I always enjoy listening to your podcasts Lauren! This last one was especially good because you told the truth about what to expect as a freelancer. It is not easy and it takes money and lots of time! You were very smart to go back to your job, which the beauty of that is it’s what you love and you get paid. Just started listening and I love this podcast because it’s really hard to find many that are specifically about surface pattern design. So many helpful tips already!

Love all of the content Lesley produces. Everything she shares is so helpful for me as an entry level surface designer trying to break into the industry. I highly recommend all of her content across her podcast, classes, YouTube channel, and whatever else she puts out there! She is awesome 😁

I went to school for fine art with my main study being oil painting. After graduating I did a little graphic design but did not really like it. I realized my real passion is textile pattern design. Now I am trying to figure out how to navigate that field. So I got on youtube and came across Lauren’s videos and was like wow! this is exactly what I was looking for. And then stumbled upon the podcast! Thanks for sharing what you know about this field.

I’m loving the content that Lauren is providing - she’s filling in a lot of informational gaps when it comes to surface pattern design. For those who are new to finding your style and voice and breaking into the industry - she has a lot of great insights to share! Her website/blog content is helping me develop as a Surface Pattern Designer by leaps and bounds. I love the honesty and transparency of the podcast, and that Lauren is willing to share the growth part / growing pains of the journey.

First of all her voice is super cute and not annoying! 😜 But she also has great content that makes sense and I’m learning a lot!
