    Sad day...
I really miss these guys!! I don't know what these stupid people below are saying but I was excited every time they came out with an episode! It's depressing if they never come back. These non fun people below are really just old and boring and would rather listen to techie crap.

It's been a few months and no updates... what happened?

    Awful...
Sarah Lane and Martin, might be interesting, I thought. Then I listened. I wish I didn't. God awful waste of an hour of my life. They try to be funny but end up just sounding stupid. I know both of them are smarter then this. I love twit any many if the other shows, but this, this almost drove me insane.

    The fun is still here
Great podcast. I really hope twif comes back soon...

    The fun is gone
Used to love the show. I think Martin is an unhappy person and Sarah (while cute and fun) agrees too much to be a counterweight. The ripping on Steve Gibson, Revision3, and Kevin Rose, was funny but is now more mean spirited than "fun". Then they pick a fight with NSFW (who are up for a "fight") but never bring it. This Week WAS Fun...

    Ouch.
    Tragic.

    What are they talking about???
There's no show organization. They can't even stay on one topic. I wish Sarah Lane would find a new gig because this makes her look bad.
  • Kuteboy1096
    Wth?
The constant interupting and trying to talk over each other is horribly annoying. I had to quit listening after a minute in to episode 47.

    I liked
I really enjoyed this show. Martin Sargent is the Internet.

If only I'd found them sooner...
While I enjoy all the TWiT.tv podcasts I subscribe to, I must say this one is my absolute favorite. I downloaded one episode to tryout on a short drive and was laughing so hard when I reached my destination I had to calm down before going in. Sarah Lane & Martin Sargent make a great duo, and keep the laughs coming. Like Sarah, I too am an only child who spoke into a tape player in my bedroom when I was young. I played them for my parents and other friends. I was born before my time! Keep up the terrific work guys! You make my weekend get off to a great start!

    These two have Chemistry!
Great show. Love the other TWIT podcast, but this one breaks the mold under "leo's" tech house of goodies; you can oly take so much of the de-fraggin. The banter between these two are what keeps the show progressing week after week! Leo is lucky that Rev3/KR didn't see the chemistry that makes the show work. I hope these two aren't pulled away to do other projects. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK SL & MS!! SL kick that tumors Arrsss PPLLLEEAASSEE!! shout out from Michigan!!

Good production values, but often misses the mark
It's Sarah stripped of practicality or useful facts, and Martin docking his natural raunchy humor at every turn. Where's the after hours vibe? Where are the comedy writer(s)? Where's the sponsor. It feels like two tech and bar loving hipsters forced to do a kids show, except if you imagined that it would have been funnier, because they'd be getting pissed off at the restrictions and doing their own thing. It's like a nerdy, lukewarm morning zoo show. The fact that their live chat room is regulated to be family friendly is a tremendous unfunny joke. The hosts curse occasionally, but you'll get kicked from the chat room doing the same to describe a joke. This show should at least be PG-13. It feels like Leo has done a deserved favor to his old co-workers, I wish that they could cut loose some more and make a richer show, and that should attract some advertisers too. Like a humorous T-shirt website, or a brewery. Twit needs to get their act together more. Will they as they transition to downloadable video, it remains to be seen.

Martin and Sarah never would of put them in a studio together... for Sarah's safety
but Martin is one of the funniest, quickest, minds in the U.S. Great to hear him anytime, anywhere. Long time fan of Sarah - she plays an admirable foil to his semi out of control hijinx. Hope you stay on for a long time.

I am sorry to have to do this, but this podcast wasted my time. Perhaps I am not into the same "fun" that Sarah and Martin are into, but they seem like two totally unaccountable human beings carrying on without a script. So, I recognize that accountability is not the same thing as "fun". I guess I just didn't have any fun spending my precious time listening to the podcast!

The morning drivetime show of TWIT
I normally love everything I have seen both of the hosts on and mostly everything I've heard on TWIT. I hated this show. It seemed to be going for the morning drivetime segment. I shun it. I love Martin Sargent's Web Drifter shows.
  • Matt Bettes
    Caution: Habit-forming
Unstructured, unscripted, easy to listen to. Martin and Sarah can argue sometimes like two grown siblings. Not sure why I listened the first time but now I am hopelessly addicted.
  • DermotMulrony
    Ehhh
I'm a huge Martin Sargent fan. and been watching Sara for years. but got to be honest. This isn't working and is often awkward to listen to. Marty seems held back from doing the work he's best known for. I'd give anything for Martin and the Gator to do INFECTED again. Now that was brilliant podcasting. I've listened to each episode at least 3 times. I can't remember how many times I've cried laughing. Marty and Sara just don't make a good team like Jay and him do.
  • Banrman
    My ears are bleeding
I tried (really) over 30 episodes. I couldn't put up with the constant profanity and overly sexual language. Hay it's their show and they can do what they want. Why doesn't iTunes lable it as explicit? To top it off it isn't funny....at all. Lets see if this one get on.
  • Thebitingcat
Needs more fun, more employable Marty
Every time I listen to this it seems like it follows the same pattern: Introductions, Martin complains he's unemployed, jealous of Sarah about something she's doing later, light talk of light news, True or Pooh, more griping by Martin, Tweet Beat, the lightning round sound effect with "preview", the anagram joke, Sarah wondering why they're still friends, and Kevin Rose bashing. Nonetheless, it's still entertaining enough to keep me interested. At least the material is fresh.
  • Rassputin
    Very Enjoyable
I love this podcast. It is entertaining, light and witty. Despite the description, why do people complain that this podcast is not entertaining? I guess you have to have some intelligence to understand the podcast, and therefore enjoy it! Keep it up Martin and Sarah!
  • emily grae
    I love sarah
But not enough to listen to this crap anymore. Get rid of martin, maybe that'll help, dunno.
  • Jdurant77
    Awesome show!
I love this podcast. Makes my day more fun!
  • Msimmons
    Always entertaining.
This show is awesome, good break from all of the defraggin, and updating of the kernals.
  • Ba11s
You should at least give this a shot.
Considering Sarah and Martin are 34 episodes in and they still don't have a regular sponsor, it seems that they are in it for the long haul. With thier new lightning round Tweetbeat it really is a great show that I never miss.
  • zayl
    Great to see them back
Just discovered this show can't stop listening, great show glad to see Martin and Sarah back on the internets

A pointless waste of time and bandwidth
I really wanted to like this because I have liked Sarah on other shows... but, I have listened to a few episodes and nothing about this show is fun or interesting. Sorry, but it's not good and doesn't belong in the tech news category since tech news almost never comes up in this podcast.
  • jeffere
What it says it is - fun!
This is a show that is essentially about nothing specific - it's just two likeable people in tech talking about whatever. I for one really, really enjoy it - it's a fun way to wrap up the week. Most of the negative reviews are missing the point.
  • Fabulos jay
    Love the show
I think what sets this show apart from the rest is Martin's fabulous discussion on Gay issues, he may not be a twink, but he sure has a hotness about himself. Total butch Sarah adds a touch of masculinity to the show (who knew that Kevin Rose was her beard). Favorite discussion is when Martin talks about successfully bottoming with a guy named horse.

    Dull as Dishwater
I have loved Sarah since her days on the Screensavers and I'll listen to just about anything she is on ... but ... TWiF is just dull. No direction or theme and little information to pass along. Sorry to pan you guys in public.
  • Shodan13
    Awesome
Great energy between the hosts, great fun all around. Don't ever change!
  • Maxjla
    this is my favorite podcast
this is two people who loved on other shows, and love even more together! I love Sarah Lane and Marty Sargent could be my long lost brother. This podcast is solid entertainment for an hour. Other might not dig it but I know both host personalities so well, it is even funnier to me. But begin back True or Poo every week, I need it. I want to force everyone on the planet to listen to them. Love it. Love it Love it.

    TWIF
When I first started listening to This Week In Fun I was either inebriated or on the brink of sleep. Since then I have learned the pleasures of listening to it live on Friday afternoons. Amazing show highly recommended.
  • realchrisdev
    Good job
A really funny show Sarah and Martin have good chemistry and the show is a welcome change from the other “hard” tech shows on Leo's network. Maybe they could consider inviting guests on the show to add to the hilarity
  • Sinu Sekhar

    Not so much
I have never written a podcast review, but I felt compelled to on this one. I tried to listen to this, and I couldn't make it all the way through. I wish I had the last hour of my life back. Both Martin and Sarah try to get through funny stories, but each boring commentary takes so long it is almost killed me. I try not to get personal, but Sarah Lane's voice is like fingernails on a chaulkboard. It makes me want to cry. If you guys want to make this better, get through more fun stories. I can't believe Leo allows his brand to be attached to this one. Sorry guys. No fun for me.
  • jellybot
Martin Sargent needs a better vehicle for his talent
Ramble, Tangent, Dryer sheets bad...yawn. Sarah Lane is probably a great person but she isn't so funny or interesting to listen to on a podcast. I'm a long time Infected fan and I was dissapointed in this podcast. Martin Sargent needs a better vehicle for his talent :(
  • Sk0rncobra
    Love me some TWIF!
Sarah Lane and Martin Sargent definitely have a weird chemistry, but that's part of the reason why I like this show. It seems like they've known each other for years(which they have) and they get into squabbles and fights, but their fights are hilarious. Some people forget that this podcast isn't supposed to be informative or descriptive it's supposed to be two people just messing around, which makes it a nice change of pace to all of the other podcasts from Twit. Its refreshing to listen to this gem every Friday and I would recommend it to anyone!
  • Zini in MA
    Love it!
TWIF is one of my fav podcasts. It's silly and fun, exactly what I want to watch/hear after a long work week. Thanks Sarah & Martin!
  • Boston Skeptic
    Just plain awful.
Apparently this show uses a novel definition of "fun". I listened to two full episodes and have concluded that "This week in boring and inane drivel" would be a better name. Honestly the hosts just go on and on and never manage to get to anything amusing. Avoid it like you might get a disease from listening.
  • cmr1290
    Great show
I listen to most of all of the twit podcasts this is one where it's like a change from Tech talk all the time TwiT FTW
  • Yellowman19
    Horrible
Two people that speak just to say something. Rather than 2 people talking because they have something to say. Seriously, get a producer to keep you two focused. It's as if they have ADD or something. Big fan of Sarah, but this is bad.
  • nextgeneric
    Great show
The chemistry between Sarah and Martin is one that makes the show funny and interesting. Definately recommended!
  • Rynosaurus1995
15 minutes of whining about not getting a snooty job... that ain't fun...
I'm really surprised that these two have been allowed to be a part of the TWIT family. This podcast does not live up to Leo's normally high standards. I found myself wondering how these people found themselves in a position where they could get paid for having BORING conversations under the banner of "fun"...? Ok, maybe their geniuses... but it doesn't make the show any more bearable.
  • Contrari
    MAKE IT STOP!
I tried TWIF once because it's associated with TWIT, so I expected good things. Ugh! It's unlistenable. But it keeps coming in my subscription to TWIT and sometimes it starts playing if I didn't catch and delete it first. Not just boring. Jack Bauer could use this podcast as a torture device to get information out of terrorists.
  • setapart1
    Fun just fun
OK its true they just talk about random stuff. But its just fun to listen too. They don't just talk about articles they bring them in a great way. They make information just fun. This Week in Fun is just what the title says. FUN! Martin and Sarah are the greatest!
