  • I do not like this now 245
    Too long, too often, too much wasted time
    There is some SEO content and news of value here and it was fine when it posted daily 12 minute posts I could forgive it’s bloat. Now it’s often 25/30 minutes with additional ads. Here’s how I listen to this. 2x speed. Skip the first 3.5 minutes which is all intro and ads. They sneak ‘one minute’ of ads halfway through at random. It is always 2 minutes so I skip 2 minutes and if I miss the start of the next question I mumble ‘we’ll that’s on you’. Then it ends with 2.5 minutes left. Can’t tell you what they say, I never stay to listen. Occasional good insight but this should be a weekly 25 minute podcast not a daily 20 mi Ute podcast clearly designed to get listeners with quantity over quality. Literally the opposite of an expert SEO mindset just saying

    Great start!
    Really liked the tempo and the general conversation of the first episode. I see good things moving forward for the show. My thoughts: - The text transcript copy below each episode could use on page text anchors sorted by Ben’s questions so it makes reading more user-friendly instead of one big block of copy. - With the focus going to be on driving search value for business, I really like a podcast that speaks to business leaders (CMOS, in-house marketing leaders, content strategists) and case studies around specific business problems solved via search strategy . Topics don’t have to be Searchmetrics specific, but I would hate to see this podcast go down the rabbit hole of only diving out of what’s new in search. If the audience is business leaders, the conversation needs to speak to ROI and how it was achieved. Keep the great content coming!
