CatB122!So helpfulI’ve struggled with anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and panic on and off during different phases of my adult life. I’ve seen a few therapists and some have helped and others really haven’t. I found this podcast years ago during one of my struggle periods and I’m very thankful I did. If I’m having a rough day, I browse the episodes and can find something that speaks to me. The content and the knowledge she shares is invaluable when I feel lost and alone and like no one can possibly understand. I feel braver and ready to face the hard things and face myself and things discussed here help me with that. Thank you for doing this podcast.

AndreaC87Excellent podcast!I don’t often leave reviews but I felt obligated to say how great this podcast is especially with my not so great experiences with anxiety/educational podcasts in the past which may have sounded good at first, but then the more I listened, I would notice things pop up that are not evidenced based, someone talking about themselves for half the episode, or other unhelpful things. This has been the first anxiety podcast I have found that has been consistently good, reliable, evidenced based, comforting, and motivating. It’s been a great supplement to therapy. Kimberly is so kind, knowledgeable, and real. ♥️

KeikoG85AmazingI found this channel about a year or so ago, after looking for podcasts to help me deal with my major depressive disorder and my general anxiety.. Recently I listened to ep. 385, and learned something new about myself. I absolutely love what I have learned and feel empowered. My life has been changed by Kimberly, and there are no words to say except thank you so much!! You are amazing!!

Bubbie in HansvillePassionate Compassion With Wisdom For HealingI have been communicating with Kimberly, Quinlan for so many years now. I did this in conjunction with weekly, regular outpatient therapy sessions. She is a young woman that shares her knowledge as comfortably as someone else might share a garden tool. She is a kind soul with so much compassion to help others. Her wisdom is way beyond her years. Listening to her podcasts always make me feel stronger and better equipped to deal with the rocks that life throws at me all the time. Listen to any of her podcasts and you will be hooked to listen to them all! I share them with people all the time. I hope she gives you the same safe, healthy energy I have experienced for years. Take this podcast with you everywhere you go. She will always pick you up and make you feel so tall and strong. Thank you, Kimberly! Ruthie Brenner

Ann-Margaret M.Essential Listening for Those Who Experience AnxietyAs a fellow OCD and anxiety therapist, I cannot recommend Kimberley Quinlan’s “Your Anxiety Toolkit” podcast highly enough to those seeking relief from these conditions. I don’t typically listen to podcasts, but this is a rare find; I regularly recommend episodes to clients and have enjoyed listening myself, always learning new things that can help me both personally and professionally. Each thoughtfully crafted episode is digestible for both clinicians and members of the public with no background in mental health. Kimberley’s voice is friendly and soothing, and she is clearly passionate (and compassionate!) in her approach. Here is what makes the podcast unique: 1) The purity and altruism that characterize Kimberley’s mission to spread therapeutic tools and tips to the wider world. Her podcast has no pesky advertisements to fast forward through (!!). This project is grounded in a spirit of service, humility, and dedication to the mental wellness of the broader public, including those who may otherwise not have access to quality therapeutic tools. 2) The wealth of knowledge Kimberley brings to each episode, grounded in many years of clinical experience; intimate familiarity with theoretical models (CBT, ERP, ACT, self-compassion, etc.); and — perhaps most powerfully — personal wisdom. 3) Each episode’s impeccable organization. There is no fluff or banter. Transcripts are available with main points emphasized. Interview episodes are similarly expertly conducted as she draws out the insight and experiences of each interviewee. Thank you, Kimberley, for this incredible resource!

DannerzzImmense GratitudeThis podcast is a slam dunk every time. Instead of quick fixes and hacks, Kimberly and her expert guests offer wisdom to manage anxiety and ocd in a long term and sustainable way. I started listening to this podcast when I was diagnosed with OCD years ago and I listen to every single episode. I’ll even go back and listen to past episode or dig into the archives to find Kimberly’s wisdom on specific topics. This show has been a saving grace and makes me feel less alone and more powerful in my ocd recovery.

In conjunction with my CBT/ERP therapist this podcast has helped me drill down the science behind what’s happening and gives numerous tips to help you manage your anxiety. As she always says, “it’s a beautiful day to do hard things.” Thank you Kimberly!!

Brenna JayeWords can’t describe the impactAs a busy college student who has always been susceptible to anxiety; Your Anxiety toolkit has been an absolute lifesaver for practicing mindfulness. This podcast has not only increased my understanding of my own mental health related concerns, inspiring me to advocate for my own diagnosis; yet has also introduced me to concepts such as mindfulness, self compassion, and how to practice them effectively. Kimberly’s kind, compassionate, educated information/advice has assisted me IMMENSELY in addressing a multitude of personal concerns. I’ve only been listening for several months, yet have already seen such positive changes surrounding personal awareness of my thought processes. I never imagined I could feel so hopeful :)! Can not articulate the positive impact this has had on my day to day life. Its a beautiful day to do hard things!

Been In Love Since ‘94Kimberly is greatMuch needed information and support on a very difficult topic. Kimberly’s open, down to earth approach is a gift for those of us needing help with OCD. When listening to the podcast it’s like a combination of listening to a trusted caring friend and a very knowledgeable and professional therapist. I highly recommend this podcast as well as Kimberly’s other media and CBT SCHOOL!!
-
HollyGolightly22Life-changing listenThis podcast has changed my life. So much gratitude to Kimberley. I began listening a couple years ago for my anxiety, gaining such useful tools. I have realized through gaining knowledge that I’ve struggled with OCD since I was a child. The self-compassion and knowledge I’ve gained supported me in doing the work and finding my own treatment for my recovery of OCD. I now have an amazing therapist, so much hope, and kindness to myself.
-
erindavis09Great contentI listened to the hopeless episode and found that to ring so true. Everyone struggles with hopelessness. It was helpful to hear that depression includes a lack of enjoyable activities and we should try to do them even if our depression tries to keep us down.

TGS416Kimberley is the G.O.A.T.I pleasantly stumbled upon Kimberley and her podcast at the OCD conference in Austin, Texas. That’s where she gave us information about her podcast and it has absolutely been a game changer for me as well as countless others! She really takes the time each week to show how much she values and supports each and every one of her listeners. I have listened to all of her podcast episodes since the beginning and highly recommend others do the same in their OCD recovery process!
-
therapistlistener123Love it!Such an amazing podcast for anxiety and OCD and much more. Kimberly is amazing at delivering information in easy to understand & concise way, is very knowledgeable, and very compassionate. As a therapist in training I would recommend this podcast to my clients.

TL@2023Where Do I Begin?Kimberly. Friend. I have thought on this review for a long time now. I am going to do my best to keep this concise, as you so often do for your listeners who are desperate for answers. I too, was desperate for answers. When I stumbled upon your podcast I found answers, and so much more. I found something I didn’t know I was missing; unconditional love and support. Listening to you share your knowledge and hope has been a true gift. I was stuck in anxiety and allowing it to make my decisions. I began listening to your podcast daily on my walks and it has truly been a lifeline. It grounded me when I felt I had no anchor. The genuine care and passion you have for your work is a gift. I am healing and I help to heal. You’re podcast and trainings have served me in my personal life as well as in my journey as an ever-learning and ever-growing therapist. You are inspiring and I hope to reflect the same love, passion, and care that you have mastered. T.

LAM610106Crucial tool alongside therapyKimberly’s podcast has been a crucial tool for me as I navigate my fairly new OCD diagnosis. There is only so much we can cover in once per week therapy, and this podcast brings in so many different perspectives and tools! So often when I’m struggling to navigate some aspect of my recovery, I find that Kimberly had made an episode about it! Especially because I mostly have mental compulsions, which can feel so slippery to navigate. Kimberly helps me feel less alone and more hopeful in those moments when I feel overwhelmed or like I’ll never get better. Thank you!
-
AutismAdhdVery Informative and PracticalKimbetly Quinlan is a beacon of knowledge and compassion for Anxiety disorders and OCD.

sheartsmYou need to subscribe to this podcast! This podcast is super helpful for OCD and anxiety surrounding it. Kimberly is a compassionate voice and brings in additional experts to help navigate the muddy waters of mental health. I’m so thankful for your podcasts, Dr. Kimberly!! ❤️

MikehillslasvegFantasticWhat a helpfully fantastic podcast
-
amy cerraProvides so much support!I was diagnosed with OCD at 10 years old, but lived largely unaffected by it throughout my 20s. Now in my 30s and as a working mom, my OCD has recently flared up, understandably so with having to wear so many hats. I’m in ERP therapy which has been super helpful, but whenever I need a little added support or encouragement, I turn on this podcast and it really boosts my confidence to keep fighting that good fight and not letting OCD control my life. Thank you so much Kimberly for helping me to always pursue my values and for providing me with so much hope. I can’t recommend this podcast, as well as Kimberly’s Self Compassion & OCD workbook, enough!
-
Carrie24GraceSo grateful!Just started listening but this podcast has been a lifesaver. It is very to the point in addressing almost all my OCD questions. Thank you!! You are so kind to share the wisdom you have and have gleaned from your practice. So appreciative!
-
PhyllisJoy4Thank you!My therapist recommended your “compassionate letter” and I have been listening to you every since. Thank you for sharing your wealth of information!
-
painter of dogsYour podcast is so helpful to meI just want to say thank you Kimberly for sharing your expertise. Your podcast has truly helped me. I’m 64 years old and have suffered from anxiety for as long as I can remember. I’ve led a full and happy life, but I have suffered mostly in silence feeling anxious and not knowing why or how to deal with it. The episode that you explained anxiety is in your dna was a huge eye opener for me, as most of my family has anxiety issues. It explains so much and makes me feel so much better. Thank you for all that you do.
-
michelleiscoolSoothing podcast, truly a lifesaver!I typically do not write reviews but I HAD to for this podcast. I never struggled with anxiety until I had my second child in 2021. I tried to manage it myself and that worked at first, but it seemed to be getting harder and harder as time went on doing it alone. With two kids under 3, working full time, trying to spend quality time with my husband, and find time for myself, I have been very overwhelmed and anxious with trying to juggle it all. Kimberley’s podcast has not only given me the tools needed to cope with my anxiety, it has also given me tools to help acknowledge when my anxiety is coming on. Being able to notice my anxiety before it turns into a full blown panic has been a lifesaver. She provides AMAZING insight and her voice is so soothing! This podcast has helped me become a better mom, wife, and person. I can’t live without it.

Michigan FountainLife Affirming ListenI made several big life changes this year that were quite scary for me (leaving a dream job after only a year, starting my PhD, and moving with my husband back to our home state). All of these changes were the right ones for me and my family, but I had a lot of anxiety about my ability to navigate them and keep my mental health in check. I found the Your Anxiety Toolkit after searching for a resource that would help me during this time of big transition and it has CHANGED MY LIFE. The tools, encouragement, and yes, accountability Kimberley provides throughout the podcast have allowed me to do more hard things in 6 months than I’ve done in years. Whenever I feel anxiety kick in, I pop on a relevant episode and do the work. It never fails to help me feel more objective about my fears and prepared to move forward. I go to my new “toolkit” nearly everyday, and am DOING THE HARD THINGS!
-
Valmomof2Excellent Tool for TherapistsI use this podcast as an adjunct to the therapy I provide and my clients find it so helpful. I find listening to this podcast, along with completing Kimberly’s courses in CBT School, really helps move clients along the road to recovery.
-
RunhunMy #1 podcastThis podcast has enhanced my life in so many ways. I have generalized anxiety disorder and OCD. Now I’m doing ‘hard things’ that I used to run away from. Just this week I got my blood drawn after having nightmares about it and went to a haunted house with family and was able to get through it and feel proud. Thank you, Kimberly. I love hearing you talk and explore all the topics people with ocd assume they suffer from alone. Today I did hard things and I’m so proud.
-
Newgirl2123!So helpful!I am newer to this podcast, and had been listening to another anxiety podcast. I feel like they have been so helpful in my healing journey with anxiety. I can relate SO much to the material that is being talked about, and it is so relieving to know that there somewhere I can go for additional help. Thank you so much Kimberly! The work you do here is so important and has already helped me so much. I look forward to hearing more!
-
vhflowergirlMental compulsions seriesMy therapist sent me one of your podcasts on mental compulsions. As a result I listened to the whole series & it was wonderful. It opened my eyes & filled my heart. Looking forward to implementing some of the practices.

L.A. fanThank youMy review disappeared just as I was finishing. I'll try again,To thank you for sharing your chronic illness experience. Your illness is much more debilitating than mine, but it was so supportive just to listen. When you went to your closet choosing black, all I could think was, "choose yellow!" It's been a major tool of mine, with yellow in every direction I look in this little studio apt room, and on my car Dash it's a beautiful fake sunflower. Keep choosing that yellow skirt, and smiling. Love your podcast and your posts. Thank you thank you. sending big love, hope, and thanks.💛💛💛
-
Tristramshandy1378LifesaverI stumbled across your podcast recently. I have been through therapy with Anxiety and panic and I have a high stress job that I love, but I needed to continue my journey to recovery and be reminded of all the skills that are available to help me along the way. Your online courses and your amazing podcast reminded me the most important part of the process is to love myself, before, during, and after my episodes of intense anxiety and that everyday is a “Beautiful day to do Hard things .”
-
Susan in PlanoA life preserver!Kimberly, your podcast has been such a help to me as I pursue recover from a particularly active and pesky flare-up of my OCD. Diagnosed in 2007, I have just this year found an incredible therapist who specializes in anxiety and OCD. Your podcast encourages me to keep doing the hard things, makes me laugh, and assists me in realizing just how much company travels on this road (even when it feels lonely and isolating). I am profoundly grateful for your work, and I have personally recommended this podcast to at least ten people. Thank you so much.
-
detroitreview99Soothing strategiesThank you, I just started listen today 10/7/2022 after having a few weeks of anxiety and irregular thoughts that I never experienced. I randomly chose your podcast and am thankful for your experience, knowledge and personal and situations, as a 46 year old father of 2 boys and loving wife, your podcast gives me a sense of calming, I’m taking notes on each cast, while I started with the most recent, I have listen to #301/302/303 and they have already given me strategies that I’m using. I decided to start from your first podcast in 2016 and begin my journey with your journey to those who follow you. I have been so impressed and listed to 1-2 daily, today 10/11, I just listed to episode 12 so I have many to listen to but am so grateful for you, the meditations are amazing, keep up your great work and eventually I’ll catch up to your most relevant podcast, but for now I’m listening, learning and using your medical expertise and experiences to work through my anxiety. #SoGrateful Michael

Sybil CrossCompassionate and competent careMy ERP therapist recommended this podcast to me and I love it! It is both educational and supportive. It helps me learn more about my OCD and feel comforted, all while retaining its therapeutic value. Thank you for all your hard work and love, Kimberly!
-
TriphonikLove this podcast!!Kimberley’s podcast is so inspirational, relatable & helpful. I have been dealing with ocd since my early 20s. Went through extensive therapy, medications & lots of prayer! I got to the point where my ocd was not taking over my life anymore & hardly noticeable. I’m now 43 & have recently gone through some lapses with it after all these years. It really shook me to the core. Following Kimberley’s anxiety toolkit podcast has helped me get back on track with the tools I’ve learned from my past along with some new ones! Her spirit and level of sincerity with the knowledge & experience she has helped me so much! I’m so incredibly grateful to have found this podcast. Thank you Kimberley!
-
austin-mangReally helped me prepare for therapy!I finally did it and signed up for therapy. My first session is this Friday. I’ve been doing my best to prepare but was so uncertain about what to expect my first session to be like. This show helped me know exactly what to expect and gave me some great mindset tools going into it. Thank you!
-
SydneytenneyIncredible resource! What an incredible resource this podcast is! Thank you for sharing all of this information so freely…you’re truly making a difference in so many lives, including mine! (I am also reading/working through your book and LOVE it. You nailed it in marrying OCD work with self compassion work - what a gift!!!)
-
young math mommaBEST podcast for a daily mindset resetThis podcast was recommended to me by my therapist, and it is one of my favorite “homework assignments” to help me have a good mindset and feel inspired to try my best. I’ve learned so much great information from Kimberley, but the most important thing, in my opinion, is that I feel motivated to improve one small thing every time I listen. I’m taking better care of myself, which helps me take better care of my family.
