Al Hunt referred to the Signal chat as a “call” more than once. He also said we can hear Tulsi Gabbard’s voice on a recording. Unless I missed something, this was a text chat on the commercial Signal app. There was no call. There is no recording. Al sounds as clueless about modern technology as Trump. It was also not Jeff Greenfield. It was Jeffrey Goldberg. Guess James didn’t catch these gaffes since he didn’t say anything.

I LOVE this pod cast but the background noise is horrible!! James find a room in your house that has a door so you can block out the background noise and turn your phone on SILENT!

This is is one of my favorite podcasts—always thoughtful, lively, great guests. My only complaint is the noise is James’ background. I love his wife, but not when I can hear her in while the podcast is going on, or when texts are pinging. Very distracting. Otherwise, I anxiously await this podcast each week

While I respect our heart and James Carval and I’ve been a faithful listener, I no longer will be insensitive comments about Al Green looking like a fool standing up to our dictator. King totally contradicts everything he seems to stand for was it not right for him to stand up for people who arebeing threatened by losing their Medicaid especially in his poor district in Texas you sound out of touch and old James also borders on this consistently open your mind guys Democratic party has been in trouble forever. Somebody has to say something he wasn’t wrong. Irresponsible journalism, and frankly disrespectful.

Who is producing the show and allowing James’s wife to be choking in the background and not helping her?

This quickly became one of my favorite podcasts. Carville and Hunt know everybody and have the depth of experience to cut through the noise and make sense of the firehouse of issues and developments that the scary/upending Trump administration brings.

At 1:00:19, I heard a toilet flush in James’ audio. Surely not? Say it’s not so.

James I just read your words about President Biden. If you think he needs to be quiet and move on I implore you to do the same. I have been with your podcast from the beginning but today I’m moving on. You brought this on yourself

I love James point of view and generally agree with it. You’re a jewel and I look forward to you and Al being a thorn in republicans sides.

I don’t agree with most of Al and James’ views, but I still hear them out. I think James Carville is Mario Andretti stuck driving a ‘60s VW bus full of idiots.

Love hearing James’ takes but please guys, hire a professional audio engineer to set you both up with quality mics and to get your levels balanced. I often can’t make it through the show because Al is so loud and James is barely audible. Otherwise great show.

The Washington Post suppressing the Harris endorsement, then Bezos falling over himself in a tweet, prostrating before Trump, was a disgrace. Your lengthy Washington Post ads, I believe, are not a good look.

You pushed out Biden and gave us Trump! We told you what would happen if we abandoned the 81 Million Vote ticket of Biden-Harris but you arrogant elites knew better. Biden is the only Democrat who had a chance of winning Pennsylvania (won it by 81,000 in 2020) Michigan (won it by 125,000) and Wisconsin won it by 30,000). You never gave Biden credit for ending the 20 year war in Afghanistan. Now Shut Up and Enjoy four more years of President Trump! It’s your victory. Congrats!

I am a longtime politico turned college professor. I highly recommended this podcast to my US politics students and to everyone else who wants to learn about the practice of politics from the pros!

An excellent podcast about political talking points. I especially enjoy James Carville because he’s not only very wise, he also speaks the average person’s language on tough topics, meaning he’s REAL, but he’s very smart and don’t you ever forget that! You can trust his knowledge and words.

Despite the fact that there are so many extraneous noises going on (the notification pings are so loud in the air pods) and that James gives accolades to Rahm (please stop, you may like him as a friend but 4th generation Chicagoan here and I can confidently say Rahm was the worst mayor in modern times), I still love to listen to James.

For the love of God how hard is it to silence your text notifications. Shouldn’t have to say this

I love this podcast!!

I don’t understand why such a great podcast is not properly recorded. Sometimes I just have to give up and stop listening. Can anything be done? Can you get a sound engineer… an intern?

Granted, these two gentlemen know more about politics than I could ever aspire to, but their commentary comes across as just as negative and inflammatory as their conservative counterparts and misogynistic to boot. VP Harris represents a positive, proactive change and I’ll look to other podcasts that hold that energy instead of this one.

If anyone wants to have fun and hear James and Al discuss just good common sense issues , you should listen to this pods podcast. I can’t wait to listen every Thursday. Thank so much

Al’s fear based rhetoric during the podcast is disappointing but not surprising and I expect more from James. Today is a sad day for democracy because of podcasts like this where they peddle the ‘I know what’s best for America’ agenda based on POLLING.

I support Biden. I will not listen to Biden bashing. I’m out.
