This is a good show, but please ban Lila Bromberg from saying “tournament” ever again. This is by far her favorite word and she mispronounces it 20 to 30 times per episode. I want to poke out my eardrums whenever she does this. Is she mangling this word on purpose?

Always love listening to the Chiefs gang break down the pst Sunday performances or the following game look ahead. HOWEVER - I can’t take the HERBIE issues anymore. It has become a pattern of shoddy audio that is exclusive to HIS set-up. Unfortunately, this totally interrupts the flow of analysis and, quite honestly, makes for a poor listen during his moments of speech. One has no choice but to question the professionalism of the Podcast at this point. Are you telling me there is no solution to Herbie’s constant audio static? Or his constant issues with being heard/seen in general? Come on, guys. I love the content! The production HAS to get better. There simply is no longer any excuses for the recurring distractions. And it’s only with Herbie’s setup. Either HE needs to remedy the problems or the production staff needs to resolve it. When that happens - zero complaints!!!!

As always, great Chiefs content but audio seeme a bit off today...maybe problem on my end.

Listen to this if you’re desperate for KC STAR sports opinions, but be prepared for a bunch of “woke” writers that are Peter King wannabes. Think of any liberal cause that can inject into sports and these are your guys to listen. They aren’t happy if there isn’t controversy, so they work hard to create them by projecting national wokeness into everything KC. Somehow the listener is supposed to feel the writers are heroes for staying up for a late deadline, working on a holiday, traveling to other NFL cities, etc. Maybe they should try working for a job.

The KC Star has had the best sports page in America for years, and this podcast is an extension of the page. Blair is the perfect, substantive host and the guests and fellow writers are consistently great. Finally, this is not a “5 minutes of substance” podcast. There is a great natural flow to the podcast, an ease, but not full of inside jokes and things the listener wouldn’t get. Keep it up. Great stuff.

Blair Kerkhoff does an excellent job of hosting thoughtful, insightful, and cogent discussions of all things (KC) sports. They crew understands the culture of the city, and how it intersects with the local teams. I also appreciate their ability to bring up relevant statistics and factoids without getting bogged down too deep in numbers. While I’m not a big fan of the rest of the KC Star, I very much enjoy this podcast, and recommend it.

This group of reporters has been covering KC sports for a long time and it definitely shows. Blair is an excellent host and all of the reporters are terrific. They have excellent chemistry and bring great insight about the local teams. If you need a way to keep up with the Chiefs, Royals, KU, K-State, MU, Sporting KC or any other local team, this is the best way to do so.

Really knowledgeable and thoughtful on sports in KC.

I love listening to the chiefs related podcasts by the KC Star reporters. They offer insights you can’t get elsewhere because they know how to write and they are actually physically around the team. But there are two big roadblocks to a top rating. First, almost every podcast is a day or two later than other similar podcasts, even if it is recorded the night of the game. They need to be released next day or day after at most. Sorry Brooke, this may be on you. Second, every single podcast has had sound issues- big volume level differences between the contributors. Usually Lynn (spelling) can’t be heard. If you are going to take time to release the podcast, at least the sound should be levelized! Keep up the great work, but please improve your production!

Chiefs postgame shows should be up the day after the game. Don’t want to listen to AZ vs KC recap 3 days after the game.

Love the podcast, especially when it’s about the Chiefs. Terez knows his stuff, and when he doesn’t, he knows who to talk to to get the 411. I also listen to the Facebook live shows. This episode provided some insight into our new people. Keep up the great work.

The KU Hoops pod by Jessie and C.J. is insightful and funny. Every week I learn more about the game I’ve lived since I was 5. Their use if stats and their reluctance to rely solely on them makes this a must listen for any basketball fan.

This is my go to podcast on Kansas sports (which clearly means it leans very heavily on basketball). In fact, if there isn't a new podcast weekly that I can listen to on my drive to the game, my family gets really really sad. What's great is the chemistry between the two and the authentic analysis they provide that goes way beyond what can be written in a column. And if you are stat geek, well, Jesse has you covered by a mile. They aren't homers and tell it like it is. ..especially CJ who claimes he would beat Jesse one on one 10-2 (if that). If you are a Jayhawk fan, this is the podcast for you.

Love this. One of the best KU hoops podcast out there and I listen to all of them. The only gripe is that there aren't enough of them.

The Kansas Basketball podcast with Jesses and CJ is fantastic! Always provide good insight into Jayhawk basketball and a look around the Big 12. The life lessons as an adult in their thirties is also fantastic!

Bringing the juice every week, the A-Team is an absolute must listen for any KC Chiefs fan. Captained by Chiefs beat writer Terez Paylor, the A-Team provides weekly content including interviews with opposing team’s beat writers, pre-game breakdowns of key matchups, after-game analysis/takeaways, and responding to audience questions. Whether the game ended in triumph or tribulation, the A-Team always delivers a wealth of knowledge while maintaining a fun environment reminiscent of joking with your best buddies. In my opinion, it’s not the information or insight that makes this podcast unique, as there are several other Chiefs podcast available that offer decent content. What makes the A-Team special is the interpersonal chemistry. You can tell simply by listening that these guys really enjoy being around each other. Their humorous dialogue and interplay usually crescendos with Terez Paylor’s booming laugher, which is both awesome and contagious. It’s like dominos, once an A-Team member starts busting up laughing, all of them do – and it’s very difficult not to join them. Finally, I am a huge fan of anyone who does decent impersonations…and Terez possesses quite an impressive repertoire. Although his Patrick Mahomes’s impression still needs work, Terez delivers a spot-on Andy Reid, Justin Houston, and my personal favorite, Gozer from Ghostbusters 1 (not kidding). Enough said, 5 stars isn’t enough, a million percent amazing podcast!

There is nothing better than hearing about my Chiefs from standout reporters who also happen to be friends. Good stuff, they do impressions of chiefs players and personnel and also talk about the games some. Sometimes the audio quality is kinda trash when there's a call to some other beat writer, but it's good content if you can make it out.
