I’ve been listening to this podcast for around 4 years now, it’s genuinely the only one I can sit through. I took some time away from listening due to person reasons but I’m now working a boring desk job and music can just get repetitive and so I started listening again! Hunter is not only a great friend but a great host and puts so much effort into the show. I recommend the podcast to anyone I know! 🩵

I was super interested in this podcast. Then 10 minutes into my first episode the case hadn’t been mentioned. They then started, then went off on a 10 minute tangent about super powers. We also don’t need a trigger warning every 2 minutes. We’re listening to a true crime podcast. One warning is more than enough. I wanted to like it, but it’s so disorganized for being so well researched.

Very interesting, great topics and hunter is an awesome storyteller, so glad that I found this podcast

Whether you are an avid listener or just stopping by to listen to an episode or two every episode is an in-depth look into each case and never disappoints! I Can proudly say I have listened to murder and such for a few years and always come back and even re listen to some episodes, definitely a must listen!

Hunter is the ultimate chef’s kiss of true crime podcasts. He genuinely cares about the victims and families of those as well. His cat Vincent, also very cute!!!

I dont usually do reviews but It has been MONTHS since there has been a new episode and wondering when/if it will be coming back or if it is time to find another?

A well researched and interesting show, for sure! I only have one qualm - as a fan of Super Troopers, it’s “desperation is a stinky cologne,” not “jealousy.” Still a big fan tho! Just had to point it out bc it was driving me bananas😂

The first episode, I listen to was the toy box guy. Oh my! That shirt got me hooked. What was interesting was that Hunter sounds exactly the same whether he’s reading that script. Or he is speaking as himself. Scary. Anyway, this is a really interesting podcast so far so you’ve got my five stars :-)

Obnoxious is an understatement. My God he’s annoying. Cross an insolent toddler with a manic millennial who just learned cuss words. It’s ALL about him! Me me me, listen to me me me. He has no self control, no focus. And beyond ignorant. Some of the nonsense opinions he spouts are just dangerous. No business doing a podcast. What a mess. He needs help.

Thank you for doing such a wonderful podcast! It’s not always easy to find a true crime podcast that you feel like you know the host personally, but also doesn’t delve a ton into side chat. I love your work!

I tried and I tried and I tried. It my true listening fashion I started at the podcast’s first episode and went forward. This was after hearing the brutal story about of Sarah and her poor dogs. Hunter swears like a 9 year old that just learned how to curse. His jokes aren’t funny and trying to keep up with his ADHDesque talking patterns is exhausting. I listened to the first twenty episodes in my morning and evening commutes. I can listen to pretty much anything, but this one doesn’t take the cake- it takes the entire dessert display box.

Absolutely love this podcast! I had a baby back in November of last year and dealt with a bit of postpartum depression and needed to try something new. I work on overnights and typically listened to music as I was cleaning and decided to try podcasts instead and got yours as a suggestion on pandora when looking up true crime. I’ve loved it from the very beginning. Hunter really goes all out with details and actual clips from each and every case he covers. I love how he connects himself with most stories and gives details in to his own life and shows that there is a better path than what some of these people chose instead. I love your views on the world and how much you advocate for mental health, depression, and letting people be who they want to be (as long as it’s consensual and not hurting anyone). Although you almost lost me with your dislike of Avril Lavigne, but we’ll just agree to disagree there 😂. Truly love the show and have even suggested some of my friends to try it out as well. I hope you continue with this show and please never change! I’m almost caught up and plan to join patreon when I do. (Also coming from someone who lives in Florida I love when you mention how all the crazies come down here, you’re absolutely right about that one 😂😂 )

EPS 92 and 93 were painful to listen to. This woman allowed this evil man to do what he did. She is despicable and should’ve broke up with him at date ONE.

I just started listening from the beginning about three weeks ago. I listen to 15 different true crime podcast and this is definitely My top 2. You guys are awesome and and absolutely hilarious. Keep up the good work and I love you guys. Send me stickers lol

Hunter should not conduct victim interviews again. I just finished listening to episode 93 and the way he centered his crying in the middle of Sarah’s story is disgusting. He acknowledges that he shouldn’t be putting his feelings at the forefront and then does it again. Sarah is way too gracious as she ends up apologizing for the matter. Also the constant warning to the horrible content we are about to hear doesn’t sound sincere. I wish episode 93 didn’t contain any of Hunter’s commentary because he clearly centers himself instead of the VICTIM.

I love this podcast! I’ve been listening for a while now, I was born and raised in Wichita, Ks. I really enjoyed the episode covering the Wichita Massacre. It’s an interesting story, that was happening miles from me as I was growing up. I’ve found stories on this podcast I’ve never heard before. Hunter is an awesome host! I also relate I just have a job so I can buy treats for my cat. One of my favorite podcast!

Been listening since the beginning, just never had apple whatever to review! Hunter is a solid dude. Pretty good research and production value. In fact I’ve been listening since the previous co-host and it was a little rocky when she left but I do like the way you’ve adapted the show man and proud of you for keeping going. Simply one of the best true crime podcast. He gives it to straight without the sugarcoating ... Very in depth so listen with discretion, but trust me you will get hooked.

With every well researched episode he brings a little of himself & isn’t afraid to be vulnerable (but also has a good sense of humor when it’s called for). Love the content, the thoroughness, but the joint podcasts with the both of you are incredibly difficult to stick with. Too much banter and unnecessary info. What would normally take 1 hour turns into 2.5 and it’s a turn off. On further thought….Hunter…your podcasts are okay, alone, but Haley— unbearable. It’s awful.

Gonna join the Patreon because of episode 90 alone. The host is raw, passionate and does an amazing job sharing the story and even sharing bits of himself during. I love it.

This podcast is great. I’m pretty picky about the voices I let in my ear (lol) and Hunter actually has a great voice and conveniently has a great show. I started listening about 2 months ago and I’m almost up to date. 10/10 Also I actually found this show through my best friend from Texas, however, I live in Dayton too.

Obnoxious banter every other word is the f word … takes forever to get into the story. Don’t waste your time.

I’ve went from crazed fan girl to a genuine internet friend with Hunter. Listening and watching him grow over the last two years has been..rewarding and he’s taught me a lot. He feeds my forensic niche, comes through with hard facts and audio, and always delivers, keeping the victims and the families of the victims in mind and truly tells their story and keeps the memory of them alive. Hunter has also taught me and I’m sure a lot of his patrons/listeners about mental health and strength as well. There’s been times where I’ve been barley hanging on, and he’s never too busy to help me see more clearly. Watching him grow more humble and become vulnerable truly inspires me. He claims his goal is to deliver a story and to also help people, and so far, he’s exceeded expectations. I truly have mad love for you dude. You help me and others more than you know. I love this podcast! Hunter, your voice is perfect for this. I may not always agree with your views but that’s ok. We are not meant to be clones of each other. The diversity in our thoughts and views are pretty much what makes this world go round. You are truly a good person. You are so compassionate and it is very evident just listening to you speak about these victims that you hurt for them and their families. You did something for me and I want to thank you. I won’t go into the details but you told a story that really made me take a step back and reevaluate my own views on the topic. Now I have an even broader understanding of the issue and hopefully others do as well. It’s the diversity in our thoughts and views that we can learn from if we just hear each other out. You speak often about your own mental health struggles and I hope you know how awesome you are for recognizing you need help and getting that help. I have never met you, just a true crime fan that stumbled across your pod cast a few weeks ago and decided to binge every single episode. I LOVE the improvements you have made by adding in the music. I was sad when Haley decided to leave and I worried about you. But you took the show and turned it into something extraordinary! Keep up the amazing work.

My new favorite, I wish I’d heard episode 56 while I was going through PPD. Host is thoughtful, reasonable and concise. You can tell the research Hunter does is above average for a TC pod in my opinion. Great listen!
