grown so much from this ministry and all of the resources they provide. The book, online classes, one on one coaching and this podcast have given us the tools we need to parent with love, grace and consistency. Having the framework to filter every situation through has been an absolute game changer. Not only has it helped us get on the same page with parenting but it has equipped us to disciple our three boys and encourage them in their character and faith. We are a closer family because of Jim and Lynn. This podcast is such a helpful way to continue on our path and gives us the reminders and nudges we need to thrive in parenting through the teen years. We are so very grateful for connected families!

Jennifer S: Not So Perfect PotGrace in ActionConnected Families continues to be a grace-laying game-changer in our family. It’s been years since we were first introduced to their four pillars of grace-filled connections, with our kids and with one another. And yet, Jim and Lynn’s wisdom is fresh, practical and helpful for the ordinary of our every day. Our sons are now approaching their teen years, but what we began to learn through Connected Families when they were preschoolers has prepared us well for a new season of often-times struggling to connect with our kids through God’s Grace. Time with Connected Families will be well-spent.

askdhdnSo helpful!I just can’t say enough about how helpful all the materials have been from connected families! From the book, to the online course, the coaching and these podcasts. They have helped our family with our intense, determined and challenging boy in so many ways. Thank you for your helpful faith filled insights!

Wedded bliss 2014Changed Parenting, Peaceful HomeJim & Lynn Jackson’s book, along with these podcasts, has changed the way I parent and the way my husband parents. One podcast, and my husband did a 180, he took control of his emotions, dealt with our very-sensitive son who does not respond well to “traditional” discipline, and I have seen their relationship flourish. I have look inside my own parenting preconceptions and have gone from a very angry mother to a peaceful mother. It is not perfect, but we both have come a LONG ways, thanks to the Jackson’s! I cannot praise them and their materials and resources enough!

HHSoaringDiscipline AND connection. The title doesn’t lie.I have been getting their blog for years and the podcast is another excellent resource helping me be the parent I want to be. We have completed the online family course and it’s worth every penny. You can come back to it forever and it is just so good.
-
jmalcsWonderful resource!I have benefited so much as a mom of three young boys from connected families. My husband and I learned so much from the online course “discipline that connects” and now these podcasts help remind me of the truth I want to live out. They are short so I can listen to them easily! They are foundational and super practical. I highly recommend everything and anything from connected families !
-
Gills4Fantastic podcast.I struggled with having boundaries with my kids. In fact I still do, but I am much more consistent. Progress is being made. Connected Families has been instrumental in this. I’ve read dozens of books, but nothing has been as helpful as Connected Families podcasts and their Discipline That Connects course.

Chrystal LynnHealing and Refreshing! This podcast and resources online has given more depth to my understanding of God’s love for me. It has not only helped give me insights, practical tools and ways how to show Gods grace and lead my children but I have found it to be helpful in the way I communicate with my husband, and others. So grateful!

Rube guyTopic Idea - How to encourage other parentsMy wife and I have loved your podcast and written materials and seen great results with our 3 and 5 year old. I have a 4 year old nephew with some bad behavior habits and we’ve found the framework to be effective when we are watching him. However, his parents take more of a fire and brimstone approach with lots of big threats. We are sensitive to “telling them how to parent” because we don’t like it when others tell us how to parent. What are some ways we can gently encourage them to adopt the framework in their parenting?

BluespeckkikoMissing youI have been really enjoying your podcast! Please keep it coming I miss having your valuable information.

JtptptGet engaged with Connected Families and STOP the family struggle! It is so helpful to have continued access to Jim & Lynne Jackson and keep their messages running through my head through this podcast. My husband and I are in their online course and it is truly changing how we parent and connect with our kids now 11 & 13. But you have to do the work through the various offerings hey mention in their podcast! Listening is so helpful in addition to learning and practicing all the grace-filled steps and strategies they are helping us with!

SAHMSMWhat I have been looking for for years...I'm a mom of 4 kiddos (Age range 1-10). I have always been fond of gentle parenting but have had a hard time finding gentle parenting resources with a Biblical Base. Connected Families is exactly what I've been looking for. Jim and Lynne have been gifted heavenly wisdom to help parents and kids to have a thriving, life giving, full of Christ's love relationship. My life and my kids life will be forever changed because of their influence and insight. So thankful for their ministry and I hope they continue to produce such wonderful resources.
-
Colleen SchanzAppreciate the role playI really appreciate how in the role playing you did on the “what to do when me child tells me “I hate you”, you included Jim continuing to talk or interrupting Lynn when she was talking because that’s a huge struggle with my boys. I’d also love some more insight into that. I’m assuming it’s because they aren’t feeling listened to but even when I stop and listen and acknowledge what they say and then try to move forward they often go back to interrupting, especially when they can’t get what they want.
-
LorilovesmotheringWise advice for all parentsThank you for these very helpful podcasts. I think all parents will benefit from hearing what Connected Families has to say about parenting challenges.
-
RedSweater092So helpful!I love the practical topics and the way each one is approached. The “what do I do when?” episodes at the beginning all start with a quick answer in case you’re short on time, but then they dive deep into the ways to change your whole frame of mind to become a gentler, more connected parent. I always come away feeling empowered.
-
GraceEllenOliverThis is life changingSeriously. Just listen.
-
MamaLearningGreat program! This one is a keeper. Practical parenting support that comes from a basis of child development, neuroscience, and Christian faith. It’s not been the easiest to find Christian parenting information that is up to date understanding child brain development and how it affects behavior.

chenrycnmTerrific resource for Christian parentsPractical wisdom for parenting, great new podcast! It’s on my must-listen list every week. I love the Connected Families 4 core messages to give our children: You are safe with me, You are loved no matter what, You are called and capable, and You are responsible for your actions. They do a great job in this podcast translating those messages for different situations. They really “get it!” Keep up the good work!
-
