I really really love this group, they make me laugh so hard!! I was really hating my daily commute to and from work but now listening to these guys on my drives I think “well at least I can listen to more Halfway to Heroes!” I don’t dread commuting anymore because this podcast makes me laugh and scratches my itch for more D&D. I’m almost done with the first season and I’m on the edge of my seat for how it’s all gonna go down!! I highly recommend giving these guys a listen: don’t just turn it off right away if you think it’s boring at first- it gets hilarious & the story gets intense! I’m super invested in the season 1 story. Just listen & laugh!! Thanks for livening up my drives, guys!! You make me laugh daily! :) 🐉🎲

Was a little hesitant to be disappointed by another D&D podcast but this one has come to grow on me, the player chemistry is the same as my own D&D party and the jokes keep coming and the plot is very new and original, also I can’t help but picture Clyde as Luke combs

I enjoy their style, they are fun to listen to and their DND commentary is very funny!

Currently listening to campaign one. This group is hilarious and engaging. It’s really made my commutes far more entertaining. On a side note, HeadMaster Wake and I have the same birthday!

I am finally leaving my review as I just caught up to the latest episode!! I absolutely love this show and am currently re-listening to it waiting for a new episode as well as some other shows on the network. This show has single handedly rekindled my interest in D&D and the cast is very funny and likable. 100/10 and would recommend to anyone new to D&D and D&D veterans. Adam is a fantastic DM and the crew has great chemistry and whether you’re in season 1 with the refundables or in season 2 with the Gooch (Goose) Gang there are plenty of laughs and entertainment to go around

I really don’t like listening to a lot of DND podcasts because they laugh way too much at stupid stuff. This is a lot more balanced but still such a great story line. They stay on track with the story line. I recommend for sure!

It’s amazing The interaction is great and it’s one of the best podcasts I’ve ever heard

I stumbled upon this based on my listening history, gave it my normal 10 episode trial and never looked back. Best interaction between players and GM on any D&D podcast I’ve ever listened to, unique character voices which is nice and between laughing so hard my sides hurt and pacing around my office as the story developed… If you haven’t given this show a chance, you’re missing out.

I am on Ep. 29 and enjoying every minute. I loved the entrance interviews. Now I know why Headmaster Wake was so keen on contacting Clyde ever morning.

This has been a really fun podcast to listen to - there’s a good balance of gameplay and narrative. The characters are well-developed and easy to tell apart without being stereotypes. If you’re looking for an actual-play D&D podcast, Halfway to Heroes is a great choice.

This is an amazing dungeon and dragons podcast for casual listeners who enjoy a fun comedic players that don’t take themselves to seriously. 100% recommend!

These guys are exactly the type of players I’ve been looking for for a long time! The character immersion is very good. They have different voices and personalities for their characters and NPCs. I’ve binged all of the seasons.. twice. And I’m a hard critic of podcasts. Good the episodes coming!

Only seen episode one, but I CANNOT wait to see what happens next! I play a tortle artificer so I can really relate to Ubo, and I really love the group dynamic. So funny!

Recently I’ve been getting into D&D as a dungeon master and needed a podcast to assist me in learning the game. Not only has this podcast been helpful but very entertaining. I joined to discord and am thinking about listening to One-Shot Onslaught. Can’t wait for more!

I have never played D&D before, I’ve always wanted too, this podcast is amazing and makes me want to play even more! The cast is funny and clever. I can not wait for more you guys rock keep on keepin on!

I’ve been bingeing this at work, it’s a great story so far and I love all the characters. Thanks for making my day go by pretty fast!

Heard about this podcast from their other feed, One-Shot Onslaught, and only into the first 5 episodes and I am hooked. Love the homebrew story that the DM has setup for this group and the characters are histarical. I love how the players try to come up with voices for thier characters but stumble from time to time to remember what the voice was. (I do the same thing and constantly flip flop on what the voice is supposed to be.)

Halfway to Heroes does not leave you half satisfied. The original story, entertaining characters, and expert story crafting are enough to keep me hooked. But on top of that, they have an awesome discord channel and online streams too. This podcast rocks.

This is an amazing story. And the homebrew world makes me jump right in and want to explore right alongside them!

Great actual play podcast. Excellent DM and sound quality, with Fun characters and story. I binged all 16 episodes in one weekend and now have to wait two weeks for the next episode! I love the story summary at the start of each show and the clear labeling of each story arc. Keep up the great work!

Some of the funniest people I have ever heard very entertaining definitely a must listen

This is a great podcast, original story, and a cast with great chemistry. The DM does a great job taking the input from the players and setting up easy to visualize scenes. It’s worth your time to listen!

Reasons to listen to this podcasts from Matt Kuehl of the Detentions and Dragons Podcast: -Adam DeWees is a charismatic DM that brings life and fun to this new campaign. -The players have a strong shared chemistry and contribute to the rich narrative. -Good audio and quality production values. -I have listened to every episode and haven't been attacked by tigers so it could be a good tiger repellant.

Halfway to Heroes has an awesome group of people playing in an interesting setting! I enjoy all the characters and the unique setting

Can hear the group dynamic between them and it really drives home when listening how much fun they are having. It sounds great and glad I checked this one out.

Even tho I don’t have much time this is the perfect because it is relatively short and it is extremely funny and I am look foreword to episode 4 and 5

There are a couple of very important things that an AP podcast needs to have: Good group dynamics - Absolutely amazing, they goof around and work together well. Sound quality - A+ right out of the gate! Good story hook - An original take that I am very interested to see where it goes. The perfect mix of gameplay, general nonsense and specific nonsense. The pacing is good and they dont't take themselves too seriously. They sound like they are having a great time. Well done fellas.

Devan here from Lawful Stupid dnd Podcast. There aren’t many other dnd podcast that I’m able to give my attention to. There just so many. But Halway to Heroes is certainly one I enjoy. I loved the boys in One Shot Onslaught and knew when they kicked off their own campaign that I’d be wrapped up in it. I was right. They use very unique characters for the campaign and are fleshed our a little in their own mini episodes so it makes it easy to know them once the campaign starts. I loved the set up for the story and can’t wait to see where it goes.

I love the synergy you guys all have with one another, it makes for a highly entertaining and hilarious campaign. I can't wait to hear where things will go after the academy! I am hooked.

This podcast is off to a great start and has a lot of potential. The audio quality is superb. The narration from the DM is amazing. Great characters and exciting plot. The artwork is also awesome. Looking forward to hearing more!

They are all clearly having a good time with each other and the premise and characters are original and refreshing and not obnoxious.
