I like your podcast, but I have to comment on today (March 26) because I am not on Twitter or Instagram and don’t know how else to reach you. But when the representative from MA said that Democrats shouldn’t be talking about Mamoud Khalil (the elite student)…I understand the impulse to not defend him because it isn’t a ‘good issue for us’ but I think the Democrats are too afraid to be real. What is happening to immigrants here is outrageous and illegal. It can’t be ignored. Democrats need to actually lead, not base everything off of message testing.

I ordered the book. Arriving in April can’t wait to read it.

    Out of touch
Really bad takes on the UHC shooting. It just reads as so privileged and so out of touch. But you guys also push unregulated supplements so like, I guess I can’t be terribly surprised. Followed the show for years even when I disagreed here and there but this is quits for me. Hope you both grow.

    Hunter pardon disconnect
Really love this podcast but I personally feel you missed the mark on this one. I do not believe this pardon created any higher of a wall for the next generation of democrats to get over than they already had. The party struggles because they are not hypnotized with group think like the other side. The democrats try to please everyone but the people who aren’t pleased have no problem shooting themselves in the foot by electing a candidate who will never try to work a compromise with them. Not sure how you fix that level of selfishness.

    You lost me
I have been a fan for years, but you lost me on this one. Those of us who have suffered at the hands of insurance companies didn’t need an extended lecture about how we should or shouldn’t feel. Privileged people love telling others what acts of rebellion or protest are acceptable. You acknowledged that you sound out of touch, but then you just kept on going. Ravi invoking Ghandi just left me shaking my head.

    Had to stop listening
Liked this podcast for midwestern analysis of progressive opinions, got tired of ads for supplements that have no evidence behind their use and fad diets. Hate when people promoting evidence and data push unregulated supplements.

    Just what I needed
I have to admit that I hadn’t listened to your podcast in quite some time but after listening to Jason’s election week instagram posts I knew I needed to get back to listening again. This week’s episode was exactly what I needed, thank you!

Should We Tune Out the News
I really appreciated the insights shared by both Jason and Ravi in this episode. I only listen to occasional episodes of this podcast, but I believe it merits more regular listening, particularly in light of the broad societal trends that are happening, many of which I’ve been missing while staying within my preferred cocoon of opinions. We have to be open to listening more broadly with an ear to better understanding the beliefs and perspectives of the “other side”, all so that we might then discern more effective paths of communication to advance the understanding and appreciation of our own points of view. Plus, and maybe more important, a superior third way of responding to any given societal problem might well emerge.

    The morning after
I was trying to get thru today until I could listen to you both tomorrow. Thank you for this episode. And if we could have more of Ravi’s laugh. It cheers me right up. ❤️

    Jason Kander 10 stars
I wish I could just hear Jason Kander interview people. He is much more informed, balanced with views as a previous politician and veteran, and is overall more humble. I get tired of hearing Ravi brag about Yale Law, his secret project, how well traveled he is, the important interviews he’s giving, and his overall importance. It’s exhausting.

    Solid center left podcast
Jason and Ravi deliver a pragmatically progressive take on US and world affairs. Imagine a mix of The Bulwark + Pod Save America + Midwest vibes.

    Never miss it!
They are fair and knowledgeable, and I love the banter (and the longer episodes)!

Great job of synthesizing political news
I really like this podcast. Jason and Ravi have a wonderful way of informing me of the latest news and being objective about what it means. I tend to react instead of reflect and see the larger picture. They are both adept at doing just this!

    Like the kiddos
This is a great podcast. I am not a sports fan but I am a child fan. I love the anecdotes about Bella and True (correct spelling?)

    Amazing Conversations
Love this show! I look forward to the discussion, perspective, and nuance. I even love when the conversation meanders into football! Let’s GO BUFFALO!!!!

    Balanced Perspectives from non-Political Junkies
While Jason & Ravi are very informed, they’re not always on top of every single silly political thing, esp not the pure punditry stuff. They keep on top of the big issues, and they provide a more “normal” take on things. Most of all, I love that they provide advice on how to talk about certain topics with loved ones that you want to persuade, not shame. It’s useful, practical advice on how to bring people back away from the ledge! The highlight of my Thursday most weeks lol

    Good perspective
This podcast is a highlight of my week. I appreciate their take on current politic events. It helps me stay informed and, as the podcast’s premise suggests, it has helped me navigate conversations with other voters in my life.

    Information
Love this podcast, even though sometimes I might not agree with each perspective. It is always good to understand different sides to every situation.

    Partisan but intelligent
I came to this podcast from Ravi's nonpartisan podcast, The Lost Debate. I hesitated at first because I didn't want to listen to something that might be severely biased, but when I eventually broke down and started listening, I was relieved to find that most of what they say on the show is very intelligent and seems well thought out. I hear Jason say things that I don't hear anyone else say, like he is the only person who suggested that President Biden was taking time to drop out of the 2024 race because he was grappling with accepting the changes that come with aging, the same way our parents might struggle with it. And doing so in front of the entire country. In fact the only thing I've heard them say on this podcast that was totally wrong was when they compared Josh Hawley to a cicada, because cicadas are awesome and cute relatively harmless and they all work together for the benefit of their whole species, which doesn't seem very much like Josh Hawley.

    Typical political lies
If you’re looking the typical one sided un objective discussion, this is the podcast for you. Everything said is just a repeat of what liberal media is shoving down your throat. No matter the evidence, there’s nothing subjective. They might as well just say, “orange man bad” over and over. And anyone toting so much how they’re a veteran, probably doesn’t have that much experience.

    Great Podcast

    I Agree!!
Not everyone disagrees with your take on President Biden - I happen to agree. Hang in there and keep making your point.
  • Willcrimson
    Always interesting
It is a good podcast that, at its best, asks you to think about how to make a good argument to people who don’t share your beliefs and, often, makes you question your preconceptions.

As a blue female in a red city, county, state (MO) this podcast is a welcome change from what I normally hear. Thanks to you both!

One of the smartest pods out there!
I always learn when I listen to Jason and Ravi. I look forward to each episode so much that I wish they were daily. Such intelligent dialog. I also selfishly wish Jason could be POTUS. 🫡😉 Exemplary human beings, both.

    The voices of sanity
I so appreciate Jason and Ravi‘s articulate and balanced (though obviously tilted in the direction I agree with) approach to the events around us. Guests who are invited onto the show are always high caliber, and well worth listening to. keep up the good work guys!

    Fantastic podcast
I’ve always thought very highly of Jason and really like Ravi on the pod too. I think if more Democrats talked the way they did, the party would be more popular nationally, especially in middle America.
  • It Barks
    Informative … Fair … Accessible
I love the casual chat, sharing personal stories about their lives humanizes them - not just political punditry. Enjoy the care in breaking down some the topics into digestible bits.

    Podcast that meets the moment
In divided times, Jason and Ravi’s ways of talking about important issues and the future of our country really resonates and lends new perspectives. Appreciate this podcast so much!

    I learn so much!
Love Ravi and Jason. I appreciate how they bring an inside perspective on politics and break the nuances of the law/legal cases down in ways us average Joes can process. Keep doing what you’re doing please!!
  • Another LA listener
    Regular listener
I love the podcast’s perspective and Ravi’s insights. The duo has very complementary strengths and knowledge. Just wish Jason wouldn’t speak over Ravi and guests. Sometimes they don’t get to finish their thought and can be frustrating for the listener.
  • Indy Dee50
    First time listener
I have been part of the Meidas Mighty family for several years, but today was 1st listen to Jason and Ravi. Great breakdown of today’s political scene, and loved their personal stories and personal touch. Great show guys!
  • Word is Garbage
    Downhill, fast.
I’ve been listening to the show since the day the first episode aired and it was a joy to listen to Diana and he do the ads together. When Ravi came into the show, it was a struggle to readjust to a new format with someone who didn’t have built-in credibility. The hosts just moved networks, presumably for monetary reasons, and said this wouldn’t effect the show except to add a video component and take some of the producing work off of the hosts. But then one of the producers from the Midas network started coming on and for the love of all that is holy I cannot fathom why they let him speak. Show is garbage when he’s on it. If he becomes a recurring host, this show is ruined.

    Recent Turn
I’ve listened to Jason & Ravi for years and have generally really enjoyed listening to their takes and how they’ve discussed political topics with those who may disagree. I feel like recently that last part hasn't been as much in focus and would really love for them to get back to it. I’ve also found Brett joining the podcast recently to be very offputting. He doesn’t seem to have a rapport with either Jason/Ravi and takes up a lot of the oxygen during the podcast. For example on the most recent episode they talked about the Barbie movie for 20 minutes and only Brett has actually seen it yet. . . Kinda odd.

I’m so glad you love your wife…but…
I seriously don’t want to hear from anyone who doesn’t follow the issues and is just winging it- I think that’s a valid opinion, but it’s your show
  • Justkiddng2023
    Hostage
This show has taken a very dark turn since it was bought by the Meidas (sic) Brothers. Jason sounds like he’s in a hostage situation, and Ravi is now on a seemingly permanent vacation for speaking his mind. I wish you guys stayed where you were.

Great episode as always. Miss Ravi but love the new addition. More Duana, please.

    Thank you
I want to thank you both for your takes on everything, it’s refreshing and helps me realize I’m not insane. Also I want to thank Jason, you’re the first person to say what I have been screaming at every talking head to say, if Trump had an attack plan for Iran that was put together it is because HE FRICKEN ASKED FOR IT! It’s just all so frustrating. But thank you and thank you both, keep up the great work.

    Jury selection
Pod is great and I usually rewatch on YouTube. I just wanted to let you know that the the most recent episode you commented on jury pool selection. To my understanding the jury pool is pulled from the DMV records because not everyone registers to vote but just about everyone has some form of state ID that way it makes them available for jury duty.
