    So helpful!
This instruction is very helpful! I have found the concepts are more detailed and broken down in a way that works better for me than others I have tried. Highly recommend and hope there are more installments to this series!

    Exciting
Here is Chinese language learning and practice in convenient snack-sized portions and a format I can utilize on the move! I am thrilled! The combination of a teacher and language learner co-host help me learn. Hearing the phrase in one language then repeated in the other feels like natural learning. The grammar explanations as we go keep it manageable. I have been using a on-line program to learn Mandarin and this podcast will be an excellent accompaniment to support my efforts. Mark’s Scottish accent is a bonus, because it broadens my linguistic experience. 我是美国人 I am from the US, and I appreciate the additional phonics. 加油!Way to go Coffee Break Chinese!

    AMAZING, please make more
This podcast has been so helpful in my Mandarin learning. Hearing conversations broken down, and tone corrections, has improved my conversational skills so much. Both hosts are patient in explaining and learning. I listen to a lot of podcasts and I’ve never learned so much before this one. Absolutely fantastic, hugely recommend for Mandarin learners. Please make more!!! Your teaching method is SO helpful.

    Breakthrough
I’m half Chinese and have long been ashamed that I can’t speak the language. Coffee Break Chinese is an incredible, breakthrough resource helping me to learn w/o judgment. Everyday I know more than I did the day before. The show has an effective format and two very charming hosts. The fact that it’s free is crazy-cool. Thank you!

    Really effective and enjoyable!
Mark is a fantastic teacher and his approach (with helpful tips, connections, strategic pauses, and clarifications) really makes the learning stick. This is the most effective learning of all the approaches that I am using and it has accelerated my speaking significantly. Thanks Mark and Crystal!

    Very Helpful! 我很喜欢!
大家好! I listen to several Chinese podcasts and I'm really liking this one. A lot of other Chinese podcasts feature a native Chinese speaking teacher and a native English speaker who is already very advanced in Chinese but plays the part of a beginner/novice. I like how this podcasts features someone who is ACTUALLY learning Chinese in real time! The student host asks the types of questions someone learning Chinese would actually ask, and he often asks to clarify words, grammar, tones etc. It takes a slower pace which I appreciate but at the same time it doesn't feel dumbed down. The teacher host is great, so clear and helpful. I also like how the episodes are a bit longer than other Chinese podcasts. I hope they keep making more episodes! 谢谢!

    Another Coffee Break language!
This is Mark from Radio Lingua and I'm delighted to be the learner on this brand new podcast and course from Coffee Break Languages. We're over the moon to be adding a new language to the family and I'm very excited to be learning a language which has always fascinated me. As a teacher and speaker of other languages I hope that I can bring my passion for language learning to this course, and indeed ask the questions that our listeners have. We hope that Coffee Break Chinese will grow into another very successful podcast series and will have fans from all over the world who want to learn some Mandarin Chinese. While there are many Chinese podcasts already on iTunes, we believe we are bringing something new to the market and we hope that listeners enjoy using this. So, let's get started - kāishǐ ba - 开始吧!
