Extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to cinema
These guys know their stuff. They do thorough analyses of each film and Critically Acclaimed is a great companion piece to Linoleum Knife and Breakfast All Day (my other two favorite movie podcasts). They also dedicate hours and hours of their time on their Patreon site and respond to their listeners in detail if you send them a letter. Excellent podcast!

Critically Acclaimed should be critically acclaimed!
Whit and Bibs are a lot of fun! They give great reviews of movies and provide interesting background on the movies they review. I really enjoy the Iron List episodes. Definitely check out this podcast!

    good discussion, but disappointing moments
I dropped in on a Minus One episode. I was surprised that some criticisms Bib had were somewhat changed because of moments he missed in the film. Many of these were not minor moments that could be missed if you blinked or looked away. These were important, like the final moment. He didn’t even remember it. This is disappointing because there are several points where this is the case. This gives the impression that he didn’t care to pay much attention, potentially because of biases he already had from his first viewing. “I’ve already seen it” vibes. If you don’t care to pay attention to the film you’re discussing, why should the listener care to hear your thoughts on it?

Excellent resource for film criticism and recommendations
Easily two of the most insightful film critics out there even though Witney is deeply wrong about Nimona.

What a great pairing of the two who compliment each other as they guide us through both old and new cinema.

Possibly the Best Current Critics Working Today
The two hosts of this podcast, Whitney and Bibbs, are without a doubt the most influential movie critics working today. The shear volume of films and shows that the critique is staggering. Their humor and insight is valuable. Their opinions are thought provoking. This isn’t just me saying this either. I cannot recall how many listeners have written in to their letters podcast using the phrase “I may disagree with the points/views/critiques/ you’ve made but I continue to listen”. In a day and age where differences and divisions are the strife on social media and the news, it’s a breath of fresh air to hear these critics cultivate such a diverse audience. They have opened myself up to a vast number of films and filmmakers that I have never heard of before. Their critiques aren’t for anybody, but for everybody. I would consider their work of Critically Acclaimed a living omnibus. Please give their podcast a chance. You will not be disappointed.

A must listen for movie fans
I have been a loyal listener to Critically Acclaimed for a few years now. I started as a casual movie fan and listened occasionally, but through the reviews from William Bibbiani and Witney Seibold I became enthralled with films I otherwise would have never watched. These two are the best critics around and give everything a fair shake. Their analysis and critiques are very well thought out and formulated. This is my go to podcast for an unbiased breakdown of all new releases.

    My go-to for film/television discussion
This channel offers amazing in-depth discussions of short-lived tv shows and films (current releases each week as well as older films.) Hosts, Witney Seibold and William Bibbiani, are exceptionally knowledgeable and well-spoken. They always articulate exactly why a particular piece of media does or does not work for them and are always entertaining! I HIGHLY recommended looking into their Patreon for episode-by-episode discussions of Batman (‘66), Star Trek (EVERY episode in the CORRECT order), and so much more! I highly recommend this channel for anyone that loves to get nerdy about the media they consume!

    Great Network For Film Dorks
Long time listener, Bibbs and Witney are great companions for hours and hours of listening. Canceled Too Soon is a special treat of a show, give it a listen!

    What a lovely podcast feed
I adore Witney and Bibbs. They are excellent film critics who are also incredibly charming and fun to listen to. I could even listen to them talk about soap (which they have).
  • Mark Radulich
    Knowledgeable but often dismissive
I enjoy this podcast because these 2 are so knowledgeable about the minutiae of film craft. However I’m often annoyed by how often they dismiss films of the big budget variety simply because they are major media IP i.e. marvel, Star Wars etc. When they are good it’s a great listen but too often they fall into the trap of “I didn’t like it so it’s bad.” That’s not film criticism.

Great movie critics who actually love movies!!
A great critic is not one that you always agree with, a great critic is one that will constantly challenge the way you see a piece of art. I can’t say that I always agree with the hosts, but that’s what brings so much value to this podcast. William “Bibbs” Bibbiani, and Whitney “Rockmeister McCool” Siebold, consistently challenge the way I see at and feel about films. I have a very short list of critics I enjoy following. Siskel & Ebert, are on that list. Two names I can comfortably add to that list are Siebold and Bibbiani. Their knowledge of film and their perspectives are always interesting. Their ratings system of C+ to C- is innovative and nuanced and most importantly, I have fun listening to them break down a film. Please give this podcast a try. I highly recommend it!! C+ for sure.

    Genius
You can’t fake the sheer amount of knowledge these two have about movies. I learn a lot every episode and appreciate how they make it accessible for both new lovers of movies and cinema veterans.

    The best film podcast
This has been said in several reviews already, but I want to reiterate that the passion and enthusiasm and love of film that Bibbs and Whitney have are what make their podcasts the best around. When I’m listening to a Critically Acclaimed Network podcast, even when I have little to no prior knowledge about the film/topic, I get swept up in the conversation because Bibbs and Whitney are such engaging and interesting speakers. Not to mention that they put out multiple podcasts each week, all of which I look forward to.

This podcast network has a lot great content from two knowledgeable guys having a very friendly and enjoyable dialogue about film, TV, and pop culture. Luca get off the table!

The Incredible duo that give you a multitude of
These guys are always passionate about what they are talking about and provide their viewers a shopping list of content. From reviewing movies recently released to reviewing tv shows that had 1 season or less. William Bibbiani and Whitney Seibold are the Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel of my generations.

    My Favorite Film Podcast
Whitney and Bibbs are both every funny and knowledgeable about film. I also love how thoughtful they are with their reviews and don’t feel the need to conform with the norm.

    Funny and insightful
Far and away my favorite podcast team. So much content, and all of it entertaining and thought-provoking. Love them!

    Bibs and Whitney are awesome!
If you’re interested in hearing a podcast with two hosts with a wonderful knowledge and a great passion for movies, this is the one for you! Bibbs and Whitney express great enthusiasm. All of their podcasts are very informative, thought-provoking, and very interesting. Quite entertaining they have a blend of professionalism and informality. They do not remove any subtle errors but instead use them as a way to educate. Also, it is quite delightful how one of the hosts cat named Luca often appears in these podcasts! Take a listen, these are great podcasts!

Some of the best critics around.
Sure one of them is lovably pompous. Sure they are Californian in the way they think that the rest of the country/world is as enlightened as their local bubbles (hint: probably wouldn’t be terrible if it was). Sure they are children of the 90’s, tragically unhip now in some ways and they had a very different high school experience than many of us. These guys are some of the best critics I’ve listened to. They rival the greats (the thumbs up guys, the malton falcon, those linoleum guys). They are of diverse interests. They flex their muscles a lot on many different topics. They invite so much more criticism upon themselves than any other critics. And they clearly have a love for the mediums and genuine affection for each other. Do I agree with them? Not all the time. Can I express exactly what I disagree with when I do, and is it still informative? Absolutely. Listen. Learn. Love. Loathe. But don’t languish in life without listening long time. I’d buy that for a dollar.

    I’m in geek heaven
I’m grateful these guys find the time to do so many different podcasts many of which you can get on their Patreon which is well worth it for anyone looking for smart, funny, insightful commentary on so many topics. The sheer randomness is definitely part of the appeal.
  • CameronHoo
    My favorite podcast
Bibbs and Witney are funny, smart and, most importantly, nice. They just love movies and whatever they’re talking about. They’re great. Listen to them.
  • Jimmy Avalon
Pretty entertaining if you can stand a lot of being preached to.
While I do enjoy them and their banter and insight, I find them to be FAR to preachy about social issues and I find that does seem to taint their perception of certain things they discuss. If they could dial that back I’d listen to them more.
  • PapaJoe80
    Love Bibs and Witney
Though I do not always agree with their view point, I enjoy their variety of shows. Their banter helps this third shifter get through the night.
  • LoveJoy256
    Great Podcast
Very insightful. Learn a lot about movies and enjoy both hosts. Great Music.
  • Jewsco
    Critically acclaimed
Whitney and bibbs always do a good job of reviewing movies and let you know what they think. I might not always agree with them but they always make it interesting and don’t hold punches.

I had to become a patron...
They are already my favorite reviewers even when I don't agree with them. But when they announced that they would review every episode of every Star Trek TV show...let's just say I had no choice. Two of my favorite things in one place. If I had one criticism, I wish they did an even deeper dive into each Star Trek episode. Love you guys!!
  • The Tyrannosuar Lives
    Fun premise
It’s nice to find a podcast in such a crowded subject that manages to distinguish itself with a distinct premise. The hosts have great insights and well-reasoned opinions, and their genuine fascination with obscure pop-culture makes for a fun, Wikipedia-hole-esque variety of topics.

Great Hosts & Compelling TV History Talk
Canceled Too Soon is a strange beast because you’re listening to people talk about TV you probably didn’t, can’t, or won’t see yourself. But the rapport between Bibbs and Whitney makes the show compelling. They guide you through the good and bad of these seasons of TV history in context with enough personality, insight, and knowledge to keep you listening, learning, and laughing.
  • Stevec50
    Not Completely Forgotten
Let’s be honest, there have been way too many TV series that might not have gotten the audience they deserved. Also some that make you wonder, “What were they thinking?” William and Whitney take a look back and try to answer that question. This is what TV nerds do all the time, but these guys really do know what they are talking about. Finally, I have to admit I’m a Patreon supporter, so I might be biased.
  • RexOverdrive
    The Cat’s Pajamas
Not only do you get transported back in time while William and Witney review failed Television series. We also get to listen to cats having an epic Battle Royale in the background. The best of both worlds!

    Great concept with great rewards
I was looking around Itunes for a new podcast. I then saw this and decided to subscribe starting with Almost Human which I enjoyed and watched whole season. After that episode, I checked out more episodes. I discovered shows or tv movies that never knew existed like David Hasselhooff as Nick Fury. I look forward each week to discovering series that only lasted one season.
  • hotsaucewatergun
    Da best!
I rarely know the show you’re talking about but I lovelovelove the banter and the breakdown! Thank you for giving these shows, whether they deserve it or not, a second life for listeners. Love the genuine critical feedback, stripped of any pretense. Keep up the great work!

    Critical but Correct
Not many times do I find a podcast that is critical of the media it is reviewing, but are also correct. They watch the show and then criticize it and do a decent job of explaining the show to you, both good and bad. They are fair in judgement and it's easy from listening to one episode to know they're friends and not afraid of disagreeing, which they do sometimes. They have great personalities, which is hard to convey with only a voice. A wonderful listen to if you're trying to decide if a cancelled show is really worth going through the disappointment of not having new episodes when you're left at the inevitable cliffhanger.

The best Duo for the fun history of TV
If you guys are interested in the history of TV or better yet the millions of shows that have been cancelled after one season, this show is for you. The friendship shines through the podcast which makes the show knowledgeable and hilarious. Please take a listen.
  • nify
    Amazing Podcast
I love this show so much! I went through and listened to every single episode. Their banter is hilarious, their insight is thoughtful, and they’re pretty aware for two white men and often acknowledge how that might influence their perspective. They even do a great job of humanizing sex workers whenever the subject comes up. If this is a subject that seems remotely interesting to you, listen to this podcast!!
  • EdHocken
The only show out there like it
There are tons of bad movie podcasts, good movie podcasts, podcasts devoted to only one show whose episode run is so long, it'll take years to review them all. Canceled Too Soon is none of that with the unique perspective of looking at shows 1 season or less. Not only has the show not gone for the obvious canceled targets for shows that no one has heard of (Terrorvision, especially). A listener will be treated to throughtful and pleasent analysis by Bibbs and Whitney. The show isn't focused on comedy, but it is extremely thoughtful and rational about its thinking related to the shows they're looking at. If you want to listen to a podcast that stays on topic, is never bitter, and relatively concise about its topics in which each week will bring something new. Canceled Too Soon is a must for any tv fan's podcast library.

    A Giant Wolfman?!?!?!
Followed these guys over from The B Movies Podcast and would pay to listen to them read the phone book. Infinitely entertaining, engaging, and informative. Love the Bibbs and Witney.

Hilarious takes on forgotten shows and/or “best forgotten” shows
Though I would rather they spend more time on older and more outrageous or bizarre series, I still enjoy listening to them riff on stuff I just finished watching last week and too often wish I hadn’t. Keep up the good work and bring on The Night Stalker dang it!
  • Cozy200
    Eh
The premise is awesome but the off topic chatter is way too drawn out and not funny most of the time.
