Paula Battalia BrandI highly recommend Psychologists off the Clock (POTC)!I love this enduring podcast and recommend it to others all the time! Even though the hosts have evolved, the content has remained relevant and useful. From the very first episode in 2016 (discussing Tara Mohr’s book Playing Big), I enjoyed listening to the perspectives of the POTC hosts. As the podcast evolved, they began to interview authors and that added a powerful new dimension. I enjoy reading, so the episodes with authors really speak to me. I have listened to many episodes, and I receive so much practical information about navigating the common struggles in life’s journey from them. Whether you’re struggling with a big family decision or figuring out your next meaningful project, POTC will help you gain perspective and clarity on the situation. Most recently I listened to Episode 366 where the hosts experimented with a new format of having the hosts walk us through values exercises. I found it very clarifying, and I imagine many listeners would agree. I appreciate that this podcast continues to develop while keeping true to the message of living a value-centered life. In full disclosure, I will mention that I was a guest on Episode 347 Job Changes

SmartyDreySo, so goodI love ACT and this podcast helps me to stay grounded, motivated, and curious. So thankful for all of your hard work and excited to continue listening! Also, the mental health field is dominated by women people! The work that women contribute in these professions has made such a difference in the lives of countless people, so learn to respect them AND their voices. If you are truly concerned about credibility just look into the host’s professional backgrounds and you’ll get the information you seek 🤷♀️.

JDR789So helpful in my own clinical work!!I’m currently pursuing my own PhD in clinical psychology and have found this podcast to be SUPER helpful in my own learning and development as well as in being able to better explain concepts to clients. Incredibly helpful, and I love how they are making psychology tools more accessible to the public :)

MmossTherapyAmazing ACT specialists and great guests! This podcast has been so informative and helpful to my budding career as a therapist. Diana, Yael, Debbie, and Jill all offer unique perspectives and skills that have helped me with pandemic stress, working with clients (and others…) with narcissism, and working with suicidal ideation in clients, amongst many other things. Diana and Debbies “ACT daily journal” book has also been a great resource for me personally and professionally. For anyone wanting to incorporate ACT principles into their lives or the lives of their clients, this podcast is a GEM. I’m so thankful I have found you all as my guides, thank you thank you thank you!
-
Gaila1LOVE this podcast! The WhyGreat content presented in a relatable way without dumbing down the research and expertise presented by many guests who are leaders in their fields of psychology, social science and business. The hosts are extremely well trained psychologists who know their stuff. Thank you POTC!!

PupperEnlightening and a Joy to Listen ToThese hosts are fabulous! They are knowledgeable while also being relatable and human. I have learned so much from listening to this show. I listen while on my walks and I can’t tell you how many times I have nodded my head or audibly said “yes!” While out in public. I must look nuts! I’m a 40 something overachiever who lives with anxiety and depression and this show has helped me to get curious about my inner mind and how that affects my life. Thank you, Doctors!!! Please keep making the show! And PS, I have recently purchased the ACT Daily Journal and it is great so far.
-
Tim in BAHelpful ConversationAs a therapist (LCSW) I appreciate the conversations of the podcast. It’s the kind of conversation I would like to be able to have with my colleagues but I’m one of the few who practice ACT. Thank you!!
-
mgi512So thankful!I had to take a leave of absence from work this year due to Covid-19. Unfortunately, I lost my health benefits and therefore had to forfeit my therapist visits. My therapist highly recommended this podcast to keep me practicing and mindfully moving towards my goals until my benefits kick back in. Where it is not a replacement for therapy, I have learned SO much and haven’t felt like I have deviated off course! I am so thankful to all the doctors and professionals that participate in this podcast for saving my sanity when I need it the most!
-
ShelainLove this podcastI started listening at the beginning of the pandemic, and I’m officially caught up with all episodes! All the hosts are inspiring in their own unique way, and I’ve definitely gleaned some personal growth and knowledge from each interview. I am an RN with a passion for all things psychology. The podcast in many ways has motivated me to take the next path on my career journey to obtain my Master’s in Counseling with a follow up degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Thanks for helping to steer me towards “a rich and meaningful life.” ;-)

-
creativemswThe best podcast ever!I have gotten so much information and new perspective from these episodes. Though I just started listening a few months ago, it is my plan to go back and listen to them all. I find myself talking to my clients about what I heard on here often and recommending specific episodes to them to help them in their journeys. I do this because POTC is helping me on mine.
-
Sarh BCACT in practice- relatable for therapists and non-clinicians alike! As a clinical psychologist who utilizes ACT as my main modality, I enjoy hearing the hosts and their guests discuss ways to use ACT in our daily lives. Each episode artfully combines science, psychological knowledge and real life examples of human struggle and how to move through them in more meaningful ways. I look forward to reading the ACT Daily Journal soon, and plan to share it with my clients.
-

She really has helped me to deal with the shelter in place situation and connect to others. Now, I dance with my sisters every Wednesday. They all live in Guatemala! Thank you, Misla Barco
-
CatNamedZuzuMy Favorite PodcastI am constantly amazed by the variety of guests interviewed on this show! I have learned so much just by listening to what feels like a conversation among friends. I really appreciate the care that goes into the interviews. Reading other reviews I was worried that the sound quality wouldn’t be good, but I can understand everything. I am just so thankful that I’ve found a podcast that brings so much helpful information to my life!
-
glimadollExcellent info - but...Question: All of these psychologists have the voice tone of a young girl. The quality of their voices - high-pitched - does not lend an air of authority or maturity. Maybe a voice coach would be helpful.
-
mbrunoiupThankfulI am a professor and LPC and have found the podcast incredibly helpful and enjoyable. The hosts are authentic and share their experiences and expertise in a clear and engaging manner. I look forward to each new episode and have gone back to the archives and listened to many episodes. Love the habit change ones where the hosts share their own goals and efforts. The podcast is a great treasure and I am so thankful for the work done by the hosts !
-

Quaker OatesEvidence-based and practical! This podcast had been so useful to me in developing healthy habits. They explore concepts from psychology and relate those concepts to everyday life in practical ways. I revisit several episodes now and again to remind myself to be more mindful. This podcast has influenced the way I treat myself and others more than any other podcast.

J_VizzelI can't stand the jucy mouth sounds5 minutes into episode 104 and my skin is crawling. The jucy mounth sounds is unexpectedly causing me to tune out which is sad, because I'd like to hear more. Please record in better quality. M.tap19Continuously Liberating My MindThis podcast is life-changing. I am recovering from a recent struggle with depression and severe anxiety, and was looking for podcasts that would help me keep the lessons I learned in therapy fresh on my mind. A lot of layers are being pulled away, and a gentler, more loving person is emerging—who has always been here but hidden by fear and numbness. Thank you for all you do.
-
Interesting AND Entertaining!!Virginia GladdenI just listened to the "You're Doing It Wrong" episode and I absolutely loved it!! I really enjoyed hearing Bethany and Maggie talk about their new book. This episode was focused on motherhood, social media, and ways to combat the messages of "you're doing it wrong" that mothers are bombarded with daily. Listening to this episode has given me an insight into what motherhood really is and I can't wait to listen to more episodes from this great podcast!
-
ProfQuinlanYou're Doing It Right! It was such an honor to be invited on Psychologists Off The Clock to discuss our work You're Doing It Wrong! Mothering, Media and Medical Expertise (Johnson & Quinlan! This is such a great tool to make academic work accessible to the community. I could have talked with Dr. Yael Schonbrun for hours. The hosts have immediate chemistry with all their guests. I look forward to sharing these podcasts with students in my health courses.

-
Hey leatherLife-changing and mind-improving!I am a recent subscriber of the psychology off the Clock podcast, but I cannot get enough of it ! These three women are extremely knowledgeable and educated, yet know how to present wonderful information and coping skills in a digestible way. I would highly recommend this podcast; and to no specific crowd. Everyone can benefit from these topics and coping skills.
-
BobHomme25InterestingI had not considered that conflict and enhancement could co-exist. Conflict produces the defense mechanisms that overtake enrichments. Seeing the positive aspects of conflict is enlightening. I am the Joe Sixpack Toaist that Tod Perry is talking to.
-
KfeiClI love this!I love this Podcast!! It is one of the only ones I listen to and is so informative. They always seem to touch on the exact topics I want to hear more about. They are very relatable!!
-
YScharfInteresting and well presented materialI am not usually someone who listens to podcasts, but I came across Psychologists Off The Clock and listened to an episode with great interest. The topic was relevant and interesting and the discussion was honest and helpful. I’ll definitely listen to other episodes!
-
audracoronaFaithful listenerI listen to this podcast regularly and find it really helpful and informative both as a clinician and for my own personal growth. The hosts are all knowledgeable, thoughtful and engaged, and I love the topics. I do miss some of the earlier episodes when the hosts picked a topic and presented their own research and opinions. I really enjoy the authors they interview, but an episode with just the hosts from time to time would be nice. I feel that there is something for everyone in this podcast as it covers such interesting and varied topics. Keep up the good work!
-
CalitherapistInformative and entertaining! As a therapist in private practice, I often recommend the podcasts as an additional resource for my patients. And I have listened to episodes for my own growth in my roles as psychologist, wife and parent. Thank you for continuing to bring the public such wonderful, useful and entertaining episodes!!!
-
EitanCPsychology and great authorsThis is a fantastic show to listen to great conversations with authors in the field of psychology!
-
mftchmPlain speaking conceptsI really enjoy the podcasts and find them helpful in a way that doesn’t address just the specific topic of the episode. I am able to apply the reasoning to my situation. For example, the podcast on the Tao of work/family is useful in understanding the Tao of friends and family or work and friends, or all interpersonal conflict. The explanations are clear and put in a very digestible way.
-
swmc1127Great resource for this working parentI’m no psychologist but this series speaks to me as a mom, an executive, a spouse, a Type A, an insomniac who stays up worrying about things in life and society.... The hosts choose resonant topics, make them accessible, and bring new research and insight to the conversion that can spark new ideas.
-
wangm01Great podcast!I really enjoy this podcast - they talk about so many issues that I find interesting and relevant.

BusinessJamIncredibly helpful for the average personHello, Psychologists! Congratulations on your 100th episode. I'm about 1/3 of the way through the 100th episode, and I thought I'd tell you how much your podcasts have helped me. First, I have no psychology background. I never took any psychology courses in college. I'm just an average 40 year-old guy in Dallas, TX, with a white-collar job. I learned about your podcast through Yael's interview with Tod Perry and Dr. Carl Totten, who host "What's This Tao All About?" I've listened to their podcast since its inception and was thrilled to see that they were being interviewed on someone else's podcast. Once I listened to Yael's interview, I went through your archive and found lots of episodes on topics that I've had trouble with in the past - setting a morning routine, being compassionate to myself, allowing myself to rest, finding purpose in life, managing my time effectively, meditating regularly, fighting loneliness, and developing meaningful intimate relationships, among others. The three of you are all excellent hosts and interviewers. I appreciate when you take the time to explain professional psychology terminology in ways that the lay-person can understand. Therapy has helped me in the past, and your podcasts have spurred me into going to therapy with more regularity. My therapy sessions are also more useful because of the dialogues in your podcasts that have caused me to think about my issues in new ways. I feel for the first time in a while like I'm growing as a person, whereas until recently I felt like I've stagnated. Also, I appreciate that all three of you are women. I'm grateful for hearing these topics from your perspectives. In Taoism, a phrase from the Tao te Ching that I keep in my mind is, "Know the masculine, but keep to the feminine." As a red-state white guy, developing my innate sense of nurturing, kindness, and compassion was never encouraged. It's like anger is the only emotion that we're encouraged to feel. A similar podcast hosted by three male psychologists, or even a mix of genders, wouldn't benefit me as much as your current all-women lineup. Thank you for taking time out of your lives to create these podcasts. My girlfriend has worked in podcast-production, and I never knew how much work goes into each episode until talking with her. Thanks again, and I'm looking forward to the next 100 episodes!
