Kevin ShifleyFantastic podcastGreat podcast for residents, attendings, and students. Highly recommend.

ALLgasN0br8kesGreat for boards and real lifeOne of the best emergency medicine podcasts out there for both the boards and real life. As an attending, I still listen to this podcast. They somehow cover the material for both boards and real life. I’ve gotten some of the best real life practice pearls from this podcast. I’ll be taking oral boards soon but will continue listening to this podcast afterwards. Intro music always gets me pumped up too!

Rapid BombsEM Rapid Bombs…is fabulousThey did a phenomenal review of pacemakers on Rapid Bombs. They are literally giving the people what they want. Thank you so much!

jhmedstudentEngaging and HelpfulI am a current medical student, and have found the pod to be incredibly useful. Even with an EM focus (which is my current #1 choice for specialty), the podcast does an excellent job at concisely presenting interesting cases, with the necessary follow-up and discussion to understand the full picture. I have even been able to use things I learned from the pod to be successful on practice board questions…which is an immediate 5 star rating. Additionally, Drs. Briggs and Husain (and all the guests) are entertaining and knowledgable in the content. I will definitely continue to listen, can’t beat the quick episodes and quality high-yield content.

Morehouse student from DMVGreat Way to Start the Day.Longtime subscriber here. I have been listening over the last year to this great podcast. Today was the first day that I thought about something to write about. Dr. Blake Briggs and the neonatal fever episode number 184 had me crack up, laughing as I was driving into shift. They did their regular banter which is hilarious and then Dr. Iltifat Husain started the question and said “a 10 day old….” At that time I said “nope” as I’m driving and then Dr. Blake Briggs right after I said that said “All right I’m signing off” and I cried laughing. This is one of the best EM/medicine podcasts I’ve ever listened to. I listen to it every day and I am about to become a subscriber to their premium podcast. I just had to put this review in because it was so incredibly funny. Thank you guys so much for all that you do continue doing it you are great. -The EM Padawan

FindingFaithOnTheFarmPro wrestling and the finishing moveI’m no pro wrestler but if you were Toxic Megacolon I would advise “he will perforate you” as your opener and end with “total perforation”. -Money

Thanks for an amazing easy learning opportunity :)

Bushidoronin“A screaming comes across the Sky.”No simmering, smoldering presentation here, this is the high yield , V-2 rocket of EM podcasts. Well worth the listen. Highly entertaining. 5* info on relevant EM topics. Only negative Is the frequent absence of founding member Iltifat Husain comma MD who is spending more and more time flying out to San Francisco to record episodes as the new host of the ‘Hearts of Space' radio program. DrWilCutShort and SweetI am new to Board Bombs but really like the format. It hits the high notes of the topic in a quick and entertaining format. I got the paid subscription. I do have a couple of suggestions. I wish you would add a scrollable list of all the topics to the website as currently you have to scroll through them piecemeal and there are over a hundred- clunky in the current format. They need to post contact information on the web site for questions or problems with one’s account. There should be someway to mark episodes as having been listened to though I guess you could remember this. I loved the airway module but could never pull up the post test answers. Finally not sure if it’s possible but CME would be nice particularly @ $150/yr. PS I’m listening on Podcast Addict on Android but formal apps for Play store/IOS would simplify things. Robby SkinnerExcellent ER podcastI’ve been listening to this podcast since it’s inception, and it only gets better. Each episode is a concise overview of a specific topic. With both practical and board relevant information condensed into a 15-20 minute podcast. Never boring and I always learn something. Highly recommend for everyone from early medical students to the most senior of attendings, and everyone in between.
-
doc goldenbeanMemorableThese guys are great. It’s so refreshing that humor is so well incorporated into this podcast as opposed to other podcasts that deliver great material, but put you to sleep with a monotone voice.
