Wanted to like this podcast but right in the first 10 minutes they’re tearing down women because of “mistakes” they’ve made. But then totally excusing other women’s behaviors that seem worse or on the same level. There’s definitely some internal misogyny going on and it’s weird. I also don’t get why they’re going over GND show when they’re just super negative and catty about everything in it.

Please come back Dara! The research for this show is off the charts. Love all the deep dives into the toxic culture from the 2000s. Just amazing.

I love Dara!!! I think she’s funny and a great storyteller but the interview episodes are such a hit or miss!!! I’ve enjoyed some of the interviews at first bc there weren’t that many, but as I continue to listen the interview episodes are back-to-back-to-back. Some of the interviewees are just awful! The episode with Molly mcaleer took an Eternity to get through, a cell phone was buzzing the entire time -literally every few seconds, she spoke to her animals mid-sentence, she rambled a lot and seemed to be yelling all 150 minutes. Other guests like Ana Camp, Troy McCeady, Lukas Gage were great! they were charming, had funny stories and great chemistry with Dara (and really good voice control). If there’s so many interview episodes then I wish there was a better vetting process? :-/

So I recently did a rewatch of The Girls Next Door (but not season 6 because it doesn’t exist) because it came out when I was really young. I’ve always been OBSESSED with the show and was obsessed with Playboy when the show came out (I’ve always wanted a Miss August necklace). I’m not going to go on about my favorite reality show but after rewatching I wanted more & I stumbled upon this podcast. I was introduced to so much information that I didn’t know about the girls, Hef, and the history of Playboy. Dara is such a great host and I feel like I’m having drinks with a girlfriend.

Geez, you’ll love this podcast if you are a trump hater, but anyone who has the education to have an open mind would probably want to pass on this. Listening to this is like listening to a valley girl talk, and you hear “like” a million times. Is so annoying. Terrible storytelling, poor journalist style.

This is a fantastic podcast. Well researched hilarious with incredible topics. I thought I knew early 2000s gossip but the host goes so deep on each topic that I learn new things every episode. I just wish every episode were three hours long bc they are all perfection. Edited to add: we need some reaction episodes to holly and Bridget’s new podcast! I love listening to you and Troy talk about it.

I’m a y2k kid. In college I watched GND all time. The girls became my beauty icons. I’ve season every season of the show many times. I appreciate the show clips, audiobook clips, and Dara’s hilarious reenactments. This is a podcast for people who KNOW y2k and miss it and who know more than general things about pop culture at the time. The details and inside info provided especially about the GND can’t be found anywhere else! Obsessed.

As an elementary school girl (yikes), I was always sneaking US Weekly and People magazines into my mom’s shopping cart, and watching MTV after my parents would go to sleep. My little brain definitely didn’t comprehend a lot of what was going on, but now I can finally fill in all the holes with this podcast. Well written and read.

This takes you back to the 2000’s, when The Hills was EVERYTHING, Paris, Nicole, Lindsay, and Britney ran Hollywood, and you were nobody without your Juicy velour sweats and Ugg boots! I’m literally so obsessed! Give me, give me more of this delicious podcast!! Please consider covering the Gossip Girl cast (so 2000’s)! And also more Jessica Simpson (Nick/Newlyweds, John Mayer, ect — so 2000’s also)! The character voices have cackling, SO GOOD!! 100 out of 10!!

Started from the first episode and have been listening non stop every chance I get for the past 3 days. Her voice is butter. Usually when podcasters make jokes they come off as corny and awkward but hers are so good. I chuckle at most of them. The stories make me feel like I’m reliving my middle school years. This is the podcast I neeeeeeded. Also the insta for this podcast is amazing.

So glad I found this! Now I’m rewatching girls next door and going back from the beginning of your pod and bingeing! Hoping there’s a series on Anna Nicole. Bringing back so many memories of college and my 20s that I forgot about! And any time you have Troy McEady as a guest I’m really happy!

Pleeease do more of those! Love this podcast. So creative and nostalgic and Dara is incredibly creative and entertaining.

We listen for for the story, not for your political view. You have a great voice and storytelling skills but I absolutely hate hearing you bring up politics into this podcast. It it out of place and the constant Trump bashing makes you sound as immature as he is.

Great research, fun & meaningful content but if you’re gunna talk about GND episodes- TALK ABOUT GND EPISODES! You literally *mentioned* the name of “Age of Aquarium” & cage imagery never to return to the episode.

Dara’s voice is so soothing! Her editing is top notch and, of course, the early 2000’s content is -as she would say- “delicious”! It is much appreciated that she is entertaining us while also helping take down the patriarchy ✊

I love it! Super nostalgic, but the downside is the audio is super low, especially when they have guests that sounds like they’re joining over the phone. But has no effect on the content!
