    Love y’all
Great podcast that is actually getting things done in real time for real people. I love both of y’all, love the banter. I even enjoyed Woody reading the Scott Peterson stuff, I appreciate the attention to detail. If you narrate an audio book I’m sold lol…. Keep it real

    Real Life Real Crime Daily
I was a big Woody fan in the beginning but do not care for the direction the podcast has gone. Way too many continuing stories for many episodes and hours of reading transcripts. What happened to the storied being from Woody's actual experience and not internet. The intro needs to be changed to fit the new format of the actual podcast.

    Disappointed
I tuned in after the Courtney Coco episode on Dateline, hopeful for a new true crime podcast to add to my library. The monotonous rambling of court transcript was difficult to follow and the disregard of the justice system to mock the defense attorney to file motions, which is his job and completely standard procedure made me wonder if the right to a defense is void in Louisiana. I found this podcast to be utterly boring, and more biased opinion than informative, I won’t even mention the poor production value & inability to pronounce words. Unfollowed.

Tell me about real menopausal crime!
Nothing makes me more uncomfortable than Woody telling me about hormones, pms symptoms, menopause, and hormone adaptogens (or even pronouncing it…lol) but it does make me and my husband laugh. maybe he does have it in him to watch real housewives. There is Real Husbands of Hollywood he could start on… it is very funny. Ps thank you for getting rid of the Agg. My husband more so thanks you from the bottom of his heart.

innocence & reform advocate WHO BACKS THE BLUE!
Update to say: as I tell everyone in this space, FOR THE LOVE OF THE VICTIMS, PLZ DO NOT PUT CALLS TO ACTION BEHIND A PAY WALL!! MONEY DOES NOT FIX IT ALL! (Of course it makes sense and helps to Collect & help but phone calls are free if ppl know they need to make them or write letters or scream from the mountain tops!) These guys are the real deal! As an advocate for prison reform & the wrongfully convicted for 10+ yrs , I’ve also been married to a trooper, correctional officer, & city cop (all the same guy!) I’m often told lines are either black OR white between reform & backing the blue but I always stress the lines are black AND white! These guys remind me why I’m correct! Good on both sides & all sides can always improve. I left 4 podcasts and traded them all in for this one! love the accents & cases sprinkled over the humor dignity & love they throw all around! Good on yall keep em coming (ps I might know a certain sheriff you boys love!!!)

    Much Love
Hi Cindi and Woody! I cannot tell you enough how much I enjoy and look forward to listening to you every morning on my way to work and on my way home. I have a 45 minute drive each way. While I am preparing the X-ray dept at the VA in Milwaukee, WI, I continue to listen to you and wish you both success in all of your endeavors! Thank you for being something I can always look forward to, everyday! #justiceforHailey

    Woody, Stop it!
Stop being mean to Cindy and threatening physical violence. Though you may be joking, women victims of domestic violence do not find it funny AT ALL!

To have to say Cyndie is not stupid….means she’s stupid ….
My goodness SHE IS STUPID ….but at least we don’t have to hear about Jim’s anaconda every 5 minutes. Sorry I just cannot listen this this Cyndi person. I feel like my IQ drops dramatically whilst listening. Definitely not a radio voice. Please. You can’t fix STUPID.

    Don’t change a thing!!
So I am getting caught up and just heard Cyndi say that she had a not so nice review. Just want to say, forget that!! I love listening to the two of you under this new format. The banter back and forth makes me chuckle which lightens the air when hearing about horrible crimes. Don’t change a thing.

    Frankly, pretty ignorant takes
Came here after searching for a more recent recap of Natalia Grace in light of the new season of the documentary and I’m appalled by the lack of research here. Starts off by saying they didn’t watch the documentary, then proceeds to tell the audience that this is a case of a crazy killer adult posing as the child despite a MOUNTAIN of scientific evidence that proves this was a child (albeit a complicated and difficult one who acts out due to an unimaginable amount of trauma) who was abandoned by her truly monstrous parents. Yes the case is murky and there are unreliable narrators galore, but the overview presented here was straight up wrong and extremely ignorant. You say this is from what you could read online, maybe try actually watching the documentary you’re discussing and learning about the case before commenting.

    True Crime Daily
Woody and Cyndi are great hosts that report on crimes. The reporting of the crimes are told with compassion for victims and the experience of law enforcement. Woody is straight forward in his commentary of the reported crimes. Cyndi is a softer commentator. Cyndi is knowledgeable and not dumb. I listen everyday.

    One of the best podcasts
I love Woody and Cindy. I love the straightforward telling of the crimes. They're both so supportive of the victims like Justice for Hailey.

Long time listener sad to see
I hate how much the show has gone downhill. I miss the old cop stories. Is it too much to ask for just one or two a week?
  • june_kt
    Longtime Listener
In all Honesty, I loved the camaraderie of the 3 of you in the old version, but love hearing Cindi on the Pod with you. A little less of the echo intros would be better, a bit too repetitive, try out some new things…pretty please.
  • Maddy12573
    Love the pod but…
Woody please stop cutting your wife off when she’s sharing stories/ talking! Makes it hard to listen. You never did that before with any other co hosts.

    Breath of fresh air
I’ve been a dedicated listener of Real Life Real Crime for quite some time, and I must say the latest addition of Cyndi Overton as a co-host brings a breath of fresh air to the podcast! Her presence offers a unique perspective that allows listeners to connect with Woody and the content on a deeper level. Lifers know what Cyndi does and who she is. Not only is she the person that suggested Woody start a podcast - She is the behind the scenes person of all things to do with the podcast. AND the app. It's clear that she is an asset to the podcast and LIFERS adore her. Cyndi deserves respect for all that she does—she is far from stupid! Her role is to let Woody shine and she obviously knows that. It’s disappointing to see someone undermine her contributions simply because they haven’t taken the time to understand the dynamics of the show. It’s often those who lack understanding that resort to name-calling. Real Life Real Crime continues to deliver true crime content, and with Cyndi now co-hosting, I’m excited to see where the podcast goes from here. Keep sharing the stories, and let's support both Woody and Cyndi as they bring justice to the forefront!

    Love it!
I have been a listener almost since the beginning. I have always loved Woody. Cyndi brings something special to the table. Their banter back and forth is great keeps me giggling. Please keep up the great work!

    True Crime Time for all!
True Crime Time … is a NEW true crime podcast by Woody & Cyndi Overton! This podcast is like nothing you have ever heard before . Cyndi is genuine and kind soul with a passionate for research and speaking from the heart. She is a retired school teacher, a mom, is ready for anything alongside her husband. Woody is best at telling stories that honor victims, their families and their stories. He is a retired policeman, detective, and current polygraphist. He has solved multiple cases in his career in law enforcement, and has solved many cases while behind the microphone of his original podcast and boots on the ground, Real Life Real Crime. While he has had many guest hosts, and partners in the past, the family dynamic, banter, & contrast of Woody & Cyndi are the best by far! Their contrast creates an engaging listen, blending horrific, and serious crime narratives with lighter marital banter, often humorous and heartfelt stories of their own. They are two weeks in on their new show and while challenging at times, their performances is unlike any other I’ve heard before and I cannot wait to hear more as they blossom into more.

    What has happened!
How many times can Cindy say “Gosh”! Woody you said you would never read, what are you doing now. Both are stumbling through reading stories. We can’t your old crime stories. Please our ears are bleeding.
  • Miss Lyss1985
The way Woody talks to Cyndi.
Love the podcast, LOVE Cyndi as the new co-host!…but the way Woody speaks down to her…not a fan. It’s uncomfortable at best.

    Miss the old RLRC
Kind of odd that an important case that is wanting the public’s help is given to only paid subscribers first. Seems to me I would have blasted it to everyone, that one person that may know something may be less fortunate and not able to afford to pay for a podcast subscription.

    So much respect!
I really appreciate the work you do. I love the fact that you’re former law enforcement, and you provide some insight and perspective from someone who walks the walk. Thank you for your service, both then, with boots on the ground, and now, with your continued commitment to protect and defend. My family and I have much respect and admiration for you. 🙏🙏🤲

    Can’t finish
I really wanted to like this pod, but I’m listening to the most recent episode and I can’t stand the vocal fry of one of the hosts. It’s grating, and I can’t finish the episode.

    Scott Peterson case
Very, very good! Excellent in-depth reporting. Only problem - I want it to continue, but I have to wait for next episode.
  • KDD2021
    Wow, not listening anymore
Totally disgusted with the trashing of Kamala Harris and Meghan Markel in the 8/16 episode. Someone cheating on their spouse doesn’t automatically make them a terrible person & a man standing of for his wife against his RACIST family will never be bad in my book. Get it together
  • sbmom805
    Disappointing
I have listened for over a year and while I do liked to listen it’s become cleaner I do not have to perspective in any area anymore. this is a very tumultuous and dangerous time for our country. I wish I had received a little bit more of that perspective than I had from your show.

Love every show, for different reasons!
I’m a sucker for a good ol’ cop story. Woody can sure carry the original all by himself. The daily show flows so nicely and Jim & Woody really compliment each other. They are like a lovely old married couple. The WOW is a breath of fresh air. I like it for a change. The topics are relevant and of interest for sure. Lastly, Jim’s Exposed is phenomenal. Only thing that could make that show better is if there were more episodes, more often. Although I understand there is not enough time in a day with Local Leaders podcast. Love ALL the shows. Hope they all continue and keep winning the deserved awards!!

Reporting incorrect information is the last straw for me
It’s been factually documented that trump was not shot, he was hit from glass broken on the teleprompter. I don’t know why, but I expected better from Woody.
  • KuzyCaps82
    Best in the biz!
I have been a long time listener of RLRC and let me tell you, the show is top notch! Not only are the stories real but the man who worked the cases is the one telling it! RLRC Daily is absolutely hilarious. It’s covering headlines in news. These 3, Woody, Jim and Mike have the best banter while discussing the latest headlines. This podcast is probably, in my opinion, the best true crime podcast out there!
  • Jmac252
    WOW
Is there a way to separate WOW from RLRC Original and Daily so I don’t have to hear Mikes voice ever again?
  • Scooby Do & Charlie 2
You are all great! Love the shows! Ignore the McTrolls!
I have been a long time listener and have enjoyed how the show has evolved into so much more over the years. I appreciate how hard all three of you work to inform and entertain us all. I love the new show (WOW)!

    WOODY!!

    Mike the Right Wing Nut
The guy Mike is an anti vaxxer, pedo apologist, extremist right wing nut, and the other two try not to alienate half the audience. However, the guy Mike cannot control himself and manages to wrench in his political views when it’s a True Crime show. He is arrogant and ignorant. I kept giving it another shot, finally done listening to the garbage spew.

    Get the Beatles back together
As an avid true crime enthusiast hailing from New Orleans, I can confidently say that the Real Life Real Crime podcast is a standout in the genre. Hosted by the incredible trio of Woody, Jim, and Mike, this podcast has captivated me from day one. Their diverse personalities blend seamlessly, creating the perfect recipe for an engaging and riveting listening experience. Each episode showcases their unique strengths: Woody’s investigative expertise, Jim’s analytical insights, and Mike’s special levity that brings a much-needed balance to the often dark subject matter. These three men together are like the perfect ingredients for a gourmet meal, making each episode a delight to devour. As a dedicated listener, I was deeply saddened by Mike’s departure from the main show, His absence is truly felt, much like realizing you’ve forgotten to add seasoning to your favorite dish – it just isn’t the same. The dynamic between the hosts has always been a key element of the podcast’s charm, and without Mike, it feels incomplete. To Woody, Jim, and Mike, I hope you can find a way to reunite. Your chemistry is unparalleled, and the podcast world simply isn’t the same without the three of you together. It feels like the Beatles if the podcast world have broken up. Get well soon Woody! Love y’all!

    ONE OF MY FAVORITE PODCAST!!
Woody and his co-host Jim are awesome!! I love how real and raw the show is and I’ve been hooked since I first came across this podcast. I love to hear Woody get all fired up when he’s talking about some of these cases and enjoy listening to these cases coming from the detectives and/or the victims point of view. I just found this show about two weeks ago and I’m listening to the “Who murdered Courtney Coco” season and their work on the case was absolutely amazing after 15 years of the family being jerked around. If you love true crime, you should definitely give Woody and his podcast Real Life Real Crime listen.. and don’t ever let him catch you down on murder bayou

    I’m done
Mike Agovino has empathy for accused rapists when there’s a video of them joking that “they finna rape that girl.” There was aggression on the part of the victim? Really? I have daughters and was sick listening to him. I never want to hear Agovino’s ignorant, arrogant voice again.

    Not the same
I loved this podcast when it first came out and Woody talked about his personal stories working in my parish. I lost interest when the stories were no longer his personal experience. I then came back for the Daily portion as I loved listening to the Woody, Mike, and Jim go back and forth over stories; however, when Mike left it lost its appeal to me. I wish the show the best of luck.

    Ago balanced the Show
I’ve enjoyed listening to this show on my daily walks going on 10 months…I have loved the dynamic between Woody, Jim and Mike. Do I agree on everything they all say? No, but I enjoy the banter amongst the three. Sadly, Mike is no longer hosting and the show has not provided any explanation. I never thought I was an Aglet, but without Mike, the show is a flop. Miss ya Mike.

    Finally
Been hooked since first episode. Finally a true crime podcast that goes with facts and not research nots. Love the details in the story. Don’t leave anything out. I always been interested in true crime and what goes through these people’s mind when they do what they do. Like wonder why do they do the stuff. Plus best saying come from this podcast Don’t let me catch you on murder bayou. I am playing catch up front the starts. Lucky I can listen to it at work.
