I like to review that was funny! You inspired me I'm watching this thing, I mean listening, at 1.5 speed. You're right it's not too bad you just got to speed it up

I was very excited to find this podcast and downloaded the first 30 episodes at once. When I began to listen to it, my ears were assaulted with the most terrible reading of anything serious I've ever heard. The man reading speaks aaaasssss sssllloooowwwwlllyyy as a teacher reading to a group of 1st semester elderly ESL (English as a Second Language) students, and ridiculously over-dramatic. At first I thought he was kidding. Then I though it was just the intro. But, no. He drones on and on in this laborious, tedious, terrible tone that makes it nearly unbearable to sit through and nearly impossible to digest. I am so focused on the pain of his voice that I have hardly retained any of what he said. He spaces the words so far apart, they cease to be sentences and become their own random, ominous narrations. Good things come to those who wait though. I Checked the other episodes and he only reads the first three. That lasts about 1 hour and 10 minutes. So far, I've been strong and steadfast. I am determined to learn the history of this ancient mythical civilization. I've made it through eleven minutes so far. I will treat this as some trial thrust upon me by the ancient gods in my quest for wisdom... It's the only way I can make it through. I think this is why there are no other reviews. No one could take it. It seems like a worthwhile book, though. Wish me luck. Here I go.
