Best disc golf podcast I’ve found that primarily covers the pro tour as well as business side of disc golf. I love the interviews with players, pro tour staff, business owners, etc. The podcast is professional and well done. I learn a lot.

Neither of these guys should be working in disc golf

It really kills me to hear josh constantly clearing his throat and coughing. On the Lebatard show they fine you $5 per offense. Get a mute button my guy, cripes

Simply put, it’s so hard to listen to this show when I LOVE Charlie, and can’t stand Josh. Don’t ask me to explain it, it’s a review not an essay. Just can’t do it…

Yeah, it’s the best disc golf analysis podcast. I don’t agree with every take, but the positions are well supported. Both guys are enthusiastic about the sport and give thoughtful commentary.

Talked up Ella Hansen, a biological male, saying how it’s her turn to be the next long distance thrower in the FPO. Do you not see the insane lack of logic here? Of course a biological make is out throwing biological females…this is news to you? They can’t even admit how unfair this is for all the biological females, insane! Unfollowed this podcast, will not listen to another episode. Can’t take their opinions seriously anymore.

While I appreciate the effort they put in and the stimulating discussion they bring up, they’ve lost me. Between bashing the 22’ DDO courses (and basically saying the Midwest shouldn’t be allowed to host pro tours (due to lack of trees…)) and saying that local pro shouldn’t be allowed to play pro tours events (everyone starts as a local pro). I’m good for a while until someone says they change their tune.

I’ve been listening to several disc golf podcasts for 2+ years, and I can’t recommend the Up Shot highly enough. Charlie and Josh are prepared for every episode, communicate clearly, and have a natural synergy that every other podcast should envy. There is no better source for both information and opinion regarding disc golf at its highest level.

The random opinions of these leave a lot to be desired, just your typical podcast about how they want things changed. And Luke Humphries has dreadful form, he’s the definition of rounding. If you think there should be more shorter courses so people with garbage form fare better please stop podcasting.

Thank you for fighting for the rights of trans people and other marginalized communities in disc golf. Hopefully this review will offset any hate you get from the right wing.

I’ve been a longtime listener of the podcast and have been a fan of each of the co-hosts who have been on with Charlie Eisenhood over the years. Even though Josh entered the role with probably the least established history and name recognition as a figure in the sport compared to his predecessors, he has demonstrated an ability to bring a nuanced perspective to issues and articulate his views on topics with assertiveness that really impresses me. He strikes a good balance of facilitating an open-minded conversation but clearly is not afraid to contribute his own views and experience appropriately. I look forward to new episodes every week and hope he continues to grow into his roll as a more prominent voice in the sport.

And never play the actual game of disc golf.

I’ve been a listener all season, but after the most recent episode, I’m unsubscribing. Blaming Hannum for using basic biological terms is ridiculous. Take your own advice and don’t alienate half of your listenership by pushing intersectional nonsense.

It is done professionally and is informative. The sport is heading in such a great direction, here is more proof.

You guys do an awesome job analyzing all things disc golf. Love listening to you guys! If I had to give a critique, I’d say watch the volume on the music when you guys are talking over it, it gets hard to hear.

Gosh I wanted this to be awesome, but I found both personalities to be pretentious and annoying. Bummed.

This is a great source for disc golf content. Great when Steve hill was on the show and even better with Jamie. Love what you guys have created.

I used to enjoy this podcast, but Jamie Thomas' hate towards Brodie Smith has become unbearable. There are better disc golf podcasts out there (Smashboxx, Anhyzer, PDGA, Disc Golf Answer Man). Don't waste your time with this one.

This is the best Disc Golf podcast for anyone interested in the pro disc golf scene. No other is even close. Thorough and intelligent insight from two guys who know the sport well.

I love ultiworld disc golf's approach to this podcast. They take the sport seriously and provide a journalistic viewpoint that I greatly appreciate. It's not just 2 buddies shooting the breeze, drinking, and also covering disc golf. The show is both informative and entertaining. I've listened to every single episode they've ever put out and would recommend this podcast to any serious disc golfer interested in following the pro scene. They often have interviews with the biggest names in disc golf and have intriguing discussion on the current hot topics in disc golf. Steve and Charlie (and those behind the scenes) provide a legitimacy to the sport that some outlets do not. The upshot is the gold standard for reporting on the professional disc golf scene.

This is the place to go for professional, independent disc golf news.

I listen to about 4 podcasts a week on discgolf. Each one has its own take and I have really come to like this one because of the research that goes into it. It feels very professional and well done. Keep up the great work

Steve and Charlie cover the goings on of the professional disc golf players and results of pro tournaments, and related topics of interest. This podcast combines a deep love for the sport with an unbiased, accurate, professional approach to reporting. I've followed several other disc golf podcasts and am familiar with the flaws of those other podcasts: too long, too cheesy, too promotional, too arrogant. Ultiworld's "The Upshot" pures the line to deliver solid research, thoughtful commentary and entertaining discussion. I recommend you tune in!
