Hyperwolf350Trucker wannabe farmerI’m glad regenerative agriculture is becoming part of the cultural battle. It is a real tool to heal, to REGENERATE soil health, produce clean nutritious food, for animals and everyone, improving the health of the environment in every place it is applied to around world.
-
Twitter AUsed to like this showAlways wondered if this was snake oil. Kempf has gotten kind of political on Twitter. Makes me question his integrity.
-
!TReads! So glad I stumbled on this podcastNot a farmer, but a home gardener who stumbled upon this podcast via the James White interview. I am so inspired by the conversations, information sharing and innovation presented in this podcast. To echo a previous reviewer, this podcast gives me hope! There really ARE brilliant people, all over the world, working on bettering our systems of food production and understanding how nature’s design really works.

Sara416HopeI love this show. This show gives me hope.

bluetortillaPodcast Extra RFKI was gravely disappointed to hear anti vaxxer extremist RFK given attention that he can convert into positive publicity. If you want fresh outbreaks of polio, measles, and smallpox, follow this guy. I agree with the notion of less and less DNA manipulation to treat and prevent disease, but not to the extreme that RFK is promoting. i love this show and John left RFK completely out of his league. At worst, RFK jr. will give Trump the one percentage point he needs to seize the WH. I have no idea why someone of your intellect and sensitivity could not see that giving him a megaphone was a devil’s bargain.

SL_CTUnsubscribedNo thanks.

kayseejay6Let’s hear it for the boysReally enjoy the podcast and the level of detail covered. I have learned a lot. However, it feels a lot like a boys club, wish there were a bit more diversity in the people being interviewed.
-
JeffRThielEnlightening and HopefulReally appreciate the in-depth information about ways we can do less harm and more good for the environment by changing our agricultural practices. Lots of upside for improving soil health, water utilization, nutrient utilization -while at the same time saving farmers money. Developing a sustainable and healthy food supply requires that we understand the financial impacts on farmers and find ways to make growing more sustainably more profitable.
-
McCarricklessThe best of AgI absolutely love this podcast and try to share it with as many people as possible. Real grounded conversations. Real regen(leaving room for everyone to start where they are). Real Ag. Real solutions. Real people. Real heart. Many thanks to all the folks that make this podcast happen!
-
extrasuperkkDon’t be an uncritical consumer of this podcastI was surprised and disappointed to hear a highly touted guest proclaim that he wasn’t sure if climate change was really happening and be given ample time to waffle and cast doubt on what is established science. In addition, the same guest made it sound like all animal agriculture is fine—that eutrophication and other water pollution isn’t happening, that methane from ruminants isn’t an issue. C’mon. The science is there. This makes you, the host, look like a fool. Take some time to talk about the nuance—CAFOs are bad. A lot of animal agriculture IS bad. Sell your own model. Please—debunk and clarify when your guests make spurious claims.

No-Till FlowersLong time listener becoming an even bigger fanI’ve listened to all of John’s episodes. Always stimulating and valuable. But I have to say the recent episodes are going to a whole new level. I can tell John has been deep in thought about more than just soil and it shows. I really appreciate all that’s been discussed, including the topic of how to regenerate ourselves and our connections. Please keep going down this path. It’s powerful.

Me741Awesome!Let’s heal our agriculture. Listening to this podcast will help.
-
trumpeting_angelValuableA great podcast by one of agriculture‘s great thinkers. We have much to learn from John Kempf, and it’s presented here in detail.
-
LJessica44Love the PodcastJohn thank you for all you do to educate and inspire the masses on soil health
-
URG...!Such Rich Soil!I keep wanting to see John Kempf in the mainstream media. It would be wonderful and fitting to find an Article in the NYT or WashPo or even TIME (is TIME still a thing?) with the story about agriculture that John would tell. There is not much that I can think of that is more pressing than widespread knowledge of the guests and host of this podcast. Good stuff!
-
Robert AtterberryThe best!Such a wealth of good information! I feel like I’m getting such a good education and so many good book recommendations.
-
johnburstletonThe Library of AlexandriaIn the world of agriculture there is no equal to this collection of brilliant scientists, farmers, and agronomists.

Ecology will save usAll episodes superbAs a climate change activist and earth lover, hearing any good news about our future gives me back the joy that leaks away over time. I don’t know where Kempf has been all these years, but I am so grateful he has emerged to show us what I knew and many many of us knew, that the earth can take care of herself very well, if we just stop destroying her. Just. Stop. Learn along with these earth workers that Ecology was right. Let’s open that book up again, Ecology for Dummies.

TomaballsdeepDon’t change a thing! Except maybe the audio quality. To all the people out there that are critical about representation of women and certain communities, is that really so important? I’m a queer listener and farmer and haven’t ever felt the podcast lacking, except for the inconsistent audio quality, which I totally understand. John has fascinating people on from many different walks of life, bust most importantly, people that are 4th or 5th generation farmers. People that hold a lot of weight in their communities. People that manage THOUSANDS of acres and can speak to others in their field with credibility. The critiques about a lack of representation should be aimed at the industry and society, not this informative, inspiring and well produced podcast. Keep up the great work!
-
MirwallYou ask brilliant questionsI love this podcast. I am a Body Therapist - working with energy, soft tissue, bones, nervous system, using touch and sound and awareness practices- a gardener, herbalist and I love learning about soil. It is all connected. My favorite thing about this podcast is John’s heart - it is so clear in the way he relates to his interviewees, and with his brilliant questions. I learn so much, from all of it, content and process and heart.
-
onekanmarMy favorite podcastI learn so much from this podcast. These conversations give me a glimmer of hope for our future. John guides the conversations brilliantly. His guest are excellent experts expounding on the essential, broad ideas and the nuances of working with nature.

Logan GunzA Wealth of Digestible InformationI’m no biologist, just an urban gardener that has a strong passion for growing nutrient dense food for myself and my community. I feel that our country’s agriculture system is not designed for well being of its people, but to put more money in the pockets of agricultural corporations. The information that John digs up in his interviews is INVALUABLE! I’ve learned so much over the past month taking notes while listening to this podcast. What I love most about this podcast is that it feels like it comes from a place of humility. There is no sense of pride or effort to push the listener to think a certain way. It is pure information coming from John’s passion and interest in the topics discussed. Thank you and please keep it up!
-
RchekWhere are the women? You don’t know any women farmers?
-
qdma1Great podcastAmazing podcast. Covers all things soil health.
-
dyllpearNo one is benefiting if you only interview white, cis men.Wonderful! Important! BUT we need more interviews with women, BIPOC, and queer farmers. We need/must hear their perspectives and practices... we’ve got to think broader, bigger, better. If you are having a hard time finding them to interview, look harder. They are out there and necessary.
-
jpondoWhat book is that?Hi there, I love the interview and and discussion about starting with geology in episode 65. However I can’t seem to find the book that was recommended, Buffalo Arts? Who’s the author? Curios farmer in Montana
-
PuduncleThe most relevant podcast in agricultureRegenerative agriculture is clearly the scientific driven, truly sustainable next evolution in our relationship with how we take care of each other in the land. This podcast has the most interesting technically competent guests who provide a wealth of actionable items towards true sustainability including the state ability of profitability G. Pennyroyal

Zemyna21Doing great things for ag and food and the worldJust love all the info, SO MUCH in depth info on science and food and ag. Super amazing, I have learned so much. Thanks for helping regenerate our farmland with all your knowledge!
-
Jed-I jesterJoining heart and head, dollars and senseKudos to host John K. and his support team for this content-rich work. Yes, the audio is not broadcast-standard quality, but I find the knowledge and spirit of these conversations more than balances the technical quirks. Bravo!
-
YannisDAmazing Content - Horrible sound quality !This is a great podcast, excellently handled by the host. But John seriously some of the sound quality is dreadful. I still wanna give 5 stars as your work is good and important but I’m sure you can do something with the sound quality even with Covid issues and remote interviews.
-
jeremy kinerGreat content bad audioHaving trouble stomaching the content with the audio quality
-
DaJoyKExpert and intenseTop notch knowledge being discussed. Some of the science I wish had links to video explanations. Trying to bring regenerative ag small scale to my urban home garden. Soil around homes are depleted as well.

Nina WisconsinSaving our farms.Restoring our soils is our quickest way forward to decarbonization. Here is a fantastic resource for growers looking for a path to higher profitability with the side benefit of restoring balance to our carbon budget. The business opportunities are significant. The old ways are ripe for disruption.

devinraschThe Passion and Ambition are contagiousJohn Kempf and the other agronomists at AEA as well as guests on the podcast a great platform for scientists interested in agronomy as well as farmers who are passionate about regenerative agriculture. I recommend anyone still hungry for knowledge to give their online lectures a listen.

AJ WestlundRegenerative Agriculture will change the world!John is doing great work with this podcast. I love the guests he brings on the information being discussed. World changing is big title, but will be the result if we can begin to influence the way people farm. Keep up the good work AEA and John!

Gardener and ChefSerious, Effective, Organized InfoI have a job which allows me to listen to (growing, farming, garden related) podcasts all day long. Regenerative Ag Podcast is the best one I have found. The information is dense, very well presented and organized. Most of all, John Kempf is working to make a change where things really matter - the health of the food we grow. The production values are excellent in terms of sound quality, etc.. I get a strong sense that Kempf well studied and up to date on the lit, and can clear assimilate the pertinent info from across the sciences. I also appreciate that his work is rooted in working with farmers make improvements. Its not theoretical or overly academic, but very real world.
-
MLFogleEnlightening & StimulatingThe subject and practice of Regenerative Agriculture is gaining interest and momentum. Many thanks and kudos to John Kempf, a knowledgeable and energized visionary, for helping guide us through what can be a maze of random bits and bytes and for connecting the most important of dots so that we might better understand how to: improve the potential of our eco-systems - our soil, water and biodiversity; recognize the uniqueness and potential of our local environs and to stimulate our imaginations as we consider these relationships. The topic & guest are competently surveyed by Mr. Kemp resulting in an informative, comprehensible, enlightening and stimulating session.
-
Jonathan KitchensTop notch!!John Kempf’s Regenerative Agriculture podcast is the most exciting, informative intersection of ecological agriculture, soil/personal health and the dynamic relationships therein. He has a diverse range of deeply knowledgeable guests and asks well thought questions that lead to further inquiry and insight. John approaches each conversation with a keen understanding of the information while remaining humble and open which allows the guest to deliver the information without being steamrolled by the interviewer. I really can’t wait to hear each new episode.
-
Energy Goddess 7In-depth Agronomic Informationput together in a clear and easy to understand way. Very impressed with the level of knowledge of the guests and appreciate John's ability to draw out the information with clear and easy to follow questions. Though sometimes John and the guest move away from a topic I would have wanted to hear more about. Overall this is a great source of knowledge especiallly if you're curious about what is involved in transitioning a farming operation to sustainable practices. John and his guests provide great information on the practicality and profitability of different practices.

We matter. We are Nature.Harmonious reality.I am so grateful these podcasts have given me a place to steep in the wisdom of Nature. I never knew how insects eat the weak, the dying, the damaged plants by choice and necessity. I never knew how the design of our ecosystems are as profoundly intricately dedicated to our well being. It is so easy to be confused by the structures, veils, lies and degenerative dysfunction that passes for life in society. Cast it all aside. Listen to your Heart and then these podcasts to find out where to go, what to do, and how to do it, so we can all thrive and be stewards of our Home, our bodies, and minds. Regenerative living and eating, and growing is not a fad. It is our blueprint. Come Home to this. I feel so good, so grateful, so enlivened by the wisdom, intelligence and kindness that brought these caring, deeply educated and beautiful voices together. Thank you for helping me understand what Nature has been singing right in front of me my whole life, but I was too busy trying to navigate and survive so many sad distractions that add up to nothing, I did not have ears to hear. Thank you for leading this way, the Way of Love and Nature. I am here, ready to participate. Aloha, Claire - Permaculturist Singer, Artist, Builder, Teacher, Designer, Lover by Nature.

Nate.B.AugustGreat topics, more details pleaseI’ve been looking for professional, well-thought-out content on Regenerative Ag for some time and this is by far the best podcast available. One thing that would quickly elevate this to a 5 for me is if John would get more into actionable specifics. For example, during his conversation on nutritional density with the guest from OSU, the guest mentions some studies that he’s found convincing and the importance of additional reading/note taking for successful growers. I think a big opportunity was missed to reference the specific studies or research and dive into the details of where the guest sees his successful growers finding information, note taking styles etc... Tim Ferriss Show does this very well, as an example. TLDR: I think this would be more impactful for both enthusiasts and skeptics if there was a greater representation of scientific backing and actionable recommendations.

LifeHatchA gold mine of information! This podcast is full of all kinds of really great information about plant/soil health and their relationships
-
AlaskaBerryFarmerEmpowering Farm Nutrition EducationAs a new farmer in the last frontier in North Pole, Alaska where our climate is harsh and soil lacks many essential minerals and looking for ways to find sustainble ways to emprove our soils, the information given by John and many others is eye opening and so fascinating and educational with information from scientists and researchers that give helpful information to help us as farmers to be able make better nutrition decisions and farm practices to be profitable. I am personal blown away from this information and I can't wait for each podcast!
